The Harraseeket Inn & Suites

Comfortable, quiet, pet friendly room. Generous and tasty buffet breakfast included. Excellent afternoon tea every day, also included. Quality restaurant and bar on site - we had dinner twice, and several drinks at the bar. Indoor heated pool was a plus. Gym small but functional. Location couldn't be beat - right on Main Street, walking distance to all shops and other restaurants. 5-10 minutes' drive from several excellent state parks for hiking. Check out Bradbury Mountain and Wolfe Creek State Park especially - the latter at sunset.

Hard to find anything to nitpick! Afternoon tea is only from 3.30 to 4.30, so we just missed it one day - an extra half hour would be appreciated 😊 Perhaps a couple more vegetarian options at breakfast? It was very tasty, but quite 'meat and eggs' focused.

The H. Inn is in a Great Location. An EASY Walk in to Freeport Shops! Room 109 had a bath/shower that was TOOO Hard for me to use... so we were Quickly Shifted to the Lovely 221 that had a bath/shower that was Much Easier to get in to. THANKS!! The Buffet Breakfast was Also GREAT. Great Service....and a HUGE Variety to Choose From.. The Manager at the Broad Arrow Tavern Bar REMOVED our Food Cost on Mon. night because of our Problem with Sun. night's Dinner. Much Appreciated!!

The Broad Arrow Tavern is NOT as Good as it was when we stayed at the H. Inn before. The Menu didn't have as much Choice as previously. And SERVICE was POOR. They NEEDED More Staff. Our Dinner... a Bowl of Clam Chowder & a Burger.. was left on the 'Kitchen's Bench' and COOL when Finally Served. SO.. we sent back the Burger. Very Disappointing!!

I really liked the old English feel of the property. They offer coffee and snacks between 3.30-4.30pm which is amazing (cookies are just delicious!). Staff is super nice, property conveniently located and parking free & easy.

Even though I understand the property is dated, it would require some maintenance here and there (e.g., bathrooms should be refreshed, our window nets were worn out/broken etc.). Breakfast was a bit disappointing, and I didn’t like the fact that gratuity was excluded (we recently moved to the US and still getting used to the fact that the only thing you don’t have to tip for here is the air you breathe).

Breakfast was Excellent. The service was really good as was the selection of foods.

I did not care for the meal in the tavern. We ordered the clam chowder and the fish and chips. The body of the chowder was very good but they added big chunks of onion that were covered in hot sauce, they also had a strange potato that was fried or something mixed in. The fish and chips would have been good but I believe they added turmeric to the batter or the fish prior to frying it. I think they should not be trying to re-invent the wheel. Some foods stand on their own merits, you don't have to try to change them. I went to Maine and wanted clam chowder and fish and chips, the good old fashioned kind.

breakfast and breakfast staff were amazing. so helpful and kind. good location, close to everything. Front desk staff were very kind and allowed an early check in as well as efficient. Main lobby was clean, and room was as well. I will definitely be staying again. All and all, I would recommend this hotel, especially during the off season, as it is a very great value.

The elevator to 2nd floor by pool, smelled horrible and clearly hasnt been cleaned for awhile. Also, you can hear EVERYTHING from the staff at the Broad Arrow Tavern through that elevator. something that should maybe be considered, because the conversations werent all appropriate for guests to hear. Tub drained constantly as well, which was annoying while trying to relax in the tub but overall, a good stay!

Beautiful, clean pand comfortable place wishing easy walk of the few restaurants in town. Close to shopping and easy highway access. Incredibly friendly staff and they go out of their way for those traveling with pets. Beds are super comfy and AC works well.

And if you’re traveling with pets they do add a nightly fee on top of the already pricey pet-specific rooms. When booking through Booking.com the differently priced pet-friendly rate isn’t specified as far as I could.

Great location (except being next to busy road & intersection). Super friendly staff. Nice breakfast. A little rough around the edges. Kind of a faded beauty kind of place.

The rooms they assign to online customers seem to be oddballs. I’ve stayed twice, and the first was bizarrely spacious (and kind of sterile & empty), and the second very cramped and angular. They also seem to put online customers as close to the road as possible, which diminishes the experience.

Being an Inn with so many comforts and offerings, as well as clean, comfortable rooms and seating areas beautifully decorated. Large facility with attention to details and service. Breakfast buffet was included and very extensive with homemade multi-selections which included hot egg dishes, fresh fruit, homemade baked items, homemade awesome granola, oatmeal, etc . Breakfast reservations were appreciated with a hostess for seating and servers to provide beverages. Afternoon tea hour with homemade baked goods, tea sandwiches, cheese and crackers was also included. The indoor pool and small fitness room were great to have access to. Tavern for purchasing lunch, dinner and bar was right on premises. Multiple outdoor seating areas amidst beautifully landscaped grounds were delightful. Easy parking and free. All Staff were upbeat and always available if needed.

We would have liked a microwave or coffee/tea machine in our room….Or a coffee/tea station in a central area for throughout the day and evening. Having yogurt available on the breakfast buffet would be a nice addition.

Charming Inn with nice decor in style with the old building. Breakfast and afternoon tea included in room rate, food of high quality with different options including fruit. Very good WiFi, TV and fridge in the room, very large, comfy room with two very comfortable large beds, nice bathroom with loads of space for toiletries. Indoor pool and small gym, that we didn't use, however. Restaurant in-house that we could also order take away from to have a relaxed dinner in our room. Loads of parking spaces. Friendly staff!

Apparently favoured for bus group tours, got quite busy at times.

The club old club atmosphere was a nice change from the usual US hotel, let alone motel. Our room was confortable and quiet. The hotel offered afternoon tea with cookies 🍪 which was very nice. Breakfast was definitely a hit with a choice of freshly cooked scrambled eggs, frittatas, oatmeal, bacon and sausages and a choice of fruit juices. We realized that the town was amongst other things on big outlet village within walking distance of the hotel, very convenient.

Queen beds in the US seem to have considerably shrunk over the years. Even lean people may find them a little too narrow for a confortable sleep.
