I found this on Booking.com, last minute. Price was fair, for a holiday weekend, location to Castle Farms was great. Room was clean, loved the large coffee maker, table, and fridge. The view of the lake was nice. Bed was awesome !! Tiny toilet too.

Low ceilings, teeny tiny shower. When reserved, we were told they would try to get us in early. We had a long travel day, check in is 3, wedding was at 5. We got there before 1, tried to check in, and were told they were behind, and they would get us in at 3. We were there, we could see in the windows that it was ready. The neighbors said they saw it done earlier. Someone either wasn't in the know, or was dishonest with me.

Ease of getting in and out of the location. The room was clean. For the price point it was good.

The unit could use a few more electrical outlets. Would have appreciated a guide for use of the tv remote (seniors) The depiction (photo) of their location makes it appear that their property is on the water, while the lake is actually across the highway and the access there is private. In all fairness to them, they don’t make any claim on their site about being on the water.

Very nice and clean. Loved that it was just across from the lake.

A bit small for the cost. Remote door lock was confusing at first. Check out by 10 am was early, considering the cost. Bathroom was very small.

We had a queen room for the night. Loved the room. Clean and comfy. We will be back next hunting season but in the family suite for more room.

The only cons were no nightstand on one side of the bed and the bathroom and shower is TINY. If you are a bigger person make sure you check the size of the room you are renting.

Location is right across from the water and easy to get into the quaint town for a nice coffee or breakfast. It is a great location in a less touristy part of northwestern Michigan!

No way to get extra creamer for the coffee in the room as noone was at the office in pm or am

Having property near by with a unsutable home to stay at, this was the nearest hotel but with good reviews i decided it would be a great stay and i was blown away at how nice it really was. Beds were comfy, Shower and bathroom were nice, and mini fridge worked amazingly. Staff was very nice, i had forgotten my pillow and the owner Dominic called and texted me personaly to let me know about it. Hotel was also very over the phone and in person of a dog I was going to bring along then decided against, All in all great place to stay.

Upon entering my room I was overcome by the smell of cat urine, the A/C unit also put off a moldy/fowel smell casuing me to not turn it on even though i like a cold room to sleep in. Shower certin also seemed alittle small and tended to flood the bathroom a bit.

Great location! Staff sent the room code the day prior and the room was great and just as described. Room was close to everything and had all we needed. I would highly recommend.

Nothing to complain about

We liked the cleanliness of the room and the property. We loved the location of the motel as it is close to the park across the street and so many places like Boyne City, Petosky, Lake Michigan at East Pointe etc... and the price is very reasonable.

We didn’t like the WiFi as it would repeatedly tell both of us that we no longer had service and to check our connection. The owner was very nice at check in but outside he always had his earbuds in so we couldn’t get his attention to say hello.

The ease and convenience of reserving, checking in and out were fantastic. Our room was very clean, welcoming, comfortable and perfect for our overnight needs!! Hidden little gem and highly recommend!

Absolutely nothing.

The location of the Retreat was perfect. Just across from lake Charlevoix and a quick walk to the beach.

I think the check-out time of 10 am is a little early but I was able to check-in earlier than 3 pm.
