Hotel staff were so helpful and friendly, it was run very efficiently and our comfort and needs were being checked via text every day and also by staff members. If we needed something it was seen to right away. The 3 choices of eating places were at set at different menu and price points which was great plus and you are literally a 10-15 minute walk from St Armand’s for even more choices. The white sand beach is beautiful and clean with plenty of gorgeous shells to hunt for. I will definitely go back.

The biggest issue for me was that there was no way of locking the room once inside like a security bar. If I was traveling alone that would have been a real problem for me as the parking lot had access to the rooms, think motel style! That needs to be changed! The Nespresso coffee is dreadful, I don’t understand the hype but that was the machine in our room, take my advice and go down to the reception opens at 7am much better coffee and refillable. They provide tea but no kettle being English we found that strange. I am very faired skin and a $15 + tip a day for beach umbrella was disappointing as we were already paying a $40 a day resort fee.

Desk manager was rude at the time we arrived. She was in really bad mood and perhaps our room wasn’t ready at 3 pm , she told us we need to wait and recommend us to drive around the island for one hour instead of invite us to stay at the resort.

The location is ideal as is the fact that there is a shuttle bus to the nearby shops and restaurants. The beach was beautiful and there were lots of beach and pool facilities for the guests.

Was disappointed in the room which I felt was like a motel room with the door opening on to a common walkway. Would have much preferred a room with a view and balcony. There was nothing in the location of my room to want me to stay in the room to enjoy the hotel. Would have liked to spend time sitting on a balcony and perhaps enjoying a good view. I didn’t like the excessive valet charged for parking the car.

Great location right on the beach. Staff was excellent and very accommodating, we received great service at Drift outside patio for lunch. Air conditioning in room worked great (very rare for a beachside hotel). The grounds are beautiful.

Beautiful tiki bar but too crowded to sit and closes at 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights. 8th floor bar was also very nice, but also too crowded to sit and closes at 9:30pm on Saturdays (the sign says 10pm, but last call had already been given). Hot water in shower was temperamental and at times, just lukewarm. These things would easily be overlooked and forgiven, except that the price point of the room makes you expect more (the hotel has outdoor corridors). We would still return here, hopefully with a better room rate!

Beach was gorgeous. Access to the beach was quick and easy. Pools were also easily accessed, clean and family vs adult pool was much appreciated! Room was very spacious and the full kitchen was VERY nice. Turn down service was a nice surprise!

More info on how to reserve beach chairs/umbrellas - did not realize we could "reserve" them a head of time and needed to do this to get closer to the ocean. Next door people had a HUGE fight - woke me up to the point that I was going over to talk with them, but then the women was out of the room. Went back with her to get her phone (scared for her safety). She must have come back a bit later, as the arguing began again, until door slammed (again), and then things finally got quiet. Did not know how to reach hotel security on phone in room.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a nice small kitchen. The AC wasn't working when we first arrived and I had to call twice to get someone to come fix it, but then they did and it worked perfectly. The pool and beach areas were nice. I also enjoyed lunch at the pool side grill and breakfast at the top floor restaurants, both very good. The hotel is close to the best hand-out place in Sarasota and the shuttle does round-trip trips throughout the day.

One of the pools was closed, which meant the only pool was pretty packed. Lunch and breakfast were pricey and lunch took forever.

Beautiful colors and impecable taste of decor in lobby & our room nice & blue flower headboard!!. Real Comfy Mattress & pillows. reception desk gave us frozen non-alcholic daiquiri of our choice. We LOVED THE DRIFT RESTAURANT. Especially with my breakfast was a Vanilla soaked French Toast, on Cuban Bread with Mandarin Orange Syrup and Mandarin Oranges!!! Come On!!! :) My boyfriend loved his breakfast sandwich and it was larger than expected :)

Shelly beach when you first get in the water, but can't be helped . I heard about the dredging to widen. Tiki Bar is reallly cute, but try to get a seat there. I think people sit there for hours. We sat at a table behind it. The kitchen either ran out or purposely tried to subsitute a different bread than what the menu described for my Lobster Roll. The manager nicely came over & after talking with me, he comped our entire check. Very professional way to handle that issue. :)

Beds & sheets of fine cotton felt amazing, beach easily accessible, beach chairs and two pools very nice. We enjoyed the tiki bar at pool and food and drinks very good. Ate at Drift Restuarant and some of best food we had on our trip. Waiters were very friendly and helpful. Liked having refrigerator and large tv.

Hated the "Expresso Coffee machine" in our room. No instructions and would not stop after cup was full so kept running over. Just a plain old coffee machine would have been great. Why does everything have to be so complicated.

The pool area was very clean, very well maintained. The sleeping area was quiet and the room was large along with the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and clean.

The bathroom is all shower if you know what I mean? The same tile runs throughout and there is nothing to keep the water back from inside the doorway so if you have socks on they will get wet if someone has recently showered. I also could not, for the life of me, figure out the in room coffee maker. The room had a “smell” that wasn’t awful but I imagine was due to moisture because of the proximity to the water. Off putting things but certainly not deal breakers.

Staff were so nice and friendly, very clean everywhere you went. Surprised that some staff remembered me from my stay there last year.😁

This year we were there during a hurricane and had to be evacuated, understandably, but weren’t given much help or at least suggestions on where we should go. I felt they should be a bit more prepared for these types of situations to help guests feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible in this stressful situation since this is “a vacation”.
