Everything. We went there for our 25th wedding anniversary and ended up being very sick. We were stuck in our room for 3 days. The staff was so phenomenal they brought us extra pillows, offered us bread, crackers and tea. They were the most friendly people we have ever encountered in the hospitality industry. The rooms and hotel were immaculate. The little things that housekeeping did went above and beyond, little bits of origami with the toilet paper and tissues, and personal note. Will 1000% stay again. Even though we were unable to take advantage of the facilities the pool, kiddie pool and hot tub were well taken care of.

There was absolutely nothing we did not like about the hotel.

The pool was an excellent surprise for our kids. The slide was much bigger than we thought and offered hours of fun. The hot tub was well balanced. I like salt water pools, so you may not like it if you don't like them, but it wasn't overly salty. Breakfast was easy with different options, not gourmet but most of the family was satisfied. Customer service was fantastic. Family suite with 2 queens and sleeper sofa worked well, not luxury but very good for the value. Convenient to be walking distance from a Walmart. Easy drive to downtown Galena.

May have been just one bad room, but the sink had a slow drain. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff at the Country Inn & Suites, Galena, was exceptional! We had a bit of a problem with other guests knocking on our door so we contacted the front desk. The person we spoke to actually contacted the general manager at home and she came in to take care of the issue. It was resolved pretty quickly and we were contacted to let us know. The general manager told us that if we had any other issues, call the front desk immediately. I was very impressed by the level of customer service given to us.

You need more luggage carriers. There were only 2 and it was obvious that a couple of the guests who were leaving the same day as we were had taken them to their rooms and hoarded them so that others weren't able to use them(we waited for more than an hour for one). Maybe a sign saying that they are for all of the guests and should not be kept in a guest room for any length of time. I'm sure we weren't the only ones who felt this way.

Breakfast choices seemed abundant and the staff worked to maintain the servings timely and hot. They even sent out for a jug of milk when the milk dispenser was empty. The staff sanitized the tables and chairs after a family left whose kids appeared to have colds and were continuously coughing. They continued cleaning throughout the morning. The room was pleasant and the traffic flow seemed logical. The hot tea and coffee by the front door was very handy. My key card worked everytime. The TV worked easily. Bathroom fixtures appeared to be new and everything was clean.

Coffee was at a drinkable temperature, but I prefer it to be hotter. It seemed to cool down faster than I could pick up my breakfast and get settled.

Love the hours for check in 3 pm and check out is noon. Love the pool hours 11 pm reopens at 6 am. Outstanding breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, oatmeal, muffins, cereal, fruit, juice, and coffee. Staff is very kind and helpful. Very very clean hotel. Clean rooms and clean pool. Sturdy slide. Very spacious hot tub. Cool arcade area for the kids. Vending machines are all over. Easy to get to rooms. Culvers is right across the street. Walmart is down the street for convenience.

Beds are stiff which is common for hotels. I'm just not used to it but we did have comfortable pillows. That's my only complaint.

This is the 4th time I stayed at this hotel. The breakfast is GREAT for families with kids. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are quite clean. The pool is fun for kids because is has a slide and now they are using a salt-water system!!! No more red eyes from chlorine. I liked that very much.

Very small gripe - this time I used the fold-away couch/bed and it was hard to sleep on. I have yet to sleep comfortably on a folding couch at any hotel. Next time I'll not be so cheap and I'll rent a 2nd room! :o)

The rooms were clean with very comfortable beds. The pool and hot tub facility was great and we especially enjoyed the wide variety at the continental breakfast each morning. The staff was very pleasant, and fresh cookies were a sweet treat upon arrival. Great location to downtown, just a short 7-minute drive.

Unfortunately we were unable to watch movies in our room and the gym had limited equipment. Adding free weights/dumbbells and/or kettlebells would be a great addition to the gym.

Breakfast was good, pool area was great! Water slide, area for little kids to play that is fenced in, spa was warm and felt great to work out sore muscles, and of course a place to swim and play. Rooms were comfortable.

Breakfast could have been better by having more selections to choose from. Would rather have an option for scrambled eggs, sausage links, potatoes, than over easy eggs and sausage patties. The environment was really nice and comfortable. I look forward to going again.

Included free breakfast was impressive! Larger swimming pool size was also very good with separate free towels at pool site. Microwave and small fridge plus small coffee maker with coffee provided in room.

No stairs to lower pool level created bottleneck at slow elevator to pool level. Also, no tv channel guide for TV which had channels not in order but oddly spread across vast different locations on TV. Also, suggest one of the two small trash cans be larger since room maid service was only every 3 days. However, request paper was provided for any daily requests such as towels, toiletries, etc.

The room size was good for 3 of us but was expensive. The breakfast was amazing both days we stayed. The pool was exceptional! There was a separate kiddy pool with a slide where the water was nice and warm, a large hot tub, and a regular size pool with a large water slide that my child had me take her down over and over lol.

The price was a bit much at about $300 a night for a room with one bed and a fold out couch. The fold out mattress was very thin which made it so I could feel the bars underneath, but I can sleep on anything so sleepless nights were not an issue.
