The grounds and buildings were beautiful. The staff from check in to check out were very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Room was very clean and quiet.
Our room didn't have heat (malfunctioning unit). We were still comfortable in the room with the extra blanket provided. At check out we mentioned it and was pleasantly surprised to receive a partial refund for the stay. Being off season, no restaurants nearby offering breakfast.

The resort is a trip. Near NoWhereLand, it is like a Republican Catskills. Golf, mini golf, adequate breakfast buffet in the huge dining room, places to walk. Be sure to check out the actual Poland Spring, now a museum.
The rooms are old and funky. They are clean and painted but date back a century. I was stuck in the Presidential Inn (1/2 mile walk by golf course to the main building) in the George Bush Room. His framed photo smiled at me every time I went from bed to bathroom. Ask for top floor in Maine Inn.

The location was scenic. The room was comfortable and clean. The front deck was great. The bartender in the pub gave excellent service.
The parking was farther away than seniors usually like. One more dining choice "on campus" would be nice. A fight, which was contained, was a little concerning. Loading and unloading luggage wasn't ideal.

It is definitely a "lodge" with comfortable and safe grounds and building. Personnel are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Just don't expect anything fancy...good value and close to PWM for a morning flight.

We extended our stay by one day so we have to change rooms . The staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful with this process.
Perhaps more electronic charging options. There were three of us needing to charge multiple devices overnight ( hearing aids, phone, cameras and computers)

what a difference a day makes. wonderful old-fashioned elegance. Very friendly & helpful staff. Amazing grounds meticulously groomed. solid entertainment options. Handy golf course immediately on the grounds. as the saying goes, what’s not to like!

I am absolutely in love with this place, my partner and I stayed in the Presidential Suite and it was exactly our vibe! We booked this place because it was on the cheaper end for a last minute reservation but had decent reviews, but we love it so much that we’ll absolutely be booking again!
I do wish there was an elevator but it honestly is totally okay that there isn’t
