I’ve stayed here twice now -Great breakfast every morning.. really accommodating and friendly staff. They only offer housekeeping every other day, but if you ask for it, they will come every day -And they do a very good job. There’s a decent size fridge In the room. They use text messages as communication for everything from getting your car from valet and to speak with you in general (ie: need towels etc) it’s very efficient. The location is wonderful right in the middle of downtown. You were able to walk to many So many great restaurants. There’s a Starbucks right across the street as well as many bars/lounges, coffee shops, stores etc. They also have a very nice lounge area in house with good bar drinks and food. I’m kind of a hotel snob and could not find actual five star hotels in the Gainesville area-I’ve seen two other properties similar to the Hyatt downtown and they’re nowhere near as great as this hotel. this property is considered to be “three stars“ but honestly, it is about as good as any five star hotel… the only things this hotel does not offer that most “5 stay /luxury” hotels offer is Bell service and room service. But with it being downtown and all the DoorDash and Uber eats options that’s not really an issue for me. Bell Services -while always great isn’t a huge negative, in my opinion. (No spa either - but again not a deal breaker for me. Oh, they have a nice Fitness area and a nice pool with fire pit. And the pool is heated. Obviously(as you see) I cannot say enough good stuff about this hotel. :)

The hotel rooms and overall property is beautiful. As well as feeling extremely comfortable, we enjoyed the complementary breakfast each morning. And no matter whether it was getting breakfast, needing help at the front desk, requesting valet service, or just chilling at the bar, the staff was wonderfully helpful and friendly. Last, but not least, the location was great to simply walk to restaurants or shops without needing our car most of the time.

This wasn’t a big deal for us, because we like our privacy, but they did forget to tell us that the maid service is only every other day so a few people were confused when their room was the way they left it in the morning when they returned in the evening. And the way it works out, since the (Maid Service) will not come the first day you were there, if you are only staying two nights, you actually won’t have (Maid Service) during your visit. I realize this probably helps cost efficiency in other areas, however, for many (Maid Service) makes the difference between choosing a hotel or a bed-and-breakfast at a lower price.

The location is the best! Great view. Breakfast was clean and the gentleman clearing the tables was nice and hard-working. Visually this hotel is unique and their commitment to art is inspiring.

The first night there must’ve been a concert going on because the street noise was incredible. They provided us with earplugs, but even that didn’t work. Considered changing rooms but the next night and the rest of the week was quiet, so we happily stayed in our room. Stairwell is dusty.

I always stay at this property when I come visit my son who goes to school at UF. The location is excellent since it’s close to the school and located downtown so you can walk to everything you need. The staff is always friendly and the hotel is always clean.

This time I stayed, I had to use earplugs since the bar was loud at night in the location of where my room was, and I also had people I guess checking in late after midnight that were loud in the hallway.

Corner room was a little noisy as it was downtown, but ear plugs were provided in the room. Unfortunately missed breakfast. Customer service from Jake at front desk was great as well as Nick the valet. Checking in was a bit tedious as there was no parking spot available so just had to leave car in street while checking in. Bed and pillows were very comfy.

It was immaculate and modern. Every little nook and cranny was clean. I noticed the girl mopping, her water was clean😁, so yes, I notice. My husband is ina wheelchair so we were anxious about being away from home. But everyone…the valet staff, housekeeping, check in personel, restaurant workers, everyone we met was thoughtful and helpful beyond any place we have stayed. Everyone smiled doing their jobs, they greeted us in passing asking if we needed anything. We came to celebrate our anniversary and we were delighted. Thank you all for helping us have such a special weekend on our staycation! We can’t wait to visit again. Oh I mustn’t forget to comment on the amazing breakfast!! Also the blackout shades were wonderful and thanks for the earplugs😉. I also appreciate the glass mugs and drinking glasses in the rooms.

I honestly can’t think of anything.

Excellent breakfast choices. The pool included a fire pit and had the infinity pool style edges. It was long enough to swim laps. The hotel was located in the middle of downtown near the best bars and restaurants.

Upon arrival, the valet service was confusing, but it got better. They require you to go inside to request the valet upon arrival, but the front desk staff seemed unaware of that policy. When we stopped in the street by the valet stand and no one came to get the car, I called the front desk and was told to wait there with hazard lights on. After half an hour, another car pulled up behind me, got out and went inside to request the valet, and he came out immediately. The valet said that I should have gone inside to request the service, as the other car had, and took care of the other car before mine. After that one bad experience, the valet service worked very well with an easy text link for requesting the vehicle.

The staff was super friendly and nice. The location is top notch! Near to everything. The rooms are very spacey, new and even tho it was during Fest weekend, I couldn't hear any noise from my neighbours. The sofa bed is good enough for 2 people.

The breakfast could have more vegan options, some veggies or labels about the allergens. Also, after the first room clean up, they forgot to stock our room with towels, toilet paper and such. Unfortunately, we noticed once it was too late.

Always a great experience, being staying at the Hyatt Place in Gville, since last March every month and always it has been wonderful the staff is always very welcoming and friendly. The location is perfect

Don’t get the room serviced every day and no lotion or other amenities in the room. Not good coffee maker in the room, towels can be a little thicker

We needed to stay downtown Gainesville for a night, and not only was this the least expensive option, but I was amazed at the facilities. The bedroom was extremely comfortable, sizeable and clean, but the swimming pool really stole my heart. So often hotels advertise a swimming pool one can hardly swim in, but Hyatt's pool is looooong! and the deck is amazing. Would recommend!

I don't like, in general, that there is music playing everywhere. On the pool deck, for instance. After a swim, I just wanted to lay down in the sun and read for a while, but the music on the speakers was distracting. That is not just a Hyatt's issue: it's pervasive in American culture. Everywhere has to feel like a mall, with background, generic music. The joy of silence needs to make a comeback.
