Magic Beach Motel - Vilano Beach, Saint Augustine

The location was very convenient to the beach! Staff was very helpful and sought to help us with a couple of issues, for example we didn't have a phone plan more than willing to facilitate messages. This is an older property so my expectations about the room were on par. The room actually offered two little fridges along with a microwave, ice readily available. Three locations to eat within walking distance, plus two more at the end of the island. Publix very close would get salads for lunch.

The room itself could use a deeper clean for example the fan. Some mold detected in the shower. Water pressure was minimal.

it’s older and no frills. our room smelled funny, but we didn’t expect a 4 or 5 star hotel. we didn’t get towels on the third day and had to go to the desk - not a big deal!

The location on Vilano Island was perfect for our purposes, on a beach that was accessible and less crowded than many Florida east coast beaches, especially at spring break. The room was clean and well-equipped. There was ample parking and a plaza across the street with a grocery and a couple of small restaurants. The staff was friendly and responsive. The balcony from our 2nd floor room was nice and there was a jacuzzi tub.

Nothing in particular, really. It was a simple accommodation during a pandemic. It was convenient, clean and reasonable.

Like everything. As soon as we stepped in the door of our room, the clean, fresh smell stood out. Loved the wall mural. Bed was very comfortable and the hot, hot shower water was a plus. Room was a bit small but it worked for us. Beach was a 5 min walk to our left as you step out the door and the Publix Supermarket was about the same walk to our right. Restaurant in the same location, including Chinese food. Downtown is about 5 to 10 minute drive over the bridge, depending on traffic. Everything really in shouting distance. I wanted to do some fishing so the beach/surf right outside our door was ideal and the fishing pier was about a 5 min drive. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the future. And we can't forget the staff, they were outstanding, great customer service, 5⭐'s.

They have a hotdog kitchen and catering facility on site. The first day there I had ordered a motor city dog all the way and it was delicious. The lady delivered it directly to my room. I totally loved the fact that it is an actual motel from the fifty's, and I'm glad they saved this historical site from being torn down. I think the receptionist said it is now on the national historical registry. Anyway, this motel was a wonderful place to stay!

There was nothing at this facility that I did not like. Super water pressure, Xtra clean and a super nice staff!

The Motel was so beautiful loved the old look and all the lights on the outside of the motel..the ocean was just a few steps away and it was so beautiful to see the sunrise..The staff there was so amazing they went out of there way for you if you needed something..The maid Stephanie was a very hard worker she made sure your room was clean and everything stocked up for you and was always smiling the Property Manager Carlisa was so nice and always helping you out too.All the staff there was kind and very friendly..They have a Hot Dog place there it was so delicious the food..I HIghly recommend this place to stay out one of the Best places..

This place is a GEM!! My boyfriend and I stayed over 1 night and couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The personnel were friendly and helpful – for example, when I asked for a quiet room, the staff was considerate of this need and booked us into a room she thought would be good and it was!! I slept soundly and happily! The room was also very clean and so delightfully original – with an immersive beach scene painting that spanned two walls, and the bed was comfortable as well! And what a location – so close to the beach – just a two minute walk to have our feet in the Atlantic ocean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to forward staying again.

The room was exceptionally clean, bed comfortable, everything you could need and an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, and supermarket.

Had asked for ground floor room, but did not ask for a handicap room, which we were given. It was clean and spacious and nice, but off to the side, bad parking, and when we arrived, the laundry cart, garbage can, black garbage bags, and boogie boards had been put in front and to the side of the room door and also blocking the air conditioner. We were told by the desk person that the housekeeping room was next to our assigned room and they would move things later. No other room available. Slight improvement afterwards...they got rid of the full garbage bags, but left the rest. Nice hotel, good location, but really bad first and second impressions due to housekeeping mess left on sidewalk. Would stay there again, but definitely not near the housekeeping room

We have been to St. Augustine every year for 10 years. Each time we go to Vilano every night to walk on the beach. We always said we should stay at Magic Beach and this year we did! It was awesome and we already booked for next year. The staff were so nice. Our room was much bigger than I could have imagined. Very clean. We had a little kitchen. The bathroom was perfect and plenty of hot water. We could not have been happier!! And location to the beach......absolutely PERFECT!!

I really don't have anything bad to say. Maybe the pillows could have been softer but that is a personal preference.

My favorite is knowing the beach is right there, it’s like a dead end road so at night it’s completely empty, there’s a Publix some restaurants and shops in walking distance. I also loved all the lights that light up the Hotel. I also like that they make sure you have one parking spot.

There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property but if I had to choose something. The kitchen and Shower was kinda small (but we are large people) and it still worked for us. It wouldn’t keep us from going there again.Also they make sure you have one parking spot in there lot but if you travel with multiple cars; they have to park on the street in the “beach parking “; which was still fine with us. cars are close enough and I did notice police presence once in awhile.
