The best location in Charlevoix, within walking distance to downtown, room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We could even see the lake from our room!

Suggestions for the owner: 3 bath towels would be nice, a mirror in the main space would be nice and a garbage can in the main space would be nice...we were in town for a wedding and I had to go to my car to do my makeup while my hubby was showering because the bathroom mirror was fogged up. Also, breakfast could be displayed in a way that makes it more appealing, we didnt try breakfast because the only thing we saw that was hot was a hot plate with a scrambled egg concoction and a hot plate with gravy. There was bread and bagels on the table and cereal boxes on a shelf that was kinda hidden by the table. I didn't peek in the fridge and didn't notice what beverages were available.

The innkeeper was so friendly and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and they have many snacks in the kitchen, and breakfast in the morning. It's homey and close to downtown so you can walk if you want.

It was the second time I stayed here, and since the last time a few years ago they took the claw foot tub out of the bedroom I like, as well as painted it white instead of pink. It was still comfortable but I enjoy feeling like I'm at a grandmother's house when staying at a bed and breakfasts, and because of the pictures thought it would still be the same. So slightly let down by no tub soak, but otherwise still a great place to stay.

The room was very spacious and comfortable with an attached private bath. There was a Roku TV in the room and window air conditioning so it was very cool. The downstairs had a well furnished gathering area and large porch as well as a kitchen where you could get coffee all day and enjoy the freshly prepared breakfast every morning. Amber had some great recommendations for sights and restaurants and was super friendly.

Parking was limited and the spots were all taken when we arrived - Amber said we could park on the lawn when we mentioned that once we were inside, but we didn't feel like moving the car so that's on us. I have a thing about microfiber sheets, and fortunately she responded to my question on the booking notes about cotton sheets before we arrived and we were able to bring our own.

Very well maintained property at a beautiful location. Safe area and was very comfortable as a solo traveler. Tim the host was very kind and gave great suggestions for food and sights. It was a wonderful place to stay!

Nice to add fans in the rooms being on a busy road. Helps with noise.

Tim the innkeeper was very accommodating and helpful. His breakfast was spot on. The location was great with easy access to downtown and the beach.

Sadly, there was no air conditioning, so it was rather hot. We had to sleep with the windows open and a fan and the traffic noise was a bit loud. The stairs up to our room were horrible and frightening. We couldn't get the TV in our room to work.

Charlevoix House has everything--walkable to downtown and to Depot Beach, charming nearly 100 year old home, and a great hostess. Amber went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She prepared a special meal for members of our party who were lactose intolerant. Amber made sure the A/C was working in our room when we arrived in 90 degree weather, and she made sure we were warm enough when it was 40 degrees at night two days later. She is very knowledgeable about the city and can direct guests toward interesting sites. Our room was large and comfortable with a renovated bathroom. Charlevoix House is a perfect location to stay in Charlevoix!

Weird spring weather! 92 degrees upon arrival. 40s at night 2 days later!

Huge selection for continental type breakfast. Amber, the hostess, made a hot item the two mornings we were there: French Toast and cinnamon rolls. Our room was large with lots of space. The walls were a little thin, it as a beautiful old home, but we always bring a white noise machine. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom had a tub and separate shower and plenty of hot water.

There was not a coffee maker in the room. However, no matter how early we were up, Amber had the coffee ready! She made two different types and both hit the spot.

It was our first foray into the bed and breakfast world, the host was so sweet to us! She went out of her way to make suggestions for our day. She gave us a whole host of snacks to pick from for the ferry ride to Beaver Island. She made a.specal treat for breakfast one morning and brownie and cookie brittle another day. Everything was always clean and we were comfortable coming and going at all hours of the day.

Our hostess was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. The location was exceptional as we could walk downtown. The breakfast offerings were very good as well. Very clean

We were in Charlevoix for a wedding and when I first booked our room it was just going to be 4 of us and the room we secured was going to be big enough. Later we had other family members who decided to attend the wedding so we needed another room. The deal I got on the first room was great but then I spent twice as much on the second much smaller room (which said slept 3 but only had one bed in it) That said I do understand it was last minute and I appreciate their willingness to help, It just wasn't what we expected.

The bed was Awesome. Think I actually slept for 10 hours straight. Amber was Super Nice and we even made plans to visit again in the Summer. Everything was in walking distance and she even gave us suggestions to restaurants and bars. The breakfast in the a.m was gr8 for a continental breakfast with many options.

The shower water temperature was a little dicey. Was either HOT or COLD but never in the middle. Other than that nothing else.
