Holiday Inn Express Romulus / Detroit Airport, an IHG Hotel

The check-in was easy, the rooms were clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable, they use all Dove products in the bathroom, and the shower was spacious, hot, and had good pressure and shower head. The hotel shuttle was timely and convenient, the full breakfast was delicious, and the hotel was conveniently located adjacent to restaurants. Staff was friendly and accommodating. One of the best hotels we've stayed in!

It was too early for us to want to eat breakfast and we just wanted to get to the airport, but it looked like it was available for those who would want it even at such an early hour. We were not at the hotel very long from 9:30 pm to 5:30 am the next day, since we just needed to get close to the airport for our early morning flight. The hotel worked great for this purpose.

The facility is close to the airport and has a shuttle that was really convenient. it also has a bunch of eating places next door, so is good for folks without a car. the reception desk folks were really helpful too - my daughter left her phone behind in the shuttle and they helped us trace it; plus were helpful with leaving luggage behind etc.

The light in the bathroom above the sink didn't work... The staff offered to change rooms for us but we chose to stay. The room offered wouldn't have been a king. We were already unpacked. The Staff was very nice.

There could have been more of a variety of items for breakfast. Only ate breakfast once.

On most nights we came in after 11:00pm and our keys wouldn’t work.

The park, sleep and fly offer which included breakfast was a good deal for $99 (park up to 8 nights). Because of covid breakfast was in a bag to go, but the menu included a hot egg and meat sandwhich.

The night time receptionist forgot to mention breakfast until I came back to ask, then she gave me the form to order my to go breakfast. She also did not really explain how parking worked until I ask. The next morning the receptionist did not have my order, so I had to wait. I think the night girl needs more training!

The breakfast was what I expected, nice assortment of things with some hot food items. The location was really good as we could walk to several restaurants. The room was surprisingly quiet for being so close to the airport.

there was no hairdryer in the room, but they quickly brought us one when we called.

I chose this hotel because the park and stay service was that my car could remain on site and was security patrolled. The second reason was it was a totally nonsmoking hotel.

The only things I did not like were the drapes did not fully close and the bath tub had some chips which was a little unsightly

The hotel was clean and well lit. when I arrived at 4am someone was there to greet and check me in. Frozen pizza, snacks, and drinks were available for purchase. My room was clean and spacious, including coffee maker, micro, and fridge.

I loved the bed. Super comfortable. I also like how there are actual shampoo and conditioner bottles instead of a 5-in-one bottle.

I liked everything mostly. All hotels are a bit off due to Covid. I won't let it affect my review though. I did have a problem with the window not being able to open though. It was a nice day and I wanted to feel the outside breeze.
