I liked the pancake maker. They were cooked perfectly. The rooms were cozy and well insulated. Our dogs barely stirred when doors slammed in the hallway.

The floors weren't vacuumed under the beds. We had to look under the bed for my husband's keys and noticed pieces of candy and other items on the floor. We were concerned if our dogs ingested them.

The ambiance of the hotel was really nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful except for 1 housekeeper. The bed was too soft for me, Just a suggestion: the tubs are really high, need grab bars in bathrooms and shower mats for inside the tubs as the bottom is very slippery. The bath toiletries were EXCELLENT! Good quality brand. Loved them! If someone is staying a few days, the towels should be changed everyday as we are paying for the service, We loved out stay at the hotel and in Galena.

I love the location of Stoney Creek because it's close, but not located in the middle of the Galena tourist frenzy. I also was delighted at the location of my room and the room itself. End of a hall, first floor and near an outside door. My bed was comfortable, room was large and clean and breakfast was delicious. I don't usually eat breakfast in a motel, but I sure enjoyed this one, I stayed 2 nights, but wish I would have booked 3. I got to experience the interesting history and architecture of Galena, then go back to my peaceful room with a microwave and refrigerator. I hope everyone tips the person who cleaned their room, as well as the persons who fixed their breakfast and cleaned up afterwards.

No improvements come to mind

Number one- THE STAFF!!! All of them were very nice and friendly. The lady in the eating area in charge of preparing meals was very helpful and friendly. Anytime you needed something she would turn around with a big smile and attend you. Super sweet lady. The room was very clean and cozy. LOVED the Keurig coffee maker. This will be our first choice hotel again. Plus it’s dog friendly.

The only thing that makes it hard for the elderly and luggage carry is that there’s no elevator. Simply advise during booking that you need lower level. We didn’t now until the day we got there. But we will DEFINITELY stay there again. Everything else was EXCEPTIONAL!!!!

Breakfast was great, the front desk was very friendly and helpful getting us into town and where to eat. Trevor at checkout was very nice. Thanks for a great stay.

Great value. The room was very affordable for a hotel with such great amenities. The pool and hot tub were well kept and very welcome after a long motorcycle ride. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely make this my number one choice in the area.

Nothing was really unlikable. Granted our stay wasn't long, but we felt everything was at the very least good if not exceptional. If I was forced to list one negative, trivial I know, but I guess I could go for a nicer pillow. That's searching for something though.

Very nice, clean and friendly hotel. The location, although is not the most picturesque, is very convenient. Kids loved the pool, we loved the breakfast with pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. It was just what we needed to start our days of exploring the wonderful Galena area! We didn't have a chance to check out their bar, but there is one!

No wardrobe in the room - just a clothes rod in a quite inconvenient place

Somehow I scored an upgrade, so that was a win. Room, or rather suite, was lovely. So spacious! Very clean and comfortable, too. Staff were great, the two I interacted with were really nice and cool. The location is a short drive into the charming downtown, I didn't have any problem with coming and going. I tried out the complementary breakfast, it was good, pretty standard hotel fare. The only minor complaint would be that the breakfast room itself was crowded. Nowhere to sit, so I opted to take my food back to my room. The crowding wasn't anything the hotel could predict, apparently whenever I went was the time everyone else wanted to eat, too. The place worked out great for my stay, I'd recommend it to other travelers.

First the staff was absolutely fantastic! Everyone was so friendly and so attentive to any thing we ask for or asked questions about. Very helpful. I don't think you could get a better staff. Perfectly located to our downtown shopping mom and daughter trip. The little shopping center across the street, gas station and a McDonald's next door was perfect.

We weren't much on the breakfast but we aren't breakfast people really anyway so didn't matter and no maid service was different but we understand with the economy today why things are changing.

The front lobby had the fireplace on which gave it an even cozier feel. The room was clean and I couldn't hear anyone next door, so they must be pretty sound proof. The decor was great, so different than typical hotels. The pool area and hot tub area was themed to match the great outdoors; and after 10pm it is adults only. It was nice to have the option to have a basic fitness room. No fee for parking. Also, I liked that there was complimentary coffee and water in the lobby at any time. The coffee at breakfast was really good (much better than the lobby). If we needed, there was a nice little bar for cocktails.

I was expecting the beds to be more comfortable, instead they were the spring mattress. The breakfast area is not big, so had to eat outside the area and the breakfast was only lukewarm. It was tasty enough, just not hot. I would have preferred the hotel/lobby music to be more quiet and perhaps instrumental. Instead it was pretty loud making it impossible and distracting to sit any where to read for leisure.
