surprisingly crowded, not enough places to sit during breakfast. one of the female staff members gave me a hard time for not opening the back door for her, which is accessible only if you have a key. At that time I didn’t know who she was and was uncomfortable opening the door for a random person. She made a very nasty comment to me when she had to use her key. The prior day I saw a homeless gentleman going through the garbage can located near this same door, I didn’t let him in either. I felt her rude comment was inappropriate. Doors are locked for a reason. I later saw her a the front desk so I know she was an employee.

Great location to family in nearby area and to Detroit attractions. The breakfast options were phenomenal - both hot and cold and healthy. The fitness center was well equipped and user friendly.

The room did not have a microwave. The in-room coffee maker was tiny. The back entry did not have automatic door access once the key card was used - this would have been most helpful for those of us who are older, traveling alone and needing to use the baggage cart upon arrival and departure. A streaming TV option would have been nice in place of cable.

Hotel was clean and comfortable with friendly staff. We found a few pretty good takeout places nearby.

I intentionally booked a more suburban hotel as this was my first visit to Detroit and I didn't know the neighborhoods and surrounding towns. Going anywhere required a lot of driving but maybe this is a Detroit thing generally. I would definitely consider staying somewhere more central next time.

The location was good. The room was comfortable and large with a small sofa/reading area. Breakfast was good.

The housekeeping schedule was confusing. We were told that due to covid they would clean the room every three days. We could request more if needed. They serviced the room the first morning which was fine but not expected. The housekeeping staff was great about swapping out towels when needed. On the third day, I asked the front desk if we were scheduled for cleaning, they said yes. The room was not cleaned. The next day we asked again to be on the schedule. This time the room was serviced.

Rooms were modern and large. The location is amazing, as it's right down Main Street in Royal Oak so walking distance to restaurants and bars for take-out. There is a playground half a block away from the hotel which is great if you are staying with kids. We also stayed here with our dog and it was super easy to take him in and out of the hotel for potty breaks.

The continental five star breakfast and the appearance of the breakfast area was superb! The size of our room accommodated our group of 5 perfectly. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived. We had about a 15 minute wait so it wasn't bad.

The staff was absolutely amazing! I only really spoke with the staff at night, but those gentlemen were amazing! They were always ontop of their game during service while also joking with us when we were at the bar seeing our relatives that live in town that came to visit!

The only issue i had was the 1 breakfast i was up early enough for, because I'm lactose intolerant, i was not able to have cereal with the egg and sausage meal. Adding almond milk or oat milk or non dairy cream cheese for bagels would be amazing for future, but the location put me close enough to eat elsewhere without it being an issue.

The room was PEFECT! I had an absolutely spectacular view of the sunset! I had a quiet space to study and the bed and pillows were so flipping comfortable, slept like a baby!

The inconvenience of having to walk around to the front of the building from the parking lot in order to check in, instead of being able to walk into the back door. But I understand.

Clean, kind and courteous staff, walking distance to various restaurants. Rooms are updated and well maintained. We were right by the elevator but never heard any foot traffic outside our door. It was nice and quite.

I loved the cleanliness. I also liked the ease of checking into the unit. Also, the staff was quite friendly.

Parking was a bit awkward but not too bad. I need breakfast to be extended a bit longer and more options for plant-based eaters.
