The staff at the hotel were very courteous and professional; the check in process was smooth. The lobby and bar atmosphere was stunning-great cocktails and food snacks. The front desk staff also helped out with sightseeing suggestions. Definitely recommend the hotel to travelers coming to Boston-super location to so many sights in the city and pubic transportation.

The only complaint I have is that the room was small; however the front desk did offer me an option to a larger room. The daily fee for a larger room was unfortunately not in my budget-aside from that it was a comfortable room.

I like a fairly cold room when I sleep and warmer during the day. Regulating temperature and having it cold enough is usually an issue with many hotels, but not the case here. Breakfast was a really nice and for the most part with great service. The hotel looked exactly as pictured and it is in a fantastic location. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to visit. We did have a Hop on Hop off tour which could be picked up a couple blocks from the hotel. It was raining the day of our Freedom Tour and the hotel loaned us one of their umbrellas. They also helped us with Taxis the day of our departure.

We made a reservation at Strega through the conceirge . The restaurant is connected to the hotel, but evidently not operated by the hotel. When we showed up for dinner, the hostess at the restaurant told us they had no record of the reservation and was a little rude about it. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, so she hesitantly seated us.

The hotel is about equidistant to Fenway Park and Freedom Trail attractions. The closeness to beautiful Boston Commons is excellent. Everything was walkable. The bed was comfortable and the room was dark and quiet when it needed to be.

There were 6 elevators, but I believe only 2 were operational. There were lines of 30 or 40 people at times waiting to go up, and you can’t access rooms from the stairs. Wait times were sometimes 20 minutes. The room was advertised as a “Wicked Small Queen”, and that was perfectly acceptable, however, the bathroom was so small as to be dysfunctional. There was no counter space, the toilet required contortionism, and the shower was literally the size of a phone booth . ( I had to explain to my daughter what a phone booth was!)

Upon arrival, the staff was exceptional. We pulled up to the front entrance and were greeted warmly and quickly. The gentleman informed us that the valet parking was on the other side of the building. When we reached the valet drop off area, that gentleman was also very friendly and helpful. The line at check-in was long, but it moved quickly. However, we would have waited in the wrong line had an airline pilot not pointed us to the correct line. Perhaps some signage to direct guests? I'm afraid the name of the Front Desk agent who checked us in escapes me, but he was super friendly and helpful. The proximity of the bar to the front desk was key to keeping us relaxed while awaiting our turn to check in!

The king size bed wasn't as comfortable as we had hoped, but it was manageable. Check out was a breeze through the available TV checkout. Getting our car back from the valet was bad. Though the valet staff was very friendly, it seemed that they had trouble locating either our valet ticket or our car, and we waited an inordinately long time .

Boston Plaza has the look and feel of your typical classy establishment. The room had a nice big comfy bed, big flat screen TV that had a good selection of channels as well as the facility to chrome cast apps like Netflix. The bathroom was nice with all the things you would expect from a quality hotel. We used it as a base to walk and explore Boston. The piers on the south side were 20 mins walk and the the start of the Freedom Trail was a 10 minute walk. The nearest subway station (Arlington) was 150 yards away and from there you can get around very easily to all the top attractions such as Fenway Park, Harvard University, North End, etc. You can either use the valet parking service or park in the big multi story car park across the street.

staff was super nice, beds were very comfortable, room was clean and location is very centrally located to most attractions. Also , provided me with a microwave , at no cost which I appreciated, as I'm constantly heating up my coffees .

there were problems with TV or cable provider. In 4 days , had to get the TV rebooted twice. I was not alone ,as it sometimes took a while for maintainance to get there due to other calls throughout the building. I also did not like how cold they keep the lobby. lounge, breakfast area. Resort fee of 34$ per night??

Fantastic location! Better pricing than many area hotels. Lobby and front desk were busy but all were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bedding was wonderful

Room was pretty tight but we had 4 friends sharing a double Queen room. It’s somewhat to be expected especially in the city, but there really was hardly any room to move about. It didn’t bother us as we only stayed one night and just needed a place to crash before and after a concert. All the vending machines were out of bottled water… but the front desk provided us 2 bottles to compensate. which was nice.

I booked this stay through bookings.com. It was not my intention (nor my need) to book a room that was handicap equipped. When I checked in and discovered this, I mentioned to the front desk that I did not need handicapped accessibility and that I could benefit from a room that had a work desk. I told them that I would happily change rooms if a disabled person needed such accommodation. The front desk staff confirmed that the booking indicated that it was a request for a handicapped room. They also confirmed that there was no other room available. In any event, the staff were helpful and pleasant.

Excellent location equidistant to the Back Bay & Chinatown/downtown & only steps away from the Public Garden & the Boston Common. Lovely old building, well maintained and very clean. The staff were good & responsive to any issues.

It can be noisy despite management’s efforts to encourage courteous behaviour after 10pm. I can usually sleep through anything but my neighbours on one night partied through till 5am in their room & the hallway, this despite being asked to keep it down - hard to blame anyone but them however & the manager comped breakfast & dinner for my inconvenience.

We were happy to stay at the hotel. When I checked in, I asked for the highest room, and they upgraded the room for a small additional fee and upgraded it to the best view of the highest floor. I rested for 2 nights and 3 days. The transportation was good and all the tourist attractions were nearby, so We walked everywhere. The subway station is accessible because it takes 3 minutes by walk. The interior of the hotel was not old, It was modern and clean.

It was uncomfortable because the TV didn't turn on on the second night. I asked for help because it was too late at night, but We didn't know what to do because the guest service was already over, but when We plugged it back in, it worked well.
