The Westin Jekyll Island

Room was nice, lobby was beautiful and the staff made it extra nice. Great location. Harry's was busy and nice and the bartender did a great job for a busy place (football viewing).

I called before booking to check to see if the property had a hot-tub. We wanted one specifically because it was cold and we thought that would be nice. We brought bathing suits. The person on phone said "yes" and that was one of the main reasons for booking there. It was roped off and "closed" and not even cleaned. Also- the tub in our room was super slick. The buffet was just ok for $45 per person.

The room size was very nice and suited to two people. I thought the furniture was comfortable and it was an appropriate size for the room. We had plenty of space to move around. The shops and restaurants that surrounded the hotel were one of the best setups I've ever experienced. You don't have to leave the area for anything...I mean anything. It's all there somewhere. Snacks, beer, clothes, grocery items, etc If you want a quick lunch, there's The Love Shack inside a general store called Jekyll Market (which sells local beer on tap). If you want a muffin for breakfast or a slice of cheesecake for dessert, it's in the market. A dinner out... there are five restaurants within a 2-3 min walk from the hotel. It's a utopia!!

There were dozens of black crows around the property. Everywhere you turned, there was another crow and some days it was difficult to enjoy the balcony because the crows sat on the rail and would not leave. We also thought that it would be easy for one to get into the room.

The breakfast was good! The room attendants were extremely friendly and helpful! Management, specifically Anna, Karen, Monae, and Carnell were very friendly, helpful, and professional! They were really great!!

Television program guide wasn’t the easiest to use; bathroom tissue holder was a little loose. However, overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay!

The property, common areas and rooms met all expectations. Everything was clean, décor was elegant with lots of areas to accommodate guests needs (business, quiet, bar, etc...).

Lack of late dinner/snack options after 8. Upon arrival there was nothing available in hotel - requiring a quick run to a nearby option. Only buffet in Reserve....dinner was excellent but would have liked option to order from menu.

Wonderful location. This was our second stay here. Good food at the restaurant (although quite overpriced). Comfortable rooms.

Many of the customers did not wear masks, even though the hotel had lots of signs requiring it. However, there was no effort on the hotel to enforce mask wearing. Furthermore, and this is unforgivable, the Westin guarantees a deep clean of your room before your stay, but in our 8 day stay, I noticed that a MAJORITY of the housekeeping staff wasn’t even pretending to wear a mask. Unforgivable during a pandemic.

Since leaving our reservation at Holiday Inn we were relieved to see such a beautiful and well kept hotel! The staff was friendly, rooms and cleanliness of hotel (and rooms) were superb! It was a bonus to have a shuttle! We couldn’t say enough nice things about the Westin and wished that we would have booked it in the first place. We were extremely thankful you had a room left as it was a last minute reservation after abruptly leaving the Holiday Inn Resort which was a terrible experience. We were there for 15mins and decided we couldn’t take it. Thank you Westin! We will be back for sure and will immediately book here.

What I wasn’t a fan of and that steered my friend, myself snd 3 girls away was that it was $30/person for breakfast. We just couldn’t fathom paying that nor did we see why the cost of it was so expensive. That was our only downfall.

My rating on Comfort was made because the mattress I slap on gave me a backache. The room was wonderful but I had back ache from sleeping in the bed. The first night we were in a temporary room and I had no trouble with the mattress on that bed.

You could’ve had our room ready the first of our three nights there instead of us having to stay in a temporary room one night until our room was ready the next day. That was very disappointing.

A very nice hotel. The location is great. The hotel was in good condition. The pool area and beach access was wonderful. The hotel gym was good, not great but better than most hotels.

Coffee shop in the hotel closed at 2 PM. There are limited options for evening snack or drink around the hotel (basically need to go off of Jekyll Island). Would be very nice if the hotel coffee shop was open into the evening (e.g around 10 pm or so). No daily housekeeping - but that is not unexpected at this time due to COVID. Water pressure in the bathroom was underwhelming.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and property. Convivial public spaces as well as lovely private "corners" throughout. Located right on a beautiful, calm beach. I picked a room that said island view because an ocean view wasn't available, but in fact we had a great partial ocean view, though we didn't spend much time in our room. We had a great dinner in the hotel restaurant and a nice walk. I was sad because we had only booked one night, as we were just driving through. The beach looked so incredible in the morning that I called the front desk and asked for a late checkout so we could enjoy it, and they gave me the latest checkout I have ever had! I was beyond thrilled. The beach was wonderful, as was the attendant handling the chair rentals. We will definitely come to stay longer.

I didn't like that our stay was so short!

The location was beautiful. The staff was all pleasant and friendly.

The first night we got out into the incorrect room. We believe this was because there was a wedding going on. However this situation was quickly resolved by the manager, and everything worked out beautifully.
