Courtyard by Marriott Tallahassee Downtown/Capital

Probably of the best places I've stayed - it looked newly remodeled, the courtyard and pool area are outstanding. The room nicely appointed. The staff was extremely helpful in helping us to get ice (it was a heat wave and the ice machine was empty) and napkins for our take out dinner.

It seems there was only one set of elevators - not nearly enough or as convenient. would have welcomed a small breakfast, or at the least, freshly brewed coffee (besides the little brew in the room pot). While the onsite Starbucks seems a nice idea, I would have appreciated a complimentary cup of morning coffee.

The facility was nice and clean. The staff was very helpful. I enjoyed my stay. I didn't have breakfast but due to eating facilities being close to the hotel, everything worked out. I look forward to future reservations at this location.

I can't really say that I didn't like something about my stay because my purpose for the visit was to accompany my grandson to FAMU summer orientation. I wasn't expecting nothing special from the hotel. I was already aware about the breakfast issue.

Great location, easy to find, quite, clean, well presented, excellent, friendly staff and excellent customer service. A great example of the Marriott brand. Had dinner and breakfast there and both great. All the staff were excellent, and the front desk team went out of their way to help sort rooms for us to suit our needs. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again. Many thanks.

There wasn’t anything to dislike.

We were attending our son's graduation from FSU. We had booked another hotel, but at the last minute saw the Google reviews and cancelled. The Courtyard Marriott had 2 rooms on short notice open and I immediately booked them. The hotel was nice and comfortable and the staff were very pleasant. We were able to get adjoining rooms thanks to Ian at the front desk. We were traveling with my mother and she was nervous about staying at a hotel alone, but that issue was thankfully resolved and the entire trip was very nice.

The only issue was paying over $600 a night for what would normally be a $120 room just because of college graduation. I understand supply and demand, but that feels like gouging to me. However it is the way things seem to work and all the hotels jack their prices to the moon when special events occur near FSU.

Comfortable, clean, nicely done. The courtyard and pool area is awesome.

Saw that breakfast was available for an upcharge. I guess that perk has to be paid for somehow, so while I would have liked a complementary breakfast, I appreciate the option to choose. However, freshly brewed coffee (not the inform little carafes) would rally be appreciated.

Location and space was perfect. Loved the balcony and security access. Enough room for me and children.

I came with my children (7 and 4). And it wasn’t an adults only hotel. As you could imagine, staying at hotels for children is exciting. Within the first few hours of my stay I was told we’d be asked to leave if my children don’t “simmer down”; I had only been there 3 hours.

The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean.

The bathroom shower could have been a little cleaner. They seemed short staffed because the girl checking us in was also pouring wine at the bar. I went back to ask for extra towels and they said someone would be down in a little while with them. We went to bed and then they knocked on the door with the towels. The sliding glass doors led out to a rock area but it didn't seem very clean and the parking lot during the weekend became very littered. Chicken bones, smashed watermelon and just a variety of trash.

I have stayed at this property before and found the staff courteous and the rooms clean and neat. I love the personal greeting on the TV, the location is easy to access and close to lots to keep me entertained while in the area.

There are 3 things that I am not fond of: 1. no microwave in the rooms. I would stay multiple nights, but cannot afford to eat out for each meal ( a microwave would allow me to reheat left overs. I am not a fan of sharing a public microwave.) 2. The ac/heating unit in the rooms. 3. No heat in the bathroom.

The staff was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I travel a lot and this group sets the bar high. I was sitting in the lobby one morning and I overheard the manager giving the staff a pep talk and it just made me smile. You could just tell he cared about his staff and in turn the staff cared about their jobs. Nice quiet property, family friendly. I will definitely stay there again when in town.

How close it was to the college and how quiet and clean it was. Also loved the patio with chairs to sit outside.

Breakfast was not as expected. We expected a buffet style and all there was was Starbucks and bagels and muffins and an egg sandwich. Might want to specify that it’s not an actual breakfast buffet.
