We love staying at the Greenbelt Sonesta Select! The parking is safe and easily accessible. The rooms are very clean. We especially enjoy the rooms that face the inner courtyard. And now, the pool and hot tub are also open. Washing machines are available if we need them. There is also an exercise room. Breakfast is available. The Sonesta Select staff are a pleasure to interact with!!! They get 5 stars from us! We feel like Sonesta Select is a 2nd home for us!

Some of the toilets had issues, but once we communicated, the front desk sent someone promptly to fix the issue.

While our experience here was mostly positive, there were a few annoyances as well. We had been upgraded to a King Suite, which was very nice. The staff was great and the location was perfect for us We were able to go to the National Arboretum and the Tidal Basin for the "Cherry Blossom Festival" without too much difficulty. Also, Greenbelt Park is literally right across the street, though we didn't take advantage of that because of the weather.

On the downside, while the rooms were generally very clean, some of the upholstery and carpeting in our living room had stains; and the HVAC system over the two rooms didn't provide enough personal control. The pet fee is "$75 per pet, per stay", which is fine if you're staying longer than one night, but pricey if you're staying only one night. Finally, we received a message right before arrival saying the pool and restaurant were closed. While the hotel provided coffee and juice, they really should have made some effort to provide basics like bagels, yogurt, cereal, etc so we didn't have to hunt down food before going out for the day.

Cleanliness is important to us. Being close to handicapped parking is important to us. We particularly enjoy the rooms that face the courtyard. We enjoy the hot tub. The breakfast is delicious. We feel peaceful and relaxed in the Sonesta - Greenbelt hotel. We know that the parking is safe. They have a stellar staff!!

One time we had noisy people in the room next door. We let the front desk person know and they handled the situation. Otherwise, the policy asks that people are quiet between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.

We have stayed at the Sonesta Select in Greenbelt, MD, for several days for more than 45 weeks out of the last year. The incredible staff, the quality and cleanliness of the rooms, the ambiance of the inner courtyard, the firepit, breakfast, the pool and hot tub, and safe/easily accessible parking have kept this hotel at the top of our list.

Occasionally, we need to call the front desk to handle an issue with the toilet. However, they send someone promptly to take care of it.

We pretty much like most things about Sonesta Select in Greenbelt, MD. We stay here each week for my husband's consulting job. We are grateful for the location, its proximity to the Greenbelt subway, its proximity to the Beltway. We feel safe and peaceful here. We are happy with the parking. We are happy to be right next to the Greenbelt Park, a nearby Costco and reasonably close Sams Club.

It would be nice if the pool and hot tub were open for use. It would also be nice is the small refrigerators in the rooms were more functional, i.e. nothing much seems to fit in it. This area seems to have some issues with the hot water, but that has not affected our choice to stay at Sonesta Select.

The hotel is in a quiet location. The room was spacious enough with a balcony overlooking a courtyard with a fire pit that looked especially great at night. The front desk staff was very helpful in making sure that internet access was given for my corporate computer and provided me with a number to contact IT for issues. A microwave was requested and provided though it was not initially requested. The room was clean. They made sure our stay was great!

The 4th floor (highest floor as initially requested) was unavailable as well as breakfast, the restaurant and the inside pool. The front desk team did inform me of this when we I arrived.

The hotel is in a perfect location right near the Interstate. The lobby is clean and comfortable with plenty of places to sit, and coffee in the morning. The rooms were large with a king size bed and queen size sofa bed.

It would have been nice if the coffee was offered in the lobby all day. Also there was no breakfast because the restaurant was closed. Also, the room layout was a little weird as the TV was facing widthwise while the bed was lenghtwise so you had to turn the TV to face either the bed or sofa. The hotel also had issues with hot water, but that was the result of a watermain break around the corner that was not their fault. These are minor points, and the overall stay was very good.

The bed, sheets and pillows are wonderful! We love Sonesta Select - Greenbelt. We enjoy access to the courtyard and the gentle courtyard lighting after dark. We love the rooms! The pull out desk is really useful! We think we would love to have one at home. We have used the exercise room and frequently use the ice machines. The lobby area is beautiful and relaxing place to spend some time. In general, we feel calm just driving onto the Sonesta Select property. Its proximity to the Greenbelt subway is very convenient for my husband's travel to work. And, its proximity to the Beltway makes it easy to get on our way when we are returning home. There are many stores and restaurants nearby, including a Costco; there is a Sam's Club in Laurel, MD, which we also visit.

We have shifted to bringing a cooler, because the configuration of the little refrigerator is not convenient. Nothing really fits. During this past visit, the quality of the toilet was different than our previous rooms. The flush handle did not automatically go back to its original position, i.e. water continued to run into the toilet. This time the microwave was noisy. We were in Rm. 106 and noticed that the toilet was situated too close to the wall. This has never come up before. In the lobby area, there is a seated computer/printer station. Behind it, there are two work areas. The outlet on the right (on the side closer to the front desk) needs to be reattached. It pulled out when I unplugged my computer (both this week and last week).

The room was clean and very well furnished. The facilities were very modern and updated. Staff was always friendly and willing to help! My favorite part of my stay was the complimentary breakfast! Anything you could think of was provided. Chef Johnny and the rest of the staff outdid themselves every morning.

There was a slightly musty smell in the room, but it disappeared after a while.

No breakfast was provided; loved the Starbucks coffee provided. Like the rooms facing the courtyard, particularly the rooms with a patio. Like the firepit area with comfortable seating. Liked how clean everything feels, including the hallways. Liked the accessibility to free parking. Appreciated the public computer and comfortable seating in the foyer area/restaurant area/indoor fireplace area. Appreciated the Marketplace. Appreciated access to extra blankets, towels, and toilet paper. Appreciated that all interactions we observed: staff with staff, staff with guests, and even guests with guests were courteous and helpful. Appreciate the central location for this hotel: Close to Planet Fitness; close to the Greenbelt Metro Station; close to a variety of shopping and restaurants; close to Greenbelt Park and the Greenbelt Public Library and a variety of facilities in that area (physical fitness, restaurants with outdoor seating, playground equipment for kids, a community center and museum with a variety of classes and activities for children, teens, adults, and seniors.

The ice machine on the first floor hasn't been fixed yet. On two separate occasions when we stayed at this hotel, one of which was during a severe thunderstorm, the alarms in the hotel when off and couldn't be turned off for a while because it required a 3rd party to turn them off. However, this also happened for a much shorter period of time on another occasion that was not related to any severe incident. This may have been fixed since then.
