Hampton Inn Lakeland

Due to a snowstorm, we had to cancel one night of our two night stay after the official cancelation deadline. The staff sympathized with our problem and credited us for one night. We explained then that we had a very early flight the next morning and could we check in at noon? Although check out was 11 am, and the hotel had been sold out, the morning staff made a room ready for by 12:15. And the room was lovely, the mattresses were wonderful and the bedding was heaven. How many stars can we give them?

Nothing. Everyone and everything was perfect.

Overall the hotel came well up to the above standards I have come to expect when staying at a Hampton Inn facility... I was extremely happy to see the mask and gloves mandate was strictly being followed in the breakfast area although in NO other areas of the hotel..

Upon arrival I was rather rudely informed by receptionist, Martin, that there was no reservation at the hotel in my name.. I immediately presented him with a copy of my Booking.com confirmation print out. After waiting several minutes, he reappeared, made no attempt to apologize for the mix-up . Never experienced this behavior at any other Hampton Inn..

The staff was and management were excellent! We were in town for a special occasion, and meeting up with a lot of family. The hotel staff made sure we had the space we needed in order to make the visit memorable and special. As a bonus the hot bar breakfast the next day was very good.

Overall comfort of beds and cleanliness was great. Staff was friendly. Pool was great.

The breakfast was great but they ran out of food towards the end of the time frame. Also, I had to ask for restocking of certain items instead of it being monitored and replenished. Also, behind the beds in the room it was super dusty. The baseboard and carpet. Layers of dust. You can smell it if toy kneel down. I had to retrieve a toy that rolled behind the bed.

Breakfast is always wonderful with many amazing choices!

Please have curtains that cover the window fully. It only went across half the window which made our privacy minimal plus it let in too much light.

Actually, everything. Very efficient and friendly staff. First hotel EVER that actually had extra pillows waiting for me in the room (I always request it, never before actually happened and I travel A LOT!).

The location is great. The hotel was updated and clean on the inside.

There wasn’t enough coffee pods left in the room each day. I always had to go down and get more.

Check in was easy. The room was comfortable; we were only staying for one night so it served our needs. Location had adequate dining options.

The price seemed particularly high but the Strawberry Festival was nearby which could be the reason why.

The staff and breakfast were wonderful. The hallways were very quiet.

The laundry room only had one washer and one dryer which didn't heat very well. Someone left their clothes in the washer which prevented us from using them within the 9-9 hours.

Clean rooms. Honored my request for room location. Very helpful staff. Pool was great. We did not eat breakfast but coffee was great.
