Location very practical for treatment at Mass General. Room and beds were fine. Whole Foods, CVS and coffee shop within same block was great. Also an easy walk to much of the sights.

Expensive for what it is, and the price went up when we had to reduce to one night from two. We were told we should have called them directly to get an unadvertised hospital rate. On the website to get the best rate one had to book non-refundable, which is not possible with the uncertainties of medical treatment. That's why we used Booking.com. At check in they said they could not honor the lower daily rate. Strong smell of smoke in the hallway when we arrived. Luckily didn't drift into our room much.

The location of this hotel is excellent. 10 minutes to walk into the downtown area and approx. 20 mins to walk to the Waterfront. There is a subway T station 5 minutes from the hotel on the Blue Line which takes you to Downtown area ( State Street stop) and the Waterfront ( Aquarium stop) if you don't fancy walking. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate area. The rooms are spacious and furnished pretty much like most hotels. The beds are extremely comfortable and the pillows are amazing. The lobby and lifts are a bit dated looking when you first arrive but don't be distracted by this. The check in staff are the friendliest I've ever encountered in the US. ( Especially Shayne).

I have no complaints about the Wyndham. When I was woken on the first night by a pneumatic drill the reception were very helpful and apologetic. But it was an outside road emergency so not their fault, but they still discounted the night's rate and even offered to try to find me another room.

Everything else was fine, location, cleanliness, pool.

We didn't have a fridge in the room, and we needed to keep my son's medicine in a fridge. They said the room we had booked didn't have one, something we didn't know about, but we could pay extra if we wanted one. I would have thought a fridge is an ordinary item to have in a standard room. Any similar or even less stars hotel or motel we have stayed in had a fridge. That was a bit annoying. Also, they couldn't keep the medicine in a hotel fridge for us, as it was a company policy.

Convenient location! The room had microwave and refrigerator. Plenty of space for hanging clothes and stowing suitcases in the hanging nook. The bathroom pocket door helped with space.

The bathroom needed a re-do. The sink was cracked but totally functional. The shower curtain didn't fit the shower properly and water leaked all over the floor each time. I wish the hotel used sustainable supplies in the bathrooms. They don't provide room service unless requested as a Green committment, yet still use plastic wrapped soaps and tiny single use plastic shampoos/lotions etc.

Loved that it was close to all we wanted to see. Boston is very walkable. We walked 19 miles in 3 days and saw everything we wanted to see and more. We did use a hop on / hop off bus for the US Constellation area. It was our last day and we were tired...LOVE this city and this hotel! I will use this when I come back with my daughter. O-The parking is here too. Very convenient.

We went to a baseball game. We took a Lyft for $19. Uber was 10 dollars more. Took a taxi back to the hotel- in all we spent $70 on top of the game ticket price. Learn the subway. I wish I would have done it.

The location was great. Very easy to check in and out

On Sunday morning at 8:30 am housekeeping knocked on our way twice while we were all sleeping and before we could say we were in there she opened our door and woke us all up. We had been out at the UFC fights all night and didn’t fall asleep until 3:30 am so we weren’t too happy to be woken up. I don’t understand why we got our door knocked on since checkout wasn’t until 12 pm. Very disappointing. The restaurant breakfast was ok very over priced we felt like we could make the meal at home. $17 for French toast is ridiculous

Was close to MGH. Street was well lit to and from the hospital so I felt safe walking back to my room at night when visiting hours were over. The room itself was clean and comfortable. I booked 5 nights but my husband was discharged from the hospital after 3 nights. The hotel didn’t charge me for the extra nights when I checked out.

I wasn’t at the Wyndham for a pleasure trip. My husband was at MGH for surgery. We are from out of state and live in a rural area, so not used to city life at all. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like as I was only in my room to shower and sleep.

Waitress at the restaurant was very nice. The valet was very fast, respectful, and courteous when we did use them. The room was cold when we arrived. The area was great for walking and eating.

The restaurant on property was bad. Not good quality and very expensive. Only had breakfast, maybe lunch and dinner were better. They didn’t do a good job of explaining what was expected of you to start your meal. After that, the waitress was super nice. They didn’t clean the room every day which isn’t always necessary; but told us that if we wanted room service to come they would charge us for it. That extra charge discouraged us to use the house keeping. Parking was $58 a day and we never used the valet after checking in except to check out. Wish we would have found an empty parking lot to throw the car into and cabbed it to the hotel from there.

The staff were amazing, they make you feel at home. The hotel was a walking distance from Mass General Hospital, as well as CVS, Whole foods, Target, and many restaurants and cafes.. It is also about a 20-30 minute walk from the beautiful park Boston Common.. When our laundry did not arrive on time, they took the extra step to mail it to us to our home address..

I did not like that we had to request room cleaning. It was a hassle free task to be honest, we call at night and request and they come clean on the time we requested. But I would rather they came on their own daily.

My wife and I were thoroughly satisfied with our three-night stay at the Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill. Our room was large, bright, well-equipped, and tastefully furnished and decorated. In addition, the room was quiet, the bed was comfortable and the shower very good. There was sufficient storage place for all our "stuff" (sufficient drawers, shelves, hangers, hooks, etc.). Check-in and check-out were handled quickly and in a friendly manner. The hotel is very near a wide range of restaurants and cafes. And two major "T" lines are perhaps 10 minutes away on foot. The Boston Commons, the Public Gardens, the GreenWay and the long Esplanade park are all less than 30 minutes on foot.

Our room had a coffee maker but there was no minibar/refrigerator. (Ice was available.)
