The Pelican Key Largo Cottages

Excellent location and staff.

Uncomfortable bed, small pillow, only one chair in room.

The property is old but very, very charming. We were surprised that it have bay side beach access, and a dock. Plenty of chairs to sit and watch the sunset. Very Private property. Free access to kayaks with room costs. Laundry facilities on premises which was a big bonus for us. Lots of cozy quaint cottages. Our cottage was very comfortable, updated bed, bathroom, very nice. Parking right out side cottage with a table and chairs to sit on just for our cottage right out front door.

The check in person was efficient but a bit "grumpy". We traveled a long time and had never been to the area, we could have used a friendlier welcome. The registration building and approach to the facility was a old, we wondered if we were in the right place.

Nice spot on the Gulf. Great for sunsets. Free use of kayaks a nice amenity. Our room had very nice shower. Only negative comment is room close to highway very noisy.

WE absolutely loved our stay here! The staff are all so friendly and accomodating, John and Irina particularly, the service was wonderful. Our little cottage was spotless and bed was so comfortable that we both had the best sleep we've had in months! The little beach is great and the free beach towel and kayak use was a lovely bonus. The location is fantastic - walking distance to several nice restaurants and breakfast spots - Mrs Mac's and High Tide being our favorite. I manage a hotel in Miami Beach and I can say from a professional standpoint that these people are doing it right! Thank you to everyone for making our stay so nice.

Nothing - everything was great!

The place is really nice, the rooms were clean and most of the staff were nice. The cleaning lady was really rude, but she was really the only once. We really didnt have the need to deal with the staff much. The rooms were a little bit small but I guess the price was fair. The beach area was so nice! Kids friendly which was what we were looking for. We plan to go back. Thank you for everything.

The cleaning lady was very rude. We gave back the keys and went back to finish loading the stuff to the car and she started taking over the walkie-takie in spanish bad about us. Good thing we were already leaving. But it wasnt pleasent.

Cute cottage room, roomy, clean, refrigerator, microwave and table. Small porch with table and chairs. View of beach/ocean from outside the room. Tropical atmosphere. Pavilion and trees for shade and lounge chairs at the beach. Free use of kayaks. We saw starfish, jellyfish, small fish and a small shark. We used one of the charcoal grills for making supper after the beautiful sunsets! Sunsets are amazing here! Staff is friendly and helpful. Laid back cottage & beach atmosphere here! Restauants next door are very good. A few minutes to Pennecamp State Park and shopping. I'd come back to The Pelican Key Largo in a heartbeat !

A/C was a little loud

The location is the selling point. We had a beachfront property and it was exactly that. A fantastic private beach right in the back garden, what’s not to like. There are also some nice eateries in walking distance and after a days driving and exploring it is a rarity to be able to walk to grab dinner and enjoy a beer.

The facilities are tired and basic with little to use in the kitchen area. Whilst a cooker and fridge and microwave are provided, you’d struggle to use them as there were less than a full complement of cutlery let alone plates, cups and glasses or cookware.

Amazing waterfront property on Key Largo. This was one of our favourite locations during our road trip in the US, watching the sunset on the beautiful little private beach being a major highlight. Although the room we booked was very small, it was exactly as described and perfectly comfortable for us and our two large cases. Very comfy bed, efficient a/c, and a decent size shower. Check in was easy, staff were very polite and welcoming with good recommendations for local restaurants and the surrounding areas. Included in our stay was a two hour kayak rental which is an amazing extra as many places around the keys charge $60+ for this alone, making it an incredible value for money stay. 10/10, would definitely come back in the future.

Amazing location (right at the private beach), not too far from Miami (1.5 h drive) for a reasonable price. The room was nice and the staff was always around and helpful if we needed an extra towel etc. The scenery was fantastic with all the palm trees and beach. The free kayaking optin was the cherry on top - we did see manatees and dolphins close to the private beach, as well as iguanas at the small island nearby (Key Pelican).

Not much really, someone used our parking place for a while in front of the room, which was a little annoying. parking places could be better assigned to rooms somehow.
