Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa

The property seems to please everyone! There were a couple families, friends gathering for a wedding, young couples and more mature ones. Everyone seemed happy and relaxed. I traveled with my dog, a 60 pound golden mix who loves the beach and it was perfect. My son and his family came to spend the day and we enjoyed the beach and pool as well. The staff is great, friendly and the restaurant is perfect for a 5 day stay. I didn't leave the property for anything!

The view was amazing. The front desk, restaurant and valet staff were exceptional. I also loved the coffee in my room.

Unfortunately, I had hair in the shower and on the floor of the bathroom. I was very disappointed with the housekeeping staff. I brought up the issue with the front desk upon departure. My fiancé wanted to call his credit card in to pay for the room and whoever told me it would not be a problem was wrong. They were asking him to fill out a form, send a copy of his ID, and was pretty rude stating if he would use a laptop, it would be easy to get all of this taken care of. He stayed up until 3am to try and get this done to no avail.

Location is excellent. I loved having a 5th floor balcony oceanfront room. It was clean and comfortable. Overall, I was extremely satisfied! Thank you!

The resort fee is high and SHOULD have covered the beach umbrellas! It is silly to charge a guest for coverage on the beach. Also, because of covid and no cleaning service, a percentage of that fee should have been deducted. The valet service was good. Room service dinner was not good. Porch breakfast and dinners were good and the bar/dining staffs were very efficient and kind. So, in all, it is first class. Giving your guests some kind of discount for no cleaning service and no extra charges for umbrellas would have been very classy and appreciated! Judy Flohr

Excellent design in an ideal beach location that is quiet and removed from the beach party scene. Good-sized rooms with appealing decor and nice size bathrooms. All rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable.

Beach access restricted from 445 pm on due to "turtle nesting season." However, turtles do not come out of the water until it's dark out, so I think the chairs could be offered for use until 6:30 or so.

Beautiful not crowded beach. 2 pools. 2 beach bars. Great dining room for all meals. Complimentary beach chairs, water bottles, fruit, beach towels and chocolate chip cookies. The cleanest resort. Very nice staff. Gorgeous interior

No stevia for drinks. Pillows too flat. Rooms on 3 and 4 near pool view rooms have nightly noise from the people partying in pools at night. No closing time.

Location is superior, right on the water. Resort provides two pools, with one facing the water and one larger pool in the back. Great resturant but only one option. Valet 24/7 service also very good.

Coffee bar service should be extended in the mornings, as oppose to ending at 8am. The resort provides more free water than you would need for a football team. Cut some of the costs of cases of water and provide guests free coffee in the morning. The cost of the room was very expensive, but we chose for a birthday celebration week for a family member. Only one resturant option. Need a more casual option vs the four star Drifts especially for breakfast or lunch.

The resort is absolutely amazing, gorgeous design, great facilities, amazing beach and lots of very nice small perks like free fresh fruit , fluffy beach towels and 24/7 pool, excellent food def worth staying there

There was a wedding happening when we stayed and I felt it put a lot of pressure on staff - not all areas of the hotel were accessible anymore, the pool area was busy with the ceremony preparation and it felt a bit like we were the unwanted guests :( I was asked by the wedding planner to make children in the pool be quiet for the ceremony!

The room was very spacious, and the views were beautiful. I loved the fact that we were able to see turtles lay their eggs on the beach, and make their way back in the ocean, right from our balcony! Great experience at a very relaxing resort.

Happy with all of the above. Cleanliness was great, shower exceptional.

WE had a conference there, the restaurant food was great but they had trouble accommodating our group of 50 for lunch. Many of my colleagues were forced to find food elsewhere. The restaurant was not prepared to serve a group. Time was limited.

Location is unbeatable! Directly on the beach - you can either swim in a pool or enjoy a sunbathing on the beach. Beds are really comfortable, beach staff kind and very helpful.

Our “Ocean view room” had a direct view on a pile of beach chairs - really disappointing. Staff was not helpful to deal with it. I understand they have to store the beach stuff somewhere, but it should be either moved from the front of the rooms, or such a room shouldn’t count as “ocean view”. Although you pay “the resort fee” you have to pay additionally for umbrellas and only two beach chairs are included - which is strange if there are four people staying in the room.
