Location and the beach. It feels really quite and private. There are, I think, 16 rooms in total, so it naturally can't get crowded. The beach is separated by the "wall" from the ocean, not sure how to explain, but you can't run directly to the water from the sand. Instead you have 2-3 stairs to go down into the water. But it doesn't really matter. The water is pretty shallow and with the nice sand for ~40-60 feet in, so our 5y.o. could play there alone for hours. You can rent a kayak/paddle board/snorkeling mask and fins for free (just need to leave your ID at the office). You can bring your food to the beach and eat there (there are tables) - pretty cool thing to do while watching the sunset. :) There is Harriet's kitchen 8mins walk from the hotel - for breakfast (really great), and Italian pasta factory restaurant 3mins drive with delicious Italian food - for lunch and dinner. Overall it was EXACTLY what we wanted for the 3 days at the beach. So, I will definitely recommend it to my friends.

Internet is flaky, and we almost didn't have t-mobile coverage there, but we didn't care much about that. The room's floor was covered by sand and was quite dirty, but probably that's ok for the hotel at the beach - again, we didn't care much :).

location is good for the Key Largo area... the lizzards are cool and the motel cat is friendly... beautiful coconut trees, just be careful the coconuts do fall, they should warn you about that. The King size bed is comfortable. Shower worked great.

Our room was a bit small for a King Suite.. there isn't a dresser so plan on living out of your suitcase, however there are two small drawers in the night table and a hanger system on the wall (ours was kind os rickety) the floors defintely could be cleaner, the bottoms of my feet pretty much turned black from the floors, not so clean .... no joke. No freezer in the mini fridge and you have to pay for ice at the main office.... I've never see that before in all my travels having paying for ice at a Motel/Hotel.

Great value for money! This adorable place is basic as far as the rooms - however they are spotless and pretty modern. The private beach is paradise. It is so quiet and peaceful and never packed. You can walk straight into the water and swim out and into the quiet bay. Free kayaks and paddle board for use on site, picnic tables, hammocks and lounge chairs on the beach and dock. Wi-Fi was a little inconsistent but we didn’t care because we were in Paradise! The rates were so affordable compared to most places in Key Largo which I’ve stayed before. I will only stay here in the future for the reasonable rates and the pristine private beach and grounds!

After I booked, I was somewhat put off by all the glowing reviews of posters with just 1 post (fake, anyone?); as well as some very negative reviews.  However, we were very pleased with the very clean, large room (with excellent AC) on entering.  It appears to have been recently renovated and done well.  I know it sounds trite, but the room smelled so clean and fresh.  Plenty of very hot water, and great water pressure. Also, the beach and pier are great, and at least in the late afternoon, there were plenty of loungers for all who were there.  The water was clean, and the bottom was clear of rocks and obstacles, making it easy to walk out into the water. And NO bed bugs in room 5.

The room was a great size. Very clean and light. TV was wonderful. Shower was nice size. Bed was too soft for me but perfect for my husband. Beach was small but nice. We would recommend this logging.

We needed more counter space in general. The chairs we very small for the table area. The lounge chair was dirty so we only used it for luggage. We did have a little issue with tiny ants. Nothing big just in the bathroom. I believe they were water ants or sugar ants. Typical in Florida. Not a game changer.

The room was clean and staff were always friendly and very willing to help meet our requests. The view from the beach area was magnificent! It was fun to be able to snorkel in the shallow waters around the dock.

We stayed in a Jr. Suite room. There wasn't enough surface space to set things on such as prepared food, toiletries (in the bathroom) or suitcase(s). I'm not sure that it's even possible to add a shelf or small table in the room space though? We stayed over Labor Day weekend and the beach area was very crowed/busy mainly with a couple large families. I felt like I was intruding on a family reunion when my husband, son and I would be lounging at the beach/water. I also feel that several of the people who were at the beach area were not paying guests of the hotel on one of the days over the weekend. If we had it to do over again, I would probably try to stay on a non-holiday weekend due to the largely increased cost of the room and the chaos that was at the beach area.

An amazing gem of an inn. Small, quaint and quiet. Private beach, dock area and kayaks and snorkeling gear provided free to guests. Beautiful landscape and friendly staff. The rooms smelled beyond amazing! Very crisp and clean, almost like the laundry had been hung to dry outside. I would definitely book here again. Very relaxing. While there isn't a restaurant or bar on the property, there were several not too far from the inn (within driving distance) and a WinnDixie a few miles away.

I liked the location, the room was nice and spacious. AC and fridge worked great! Nice beach-like decor. The place was quiet and peaceful, with awesome views. Peaceful water and very swimmable.

The snorkels options were not the best, I mean it was a free amenity but the fins were youth sizes, some googles had been tied where the adjustments did not work, and some of their snorkels were missing the seal letting water in.

The hotel was very clean and cozy. Great beach, pier, and amenities.

The dumpster should be moved, someone's cleaning fish and dumping the remains in the dumpster. As an avid fisherman myself, I understand fish heads and guts need to go somewhere and with it being the Florida Keys it's not unusual or unexpected. It's really an excellent motel and I work in the hospitality hotel buisness. I would most definitely return.

We arrived after dark. The light on the roadside entry sign was burned out so that it took us a minute to confirm that we were at the right place. The illumination in the parking light was not very bright. Once you knew your way around, everything was fine, but as a new arrival the lighting made things more difficult.
