breakfast was good..but due to short staffing and a lot of guests...we would choose to eat elsewhere next time. ideal location / picturesque..would stay here again for sure...and actually plan on it......Spring Lake town itself had a nice selection of places to eat and to grocery shop......nice pool also

VERY dangerous entrance and exit onto main road... bugs an issue if window/door not totally closed....but minor

Beautiful location near to family and restaurants when needed. It also has extremely friendly staff which was important since we were there for a whirlwind trip to attend a funeral. Plus, the breakfast food was well-made. The pool and hot tub were clean and in good, working order.

The room setup and particularly the easy chair were a bit odd and uncomfortable. The lack of a real patio since we had a first floor room was also a bit disappointing. There were 2 chairs outside our patio door that were directly in front of parked cars in the parking lot, so they wouldn't have been worth using. I feel like travelers should be told this when they check in.

the charge for breakfast was very misleading. i had three adults and included breakfast in my trip through the web site i reserved. BUT the charge for breakfast was over and above the charge. misleading, i thought breakfast was included.

I requested a 1st floor room and was told through email that my request would be accommodated. When I arrived I was given a 3rd floor room. I'm assuming the rate for a 1st floor room is more expensive than a 3rd floor room. If that's the case, I'm a little disappointed.

We loved that the hotel was right on the water and the pool was great.

We were a little bummed that the hotel was supposed to have a buffet style breakfast on the weekend. But when we went to breakfast we were told that due to the amount of people in the hotel they weren’t doing it that day. So we had to drive around trying to find somewhere else.

I loved the clean facility and ease of getting around. The location is great and they have a shuttle that runs every hour on the hour to take you to town, beach, etc

The restaurant was understaffed and and they were turning people away. They need to either close down the restaurant because there's plenty of others in the area, or get the proper staffing and management.

People there were extremely friendly. Very clean and quiet. Central location to many attractions in the area.

$6.00 bottle of water!

location is about 10 minutes drive to downtown Grand Haven. There’s a marina that wraps around the outer parimeter of the property with great boat-watching. The outdoor Tiki Bar is awesome to sit and enjoy watching all the activities going on.

The hotel is very clean! The beds are extremely comfortable and the staff is very friendly. And the location is awesome. The hotel sits right by the lake and they offer fun activities for guests. The construction makes it a bit of a pain to get in and out, but that's not the hotels fault.

It's the only Holiday Inn Express that I've been to that doesn't offer a continental breakfast. They have a nice restaurant, but not ideal for business travelers. The location is great, so the hotel prices are are little higher which is understandable. At that price, a complimentary breakfast would be nice.

Great breakfast…truly amazing. Employees very kind and accommodating. Tiki bar was awesome. Games were provided on the lawn. Cornhole, ping pong, volleyball, chess, etc, in addition to indoor and outdoor pool facilities. Walking paths along the marina. Good place to ride bikes, if you have them with you. Room was roomy, great closet, comfy bed and pillows.

Hotel should have supplied extra toilet paper in room. (One roll on the spindle staying there 5 nights with 2 people, is not enough). Even hotels I stay in for $85 a night will have extra roll or two of toilet paper in the room. Had to request from front desk and get it from them. Same with fresh towels. There were two of us staying there and only two bath towels were left in the bathroom and then there was no service during the week because of Covid so we had to get our towels at the front desk. The tile floors in main lobby and all the way through to elevators and dining room, are extremely slick to walk on. (Even when totally dry).
