The location is perfect. We've been going to savannah for over 25 years and this is the best location we've ever stayed before. It's close to downtown, waterfront, city market, parks, restaurants, etc. The staff was exceptional. Always someone there with an answer and the most polite and nicest staff ever. Beds were comfortable, Wi-Fi was great. It's very quiet for an old Inn. I wasn't expecting that.

My only complaint is that there's not refrigerator in every room. Would have liked that. Also, would like an option for breakfast. The view isn't the greatest on the one side of the Inn too.

Fantastic location and a beautiful building. Air conditioning was great, staff was wonderful. We ended up having to leave one night early and they were very accommodating. Would recommend!

An older building. Bed was a little creaky. Not a big problem at all

A perfectly satisfactory inn for a couple of friends with not too many requirements. Located walking distance from pretty much everything, it does the basics very well - effective temperature control, nice clean room and bathroom and lots of space for both. The staff are also super nice and approachable. The valet service was a nice touch because we definitely didn't want to park just anywhere.

I wonder if it's normal to have the mattresses so high up off of the bed frame. I felt like it was a little precarious. Also I would have liked a mini fridge and a kettle, rather than a coffee maker.

The room was clean and the beds were actually comfortable. The location is excellent. You can walk anywhere in the historic downtown from here. There is a parking garage right across the street from the hotel, which was very convenient for us.

It would be great if the rooms had a refrigerator so we could store our own water bottles, and any leftovers from eating out at all the wonderful restaurants Savannah has to offer. A microwave to go with the refrigerator would be awesome as well. I was aware that there was valet parking, but got an email asking if I needed a parking spot reserved for me. I answered yes, thinking this meant they had parking spaces available for their guests. Unbeknownst to me, this wasn't actually a thing. We've never been to Savannah so we had no idea that pretty much all parking is metered or in a chargeable garage. It would have been nice to know the hotel does not offer free or reduced parking. Maybe this is somewhere on the website and I overlooked it.

Planters Inn has the best staff. Like most places staffing is an issue, but these folks really went above and beyond expectations. I laughed and talked with them for hours during our stay. The location is great! In the heart of the historic district, next to Reynolds Square and the Olde Pink House restaurant and tavern. Also, just a short walk from the DOT, the free bus. It was in walking distance of most the great restaurants and specialty stores.

As mentioned, like everywhere staffing is an issue. Our phone didn't work, which they couldn't fix, but, that said, actually was nice. And, my short wife did struggle a bit getting into bed. It was a bit high. But, it was very comfortable!

The location of the Inn was fantastic, we could get to everything easily. The area was very clean and so was the hotel.

The Inn didn’t have room service, but the host did say if we needed anything to just let them know. The rooms are dated, the bathroom dark, and the shower and bathtub just looked old. The bed was a queen but felt more like a double. We had a view of the parking garage, and at night the room could get noisy due to the cars going by on the street. Also when the lights from the cars parked shined into the room that was annoying even with the curtains closed. There was no real wow factor or charm in this hotel. They had no complimentary breakfast, but Quinn’s Restaurant was right down the road from the Inn and that was our go to place for breakfast. We probably wouldn’t book the hotel again.

The location is fabulous except it is right next to a parking garage which is unfortunate so all rooms overlook the parking garage. They had cookies in the evening and all day they had coffee and ice water available in the lobby. Sitting in the lobby while waiting for the rest of the party to come down was so relaxing. We often sat there after getting back from our excursions to just decompress.

We were not informed of no daily maid service. Which was fine with me, I would have liked to know that was the policy. I am hoping it is for ecological reasons. They do need to let us know how to obtain fresh towels, if needed.

- The hotel is ideally located to visit the Historic Area of Savannah - They will organize pick up from the hotel to enable you to take the bus tour of Savannah, marking the trip as easy as possible for a visitor - the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful way beyond what I have experienced else where in the USA. Giving clear and concise directions and information on the proposed route. - excellent room clean and welcoming - free coffee and soft drinks in the lobby - lobby staff really looked after me as a single traveler even bringing me late night cookies to my room

Great small, historic hotel in an excellent location. Very friendly, helpful, and professional staff and service. The atmosphere is much more in line wit the historic Savannah area than many of the newer fancier hotels in the city. The location made it very easy to walk the entire historic area.

Realize times have changed, but the total lack of housekeeping services, especially when we were staying 4 nights, was a little disappointing. Also, the hotel used to have a great breakfast buffet and a simple wine and cheese offering in the late afternoon. Neither of these have been re instituted since the pandemic. I am afraid that unless the hotel finds a way to reinstate it's former amenities, this great hotel may not survive.
