Location was very good. The amenities and parking were very good. The check in staff and bar staff were very friendly.

House-keeping friendliness wasn't there. Counter in bathroom was extremely high. No place to hang up a towel. Breakfast restaurant not good. Table very sticky. Server blamed cleaned cleaner instead of just wiping it. Asked for coffee and juice, waited at least 5 minutes. Decided to go. Menu wasn't good or buffet. There is a very good breakfast place 1 block away that was very good and professional.

The bar staff was very slow. We ordered an appetizer and we had to ask for napkins and silverware and he he then gave us pre wrapped plastic silverware. Also the hotel was full of kids mid teens and I don’t mind kids but the parents definitely we’re not watching there children as they were running in the lobby playing in the elevators and running up down our floor yelling and running

There was plenty of options at the hotel onsite. Bar, restaurant, pool, game room, workout room, marketplace. Thr restaurant was closed from 2-5pm. Which is inconvenient when check in is at 3pm. It would be nice if it was open on arrival. The restaurant also closed at 11pm. If you want to have a drink after 11 you have to leave the hotel. When we arrived the hot tub was down. It remained shut down our entire stay. Pros are the hotel is across the street from the event center. Perfect location in visiting for a concert, etc. We ate at a restaurant down the street since the hotel was close. We walked 1 block. Great local food! I definitely would recommend. We will absolutely stay again. The bed was clean and very comfortable! Great tv channel options. Working wifi. Very nice stay!

We were traveling for the Iowa Games, so the location was fantastic!! The 2 working at the front desk when we checked in on 1/28/22 around 830-9 PM were amazing. So friendly and helpful!! I wish I would have gotten their name.

The pool was terribly small for the size of hotel it was. A maid knocked on our door ( and quite a few other doors on the 5th floor) around 9 AM on the day we were to check out, not sure what they wanted, but we definitely hadn't/weren't ready to check out. Our bed sagged in the middle. We had several dogs on our floor, the room beside us had a small dog that barked and whined a lot and there was a bigger dog that growled at everyone and wasn't on a leash. It had a shock collar, but the collar didn't stop it.

Location was good and the food in the restaurant was good. I did order take out for dinner from the restaurant; they told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. I came down after 20 and stood and waited for another 15 minutes before it was ready. And, I ordered a steak and salad and the utensils included in the bag consisted of a table knife and spoon. I had the same server for breakfast both days and she could have been friendlier, but overall it was a good experience. The rooms, lobby and hallways were spacious and very clean.

The food service experience could have been better, like the time I waited for a take out order and the demeanor of some of the wait staff in the restaurant at breakfast.

It was down town. They have a beautiful down town and it seemed like a nice safe place for walking. We walked in the evening and to a restaurant for breakfast. We ate at the Holiday Inn restaurant for supper and we would highly recommend it. It was very delicious.

The hot tub was not working at the time of our stay, but I am sure it was temporary. They have a nice warm pool.

Had a wonderful stay. Super clean hotel, stayed several times before. Had to bring the dog this trip, and we were welcomed by staff and guests. You really wouldn't know that they're a pet friendly hotel! Didn't hear any barking all weekend! Nice restaurant and bar in the lobby too👍

Need a bigger pool, and hot tub was out of order😕👎

It was a very nice hotel, one of the best ones we've ever stayed in. The only problem was the noise level was terrible, the noise from the hallway was the worst. Otherwise I was extremely extremely impressed with the room.

I did not like the noise from the hallway, and the other rooms.

The check-in was easy, we had our dachshund which was nice to have. The pool and hot tub were great!

The restaurant needs to be updated. The bar needs help. Infrastructure is poor. No beverage menu. Glass of wine $19. Really? This is a Holiday Inn in Iowa. Disgraceful. I know I can buy the same bottle of wine in. grocery store for $19 or less.
