i stayed alone at this site bc the price was great and it was supposed to have 24 hour airport shuttle service, and it was super close to the airport and very close to convenience stores, mcdonalds and wendys. the bed was comfortable, and the sheets were soft and silky. the air conditioner worked perfectly. when i had to call the front desk bc i couldn't figure out how to get the tv working, she came up and set it up with a kind and friendly attitude!

i had spoken to the desk clerk (SUPER NICE, btw!) and the shuttle driver during my check-in regarding needing to go to the airport at 4 am, and the driver assured me he would be right there before that time..... BUT, when i went down at 3:45 am, the desk clerk (a different clerk, but equally SUPER NICE!!) said she hadn't yet seen the driver. she then attempted to call his phone multiple times, to no avail. so, by about 4:10, maybe, she said "i will lock up the office and drive you to the airport in my car( !!!), which was AWESOME!!!!! she was so kind! and she saved me from having to pay for a cab!!

Location close to the car rental drop off is good. Easy walk from Avis to the hotel.

Although on arrival the receptionist couldn’t find my booking she was very helpful and found me a room. There seems to be an issue with booking.com as this has happened before so don’t be surprised if you turn up and there’s no booking! Room was fine but the air con unit is very loud even at low speed. Guy who drove the courtesy bus needs a lesson in customer care too but he said he had had a bad night so maybe I’m doing him a disservice!

The only thing I would change is that they don't tell you that you have to have a $50 deposit when you arrive. Other than that, the staff was friendly, and the room was perfect for what I needed it for. I didn't have a eating utensil for my soup, and the front desk person searched until she found one for me. I will definitely stay here again.

Just the heads up about the $50 deposit. I'm sure it's in the paperwork, but I don't usually read every small print on my contracts. But just when making the reservations, to let people know.

Room was well-equipped with fridge, TV, iron, microwave. Bed was comfortable. We were able to control the heat/AC. Breakfast was basic, but we expected for the price. Room had accessible bathroom for wheelchair. The No cancelation fee was important because we weren’t sure whether we’d be staying in Detroit overnight, or if we’d make the last flight out.

The heater/AC was quite noisy. It would have been nice to have fresh fruit at breakfast.

From the time I put my car into park (in the convenient parking provided) to the time I had my bags in my room was less then 5 minutes. Receptionist went out of her way to be pleasant and helpful.

Only thing I can complain about (and it's more a mild observation then a complaint) Was the recliner in the room was in very rough shape. I was afraid to sit in it. All else was truly top shelf service, all the way!

The staff was so friendly and helpful and the rooms were cozy and clean! The shuttle was quick to arrive and got us right where we needed to go!

The building itself looks old and worn out. We could hear every car and airplane that would go by, and you could hear the people staying in the rooms around you, had to use the TV and bathroom fan to drown out the noise, other than that our stay there was excellent!

Everything was great... staff, room, and service.

The only bad experience was the shuttle driver accusing me of missing my drop-off point. He called for only American airlines and didn't include Spirit airlines. When he dropped people off at Delta, he saw I was still on. He then got irritated and yelled that I was stupid for not getting off earlier, putting him behind. I may not use this hotel again because of his attitude.

Great Value Cheap parking

I had to wait an hour for pickup from the airport. Driver was rude, he said he had to clean out his van from previous guests. He said they were coughing a lot. I was exhausted after an all day overnight international flight. I would consider paying and going to another hotel to avoid that agains.

Convenient location, very little traffic. I'm a pilot and I love aircraft -- so having big aircraft coming in right over my head at all times is just fine with me! Your results might vary. The noise was really no worse than the room air-conditioner.

The back door did NOT lock. You are always responsible for your own security, and I had no problem with that. Some guests might be intimidated by some of the other guests constantly hanging around the back door smoking. And the floor in the breakfast area was always sticky.

Friendly staff especially Frank

We were greated by the front desk associate named Frank. He was extremely pleasant and made us smile and feel like VIP customers. We arrived late so our room was not available and he was still able to work it out and got us another room that had a jacuzzi in it. It was an unexpected pleasant surprise for sure. All the staff were helpful and accommodating. Very clean property right next to the airport.
