Hotel Indigo Traverse City, an IHG Hotel

Exceptional location and would be even better in the summer. Overlooks GT Bay West and is on the edge of downtown TC. It is a very nicely appointed hotel that I would stay again at if I had the choice.

I wished they dispense with the valet parking ($15/night extra) and allowed guests to self park. I appreciate the service but it appears that parking was under the hotel and it would have been very convenient to self-park. Also, the bay view rooms have a nice view of the bay (of course) but W Grandview Parkway is busy and there wasn't a great amount of noise insulation on the windows. If this bothers you (it didn't bother us) you have been pre-warned. Finally, we found the beds to not be super comfortable but this will also be an individual assessment.

Cons: 1. Only basic cable with HBO (for the price, there should be smart TVs with streaming services available). 2. The only parking available is Valet ($15/day) or meter street parking. Valet parking should be included in overall price of stay, not an additional charge. 4. For the high cost, a free continental breakfast should be included (yogurt, granola, fruit, pastry, coffee). 3. My entire floor smelled like “weed” for one day. There should be small “No Smoking” placards in every room.

I loved the location. We were able to walk anywhere. I loved the hotel itself and the bar, it was a super nice and clean room. The bar was nice and the front desk clerk was amazing when we checked in.

The bartender, steven, was an absolute jerk. Tried to ask him questions about the town and where to go. He was super short, never smiled and acted like we were bothering him by talking to him. When I asked if he had a problem, he said he doesn't drink so he doesn't know answers to our questions. All we were asking him was where he suggested we go after we ate. Also, the road noise was quite loud and for the price you pay for the room there should definitely be a fridge in the room.

Road Noise was terrible for rooms facing the bay. Can't turn the fan on low to help cancel noise. Felt like I since I used a third party booking don't have same options as booking directly with property

Comfy beds. Spacious room/bathroom. Amazing shower!!! Very friendly staff. Valet parking is quick (about 90seconds to retrieve your vehicle or things from your vehicle) we brought our bikes and rode all around town from the hotel. The bike path is across the street

The hotel is On the opposite side of a busy road than the bay. There is a loose manhole cover you can hear every car hit. And the road is all around bumpy and loud. Not really the hotels fault.

I absolutely LOVE this hotel ! The shower I think is just so cool :) I also love the view if you have a lake view! It’s absolutely beautiful

My only complaint this time was our alarm in the room went off at 5:59 am ! One of the biggest things I was excited for was to SLEEP IN and there was no going back to sleep after that :( I know It was just a mistake but I was very disappointed I couldn’t sleep in !

We got this room for an exceptional price. Had a bay view room and it was beautiful and comfortable. The location was amazing. We were able to walk all around town and then back to the hotel. The rooftop bar was wonderful. I loved the whole ambiance. We ate dinner up there from the downstairs restaurant. Food was wonderful as were the drinks.

It my have been me overlooking it on the website, but wasn’t a fan of the valet only parking. That was an extra cost of course. The bay view room we had was wonderful, however being on that side you could hear traffic noise. Although as the evening went on the traffic did slow down and not as many big trucks. I would love to stay at this property again, if i could find another great deal on rates. Was definitely out my normal price range. But a really nice place.

The location was great, and the view was great! Hotel was clean and comfortable. We loved the rooftop bar.

The restaurant is what they call “Amazon for hotel food” and you order off their menu digitally and they bring it to the table you are at. We went to submit the order 15 minutes before breakfast hours were over and it said they were no longer accepting orders which we did not know the cutoff was 15 minutes before. We ended up finding a cute diner anyways but that was a little annoying. For the price we were surprised there was no fridge in the room.

The room was very clean and spacious! The bathroom was fantastic with a huge walk in shower, made you feel like you were in a spa! Location was great, close to restaurants and shops! I wish our room had a refrigerator but everything else was available in the room.

There wasn't a mini fridge in the room. Hotel was a little high on the price end for the amenities provided.

Location, location, location. For the cherry festival you really cannot beat this location with a comfortable hotel. Get onto the patio (roof top) early for a good seat and order snacks until dark for the fireworks!

No hotel should build a wing on that makes rooms have a brick wall for a view. I understand not having a lake view, but a brick wall 8’ away? Really bummer for price. … that said, we weren’t in the room that much except to recover from heat.
