The hotel is in a great location. It's a very quiet neighborhood and has easy access to both downtown and roads to other attractions. The breakfast was good and a good way to start the day. The staff was polite and attentive. One must remember that this is an old hotel and the rooms are very small, the floor isn't level and there isn't an elevator. However, it's charming and as long as you remember it's an old hotel, you will enjoy it. You'll expect to see Earnest Hemingway on the veranda.
The parking situation is not good. There is only on-street parking and some nights you get a convenient location and other nights you don't. But, overall, it's okay because the neighborhood is super safe and walking back to the hotel at night isn't an issue.

Overall great experience...Brenda was amazing as always (Its our second time visiting)
Found the lady plating breakfast a bit rude...when getting a plate to place my fruit and granola she went crazy and said she is the only one who handles the plates, when i explained i did not want any cooked items and just wanted the plate for my fruit and granola she told me that she is a nurse and I need to grab a glass plate not the other ones because she is the only one who can touch them...ummmm ok, but it was for ME I was the one touching it, why would i want her touching it? And what does her being a nurse have anything to do with it? Get some manners!

The nostalgia was like being in the 1800's due to the age of the building and the entire association it is located in. The food at the dining room was great. The rooms are outdated but it fits into the atmosphere. The staff is friendly and it seemed the other guests enjoyed it. The hotel is in the process of new ownership and we hope they continue what the previous owners had. If your looking for a place to transport you back in time your wife will love it! Breakfast is free and beyond good.
Mattresses need to be replace and we were told the new owner was probably going to replace them, other than that AWESOME!

The breakfast was great each morning we were there. The staff was professional, polite and friendly. We had dinner there one evening and the food was excellent, The community the hotel is located in has a long history. You can walk down the steps, down the sidewalk and over the overpass and you are setting on the beach. Beautiful sunsets is an understatement.
This hotel was built in 1911 so there are going to be some issues but that is part of the package. The air conditioner was loud and ran almost nonstop. At some point they remodeled the hotel and added bathrooms in each room. I did not research when this happened, but people must have been a lot shorter back then because the shower head hit me in the nose and with how small it was, there was just enough room for me to bend down and wash my hair. :-)

I must say, the Terrance Inn and Restaurant is delightful! I feel like I belong with the warm, very friendly hospitality. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, not far from Little Traverse Bay. Inside reminds me of a grandma's home, with its charm, elegance, and clean efficiency. The grounds are lovely, with several outdoor places to sit and enjoy. I ate breakfast and enjoyed a spectacular dinner comfortably in their classy dining room. The staff is sweetly accommodating, making you feel special. It may not have all the amenities of a ritzy hotel, though their charm, comfort, and graciousness far outweigh the non-necessities. Terrace Inn Restaurant inside the Inn was classy yet comfortable to enjoy their breakfast buffet and elegant dinners. If I'm vacationing in this area again, I'll choose to stay here!
It would've been nice to have a mini fridge on my room to keep my bottled water cold.

Breakfast was wonderful! The location was perfect. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was very calm and peaceful in the lobby area. Evening musical performances were very good as well.
The Roku TV in our room kept buffering due to poor bandwidth, so we had to ditch watching anything on TV. The shower head was a bit low. We managed OK, but a taller, less spry individual may have to wash from only chest down :)

Dinner at 1911 was incredible. Breakfast was made to order and lovely. Loved the inn and the town.
Just a little more attention to the room would have pushed it over the top. The bed sagged in the middle and needed winter linens. Plumbing was iffy, but the inn is old so I can forgive that. We didn’t know how to work the jacuzzi or the fireplace. The staff is great and helped us.

The complimentary breakfast was very good. The 3 course dinner is excellent as well for the price and options. The lobby is nice for sitting and enjoying free coffee and tea. Also seeting outside by the fire was nice too.
The room I had was a little small but only because I am 6' 7". The bed was decent and the stand up shower I had to duck or crouch to wash my hair.

Perfect location close to everything, loved the beautiful historic building and the staff was amazing and friendly. Restaurant is beautiful and breakfast was delicious and included in stay. Would definitely stay here again for future visits to the area.
The only thing I did not like was that there was no available parking for hotel guests, parking was on the street and it was sometimes difficult to find places to park.

Everything went well. I especially liked the ambiance of the inn itself. The building was simply gorgeous and well kept. (I love old buildings from that era). Our room was small, but cute and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast. Also, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. If I am ever staying overnight in Petosky again, it will be here.
Parking was hard, but I understand why it was this way.
