Sonesta ES Suites Atlanta Alpharetta Avalon

Listen, this isn't a luxury resort, so don't book it thinking it is. But, if you want to feel like you have your own apartment for your stay, THIS IS THE PLACE. We booked a double 1 bedroom suite, and it was perfect for our weekend. Full size fridge, microwave, stove top, coffee maker, dishwasher, all in an adorable little kitchen. A nice sectional couch in the living room. Bedroom was able.to be closed off, and 2 beds and a dresser (closet in the bathroom) were the perfect size for us and our daughter. Location was perfect. Restaurants, grocery store, gas station all close (we walked next door to First Watch for breakfast on Sunday). Front desk staff was super friendly. There were some rude people and they handled it like true professionals.

Not much. Like I stated, not a luxury resort, but perfect for a family and felt like our own apartment. I understand with COVID-19 the need for grab and go breakfast, but I wasn't a fan of their process. You had to stand in a line and tell someone everything you wanted and he would put it in a bag for you. My own food issues, but I would have rather just been able to look and grab what I felt like that day.

Oh my goodness, this hotel is in a great location. Also, great staff all around they was top teir the rooms were very clean, just some minor issues, but nothing to spoil the trip just the tub stopper didn't work for my son he don't take showers and the refrigerator on the out side had rust on it but like I said minor you want be disappointed if u stay here the rooms are like apartments the rate is so good and they gave us a complimentary upgrade 😀 will definitely stay here every time I am in the area

Just that the rust was on the refrigerator, but on the outside, the inside was very clean and no toaster oven in my room, and the tub stooper again minor issues also they should add more choices to the breakfast but overall it's a good breakfast

I was actually really surprised with the property. My friend and I stayed here for a concert (the amphitheater is like 10 mins away). For $147 (fees included) we got a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite with a full kitchen & living room. It was basically an apartment with dishes & glasses and cook wear. It’d be perfect for a long term stay. (They even have guest storage closets in the hallways - I’m assuming you can rent them for a fee.) very cool. Something to be aware of - they have $100 incidentals hold upon check in, which would’ve kind of been nice to know ahead of time just in case someone was traveling with a limited amount of money and didn’t have a credit card.

The only thing I could note was that there weren’t any signs to direct you to the elevator and the hallways all look the same, so I definitely got lost leaving my room a couple times lmao

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sonesta! The front desk staff were friendly and went out of their way to help with any questions I had. The lobby was clean and smelled so nice when we first walked in. Check in was quick, and we were given all the info on breakfast, the pool, housekeeping, parking, she was VERY thorough explaining everything to us, which I loved! The room was SUPER clean, with a comfortable bed and sectional couch. We also had a large kitchenette with full sized refrigerator and a stove. Our room was a queen studio, but provided plenty of room for my daughter and I. The hotel itself is right near plenty of wonderful restaurants and about 2 minutes from the beautiful Avalon shopping area. We fell in love with Avalon!! We will absolutely be visiting Sonesta Suites again!!

The breakfast was honestly not what I expected. We stayed during the week, which I was told meant there would be a hot breakfast. Hot breakfast was scrambled eggs and bacon or veggie sausage on Thursday morning and French toast in substitution of the eggs on Friday morning. Bananas, small yogurt cups and packaged muffins were also available; however, there was only one flavor of muffins each day; apple cinnamon. I loved the hotel, but would have to rate the breakfast as a disappointment.

Gwen was very helpful and kind. Loved her hospitality. Room was spacious and very very clean. Had a full fridge, full size coffee pot, dishwasher, microwave and a small cook top includes dishes, glasses, silverware and pots to utilize while you stay. Bathrooms were spotless and very clean. Beds we're comfortable and nice fresh clean linens. Nice amount of closet and drawer space. Loved the little living room area complete with sofa that pulls out into a bed and a table and chairs to eat on. Lots of amenities to take advantage of including fire pits, pool and continental breakfast. Slept in so did not get to partake in breakfast but did go look and very clean and a great light start to your day. Honestly this was a perfect stay. We travel a lot and by far the best bang for your buck. 5 stars 🤩🤩⭐We will definitely stay here again. Already planning for our next staycation with this hotel.

Everything was perfect!!

The room was a two bedroom suite. We had a small kitchen, a small dining table, a living room with a pull out loveseat, and two bedrooms, of course. Each bedroom had its own bathroom with tub/shower. There is plenty of room for a comfortable extended vacation, and I was thinking it would be a good place for someone who wanted to work remotely in a different city while getting out and about at night. The location is great. Alpharetta has a lot to offer by way of restaurants and shopping. I had no idea how nice this area was. It's about a 30 minute drive from midtown, but easily within driving distance of all the attractions you'd want. I have stayed downtown and in midtown numerous times, and this has been my most enjoyable stay in Atlanta so far.

If you are someone who likes to be within walking distance of restaurants and activities, this is likely not for you. It is a short drive to everything you would need, and, as stated above, it's a reasonable drive to all the touristy things.

The room was generously sized and the bed was nice and comfortable. Location was great. Breakfast was good. Staff were all very pleasant.

The toilet in our room ran all night, so I was up and down fixing it in the middle of the night. At breakfast several of the packaged items were out of date - I didn't notice this until later, when we were eating the muffins in the car and realized they tasted "weird".

Wonderful staff, including cleaning and maintenance staff. Yanet at front desk is kind and very helpful. Awesome breakfast. Comfortable bed, loved having the kitchen in room. Convenient location too.

Cable channel options lacking- not interested in sports and news. Hotel does not accept cash payments,☹️ This should be on website!!!

Location was nice. And I like that the room had a small kitchenette.

The breakfast was abysmal... Candidly, if I had know if was going to be so poor, I probably would have chosen a different hotel... In addition, the refrigerator made quite a bit of noise at nite... Made it a bit challenging to get to sleep... Quite loud.

The breakfast was ample and offered fresh variety and nutritional balance. I believe there were vegetarian sausages which was a blessing. Please have vegan products available.

Everything was good. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet
