1) We loved THE STAFF working at this hotel. We were there for 4 nights, 5 days and the ladies (Cathy Burns, Jennifer Freeman and Kathy Reid to name a few) working there were amazing. They treated us like family helping us with Uber, giving us free bags of chips, giving us information about the shopping in the area and making sure that we were comfortable. 2) This is a historical place, the type that we love when compared to the ''square boxes''. 3) The breakfast is included and it offers A LOT of variety and the food is excellent; also we ordered room service and the food was delicious. 4) The room was spacious enough with a mini-fridge and a table with two chairs. 5) The pool was looking clean and the lounge chairs around it were inviting. 5) We were allowed to have breakfast ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL which was very nice since we were early. Also tea and coffee are offered all day long, free of charge. 6) Our room was ready by 11:00 AM which was wonderful on the first day since we had to be out of our cruise ship very early. 7) The television in our room was new and had many channels. 8) The place felt very secure and was very clean. 9) There were reminders of early tourism days in Saint-Petersburg everywhere in the sitting room and patrons spoke to one another contributing to a friendly atmosphere, enhanced by the dogs allowed. 10) The cost was very reasonable for all the amenities and the great service.

1) We wished that there were more activities in the area; there are a few restaurants not too far away but few options. 2) The windows did not opened and the air conditioned-heating system is quite old so the air was stuffy in our bedroom.

Very good especially when you consider the overall decline in hotel breakfast offerings. It did lack protein however

Advertised as a bed and breakfast. Meal was plastic throwaways handed through the door. Not what i think of when i do bed n breakfast. Either a set down place or proper serving pieces ie plates and silverware

The staff was seriously awesome and accommodating! I saw them and watched them and even heard them on the phone interacting with customers, and they were always so wonderful! Our room, dining room and common areas were very, very clean, and that's so important to us. The housekeeping staff was on top of everything everyday. We'd definitely find a reason to come back again and again!

There was a function there that weekend, and we didn't have full access to the breakfast offerings or dining room. We ate in a (very nice as well) sitting room, just off of the dining room, but had a limited breakfast. Wish we would've known that this would be the case, so we didn't count on a full breakfast. The hotel's toilet paper (1-ply) was just terrible...bring your own!! 🤪 Some maintenance is needed, but it is a 1920's building. Even though, windows should be clean, especially on the outside so the view can be pleasant (Room 211)

the staff is amazing, the rooms are good size and comfortable, clean. loved the history of the hotel, I think the hotel should capitalize on the famous people who stayed there, should have more info, pictures of those people like shadow boxes, curio cabinets with items relating to those famous people to look at and read about. maybe even painted murals on the outside of building in the fake window looking architecture in the pic by the pool on the right.

there wasn’t a hot tub by the pool. that is a big plus, especially for the older guests like we were. and the pool wasn’t heated but still refreshing to use.

The rooms felt much bigger than a standard hotel room. We had a Veranda King room and the accessibility to the veranda was very nice. The breakfast and staff was wonderful. The location was perfect to our destinations of Tropicana Field and beaches. The cost of the room was very reasonable for how nice and comfortable everything was.

When we came back to the hotel after dinner the parking lot was completely full and we didn’t know where to park. We called the front desk and the staff member was very helpful and even came outside to guide us on where to park.

Location was excellent, easy to get to. Staff was SUPER FRIENDLY/HELPFUL!! Contactless checkin was easy and convienent.

No fault of theirs- just other boutique, historical hotels I’ve stayed in at other locations were more ‘upscale’. THIS is HISTORICAL and that’s the main focus. IF staff weren’t so friendly I would not have enjoyed it and been sorely disappointed. Tiled showers, something better than builder grade faucets would be an improvement along w/blackout curtains and plugins for phones, etc. the 1” gap under the door wasn’t nice either. BUT… it was extremely clean!!!

Crystal is a close (if you have a car ) to downtown St. Petersburg and is about 5 miles or so. Parking (free) was right next to the hotel and always had enough spaces. The hotel facility was very comfortable respecting its heritage. Staff were great !!!

The biggest negative was the distance to the nearest beach... unless i missed it there is not a beach within walking distance. St Petes Beach has good beach access and good retaurants to choose from. By the way, if you're red tide sensitive it might be a problem

The breakfast was awesome!!! The staff was even more awesome!!! It was very clean, and we LOVED the privacy tickets (do not disturb) on the doors (Babe and Marilyn). Also, reading the history of the hotel was a plus. Will definitely recommend it to others.

The air conditioner in the room was loud, and the fan ran constantly, so it interfered with sleeping. We could not set the fan to "auto". Otherwise the room was fine. Also, we had to ask for decaffeinated coffee, but the staff was more than willing to provide it once we did ask.

The hotel is beautiful and classy. It is in a great location, close to everything. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. You can really tell they put so much care into everything they do! I have never been so impressed. My daughter and niece were so impressed and excited too!

The location puts the hotel close to a lot of great places, but the street next to it is very busy and noisy, so it was sometimes hard to sleep through the night.

The historic hotel was true to its original style. The staff was beyond friendly and always had a smile. Flowers and plants all around the hotel made it look just like it had 100 years ago! I loved everything about this hotel- its not over the top and the subtle beauties of the space make it very unique.

The location is right next to a main road so sometimes the traffic can be heard at night- But that is not on the hotel. The room could be a little too humid, but with such an old building its a given that there will be a few little kinks.
