The Blind Tiger on Danforth was absolutely lovely!! The 200 year old house is a gem nestled in the heart of Portland And fun like old houses can be with all their glory and lore like a billiard room in the basement that once was a speakeasy rooms ,stairways windows and gardens at every turn Our room named the Event Records (I think something like that) had a little turntable and albums!! I happen to be a huge fan of vinyl so there you go Sooooooo.... The decor and art thoughtful and engaging bathroom huge windows wonderful bed super comfy books in the sitting rooms excellent staff helpful breakfast delightful the whole atmosphere was gracious chill I would definitely go back and I would recommend to a friend in fact I already have AND they have parking on the premises

self-making cappuccino machine inadequate, overhead bed lights no switch off, bathroom ceiling paint peeling, toilet seat dirty (unacceptable), key lock finicky, drafty window. finition aren't perfect in the bedroom... painting, boards missing under the bed, old window, bad painting job unfortunately those few details alter the initial impression

The breakfast each morning was delicious, with quite a variety. The staging was perfect, too. I loved having the fireplace in my room, and the staff was delightful and helpful.

I didn’t like the fact that I had to leave; I really enjoyed my stay. Actually, I didn’t like that I couldn’t find football on the TV; but I didn’t ask for help, so it didn’t bother me that much.

Location was great, staff bent over backwards to meet our needs, the house was gorgeous and the breakfast was photo worthy including a beautiful loaf of home made bread.

Wanted to use fireplace in room but bc AC still on we could not use.

This was easily one of the coolest places I have ever stayed while traveling. It was the perfect option, especially for an evening when I wanted to have a more low key evening. This allowed me to enjoy all of the amenities the space has to offer.

What a great find! We were hesitant to book this place given it's not quite in the center but so glad we did. The house itself is so beautiful decorated and even better in person. The downstairs of the house is all common areas, think cozy fireplace with comfortable lounges and huge big windows. There are so many places to sit and relax we loved all the art and furniture. I used these spaces to work from during the day which was a nice change of scenery. The walk into town was really easy, mostly flat and tops 13 minutes and your right in the thick of it. Parking was right outside the house and we had no trouble with getting a car park space. We were a bit worried about leaving stuff in the car ( we were moving so car was full) but the are felt safe and had no issues. The staff were incredible helpful, we had a mix up with our rooms on arrival and they truly went above and beyond to make sure it easy fixed and we were happy. Even upgrading us the following night to another room- the Baxter. A beautiful huge four poster bed, corner windows, cool green couch and massive bathroom.. we were in heaven. We even extended our stay as we didnt want to leave! Breakfast was a self service, we had the choice from yogurt/granola/fruit and various sweet treats. It was all supplied in mini to go glass containers which i thought was a nice touch. Dont hesitate to book this place!

We enjoyed our stay at Blind Tiger's Green Eyes room. The hotel was exceptional with a great vibe. We had the best hotel breakfast in an US hotel.

We like to visit cities that are walkable and the location here was perfect for that. The room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. It really felt like we were the only ones in the house. Fireplace in the room was a great bonus.

The bathroom had very little heat. The floor was pretty cold. The sound of the water refilling the toilet tank was loud, but we just closed the bathroom door and it was much quieter.
