Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jekyll Island

Pool and Jacuzzi were very good. Boardwalk and path through the dunes to the ocean was terrific. Our room was an end room which was quiet and private. The location on the island is excellent and also convenient to the Marketplace at the traffic Rotary. The cheese omelet and coffee was very good. The view from the breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor was awesome. a window wall facing east to enjoy the sunrise over the ocean. Be sure to check out the wall mural around the stair well, a hand painted original. We look forward to going back soon.

The breakfast was fair/average and could use some updating and breakfast meat besides sausage gravy. The hostess was not engaging. No conversation. No service except to replenish food items on the buffet. She was working alone and kept everything stocked, but to have a second person and someone to walk around and pour coffee and talk would be a nice touch. I was surprised to pay an island entrance fee collected on the roadway like a toll booth. It had nothing to do with the hotel or It wasn't the amount of $8.00 (debit or credit, cash discouraged). I just never expected that.

This is a great place to stay. They are currently (August 2023) doing an extensive renovation on one wing of the property. There are no rooms available on that side and the construction DOES NOT affect the side where rooms are available. When the renovations are complete, it will be even more amazing. The pool areas are great. The office/breakfast areas are great. You can rent bicycles on-site, which is amazing. I recommend getting a suite. Our suite had a living area and a sleeping area with a kitchenette in between and separate entrance doors.

Just an FYI, at NO FAULT OF THE PROPERTY, obviously; there are rivers that meet the ocean in this area. When the tide is out, the beach becomes a muddy river bank and flows like a river.

It was close to the beach- which is a big plus for my family of 6. There were two pools, one was heated but both felt fabulous. Beds were cozy. Plenty of room for all of us. Breakfast was free and plentiful! Everyone was so kind. You can walk nearly anywhere.

There wasnt a whole lot that I didn't like! Just a side note for someone who has never been to an island- you do have to pay daily to be on the island- we didnt know that. That isnt the hotel's fault at all! Just wanted to make sure others knew (because i didnt do my research!)

Great location to the beach and the rest of the island. We rented bikes and had a wonderful ride around the island, easily stopping to check out different areas along the route. This was a highlight for sure!

Breakfast area- many people lingering at tables after they finished their meals, while many others are standing and holding their plates of food, waiting to eat. Not a hotel problem but I think the staff could manage the situation more. I watched two ladies sit at two tables combined with at least 8 chairs, Meal and coffee was finished for at least 40 minutes that I saw. I think staff could have gently pulled one table and some chairs away so others could enjoy their breakfast warm. This is just one example. I was shocked by how inconsiderate many were. . Staff were very nice and managed the food area well.

We have state at this Days Inn many times through the years. It is an oldie but goodie!! The rooms have been updated and are large and comfortable. Most of the return guests are older folks who have been coming back through the years. The beach is very wide here and you are close to the village shopping and dining options. The beautiful redeveloped boardwalk is also right next door. In season there are two large pools and hot tubs, lots of outdoor areas for sitting outside. There is a large gathering room for the breakfast.

The outside stairs and banisters need a bit of touching up. We were very comfortable in our updated room 428.

Awesome time. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They actually held a bbq on site for the holiday. What I totally loved was the fact I could walk right through the lobby and straight to the beach. No worries about where to park, or being stuck in traffic trying to get to the beach, or parking fees, the beach is right there. Another great perk is just park your car at the hotel and you can walk to all the shops and restaurants, or rent a bike, I walked. Days Inn also had a pretty good breakfast which is very important to me as when I'm on my vacays, I eat breakfast then plan to be out the remainder of the day and usually won't eat again until late evening at a restaurant somewhere, so having a decent breakfast is a must. They served a variety of food including omelets, sausage n gravy biscuits, cereals, oatmeal,yogurt, muffins, bagel, juice, coffee, etc.. The hotel lobby also had items you can purchase like snacks, drinks, and also lots of flyers, and information in the lobby about tours, or musuems. They hotel also had outdoor movies, and plenty of other activities and games near the pool and beach area. * Remember you are on an island, many of the stores and restaurants closed earlier than normal, there is also an entrance fee you pay entering Jekyll Island. Overall, I had a great time, very relaxing, and highly recommend staying at Days Inn.

Maybe add a little more meat to the breakfast menu.

I was here in Jan and now again in April. I am sure I’ll be back before year’s end. The room was excellent for our 3 generational group. The balcony was the best part! We watched the sun rise over the ocean every morning. Staff is friendly and very helpful with all manner of things. The motel is .6 miles walking along the beach from the new retail area. The overall location is close yet removed from the masses. We love having 2 pools to choose from - 1 heated!! Breakfast was a great start in a beautiful setting. All this and bike/boat rentals, too!

Very nice property originally the Corsair Hotel in 1969. The property is well kept, with two swimming pools, one heated and a jacuzzi. Barbeque pits with picnic tables provide ample places to relax and unwind. Full breakfast with pastries, breads, eggs, sausage gravy with biscuits, great coffee, assorted juices and cereals, if you're in the mood for pancakes, you will have no worries as a machine makes the pancakes with a wave of your hand, the view of the ocean is an added bonus . The room was nice size with two beds, very comfortable, flat screen tv with cable

I stayed in room 224 and it had a balcony. If you want a nice ocean view stay in room 224 or higher number. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean. Location was great. It is under a renovation so keep that in mind.

The curtains next to the beds do not block the outside lights. The curtains are light blocking but they just don't cover the top of the window and a good amount of light comes in at night. It may not bother some folks but it was a bit bright for me.

We have stayed there once-in-a -while over a long span of years and always enjoy it. Never before have we found it crowded. The staff appeared to handle the myriad of people very well. Both a man and a woman at the desk were most helpful. The breakfast room, though crowded, was great and the food was good. Two people in charge there were very pleasant while working hard to keep things stocked and clean.

It would have been nice to have fewer people, but I was glad to see the hotel doing well.
