We loved absolutely everything! The location, the cleanliness of the rooms, halls, and the BEACH! We walked around the other beaches nearby and ours was the cleanest by far. The chairs and tables on the beach were excellent too, as well as the unlimited towels. Loved the toiletries supplied in the rooms, very good quality and variety, loved the little makeup wiping towel. The staff was so helpful and polite! Also, the access to hot water and coffee 24/7 was super helpful and we used it a lot, and the vending machines and ice machines were helpful as well! We loved purchasing Moomers ice cream and the variety of flavors/quality of ice cream was awesome. The hotel’s proximity to bus stops to Traverse City (10 minutes and FREE) was amazing, as well as to delicious restaurants within walking distance (Smoke and Porter was our favorite), the state park across the street, and the gift shop store a ten minute walk away.

The breakfast wasn’t great, as it was all prepackaged. Also, since the closest pharmacy was a 17 minute walk away we wished there had been some more pharmacy options available for purchase at the hotel

Best hotel we could’ve booked on the main road of Traverse City, among the row of the other big hotels right on the East Bay. I’ve been staying at all these hotels since I was a kid, and Baywatch has been the nicest so far due to the newly renovated facilities and the nice stretch of beach it has without recession. Perfect distance to downtown Traverse City as well as getting back on the road for when you leave; great room amenities with a big bathroom, big TV, and fridge for storing snacks; plus the balcony that let us watch right over the bay or keep the window open with a screen to hear the waves. Staff were incredibly nice and clearly active in upkeeping the hotel – will absolutely stay again next summer.

Water bottles in the room would’ve been appreciated at this price point.

it was gorgeous! Everyone was nice and welcoming! They checked on you via text message throughout your stay! You were able to select your breakfast each day and it would be delivered to your door. They had a coffee bar by the main lobby along with a coffee pot in your room. We enjoyed having a beach front view and balcony and sat there often and ate our breakfast there every morning. It was always quiet and peaceful, even with people on the beach. The beach is private for the resort only which makes it nice and not overcrowded. We will definitely stay again!

Our only complaint was the bed was too soft for us compared to our usual bed. But I won’t knock them for it!

So clean! Stellar communication from staff. Felt very welcomed and taken care of. They were so accommodating when my sister needed a room change. Manager stopped by in the hallway and asked us how we were doing. Just a wonderful place to stay if you're looking for a resort in TC.

Not a big deal, but it would have been nice if there had been more amenities in the common area. Perhaps the fantastic local Traverse City coffee versus Folgers. And some other juice choices instead of orange juice for their breakfast boxes. Just some suggestions, but again, these did not detract from our stay.

Location was good, nice view of the beach. We got the king with the spa tub and that worked great.

The breakfast was eh. At least they had a breakfast, I appreciate that, but the oranges they gave us were hard as a rock. You had a few options, either a microwave sandwich, microwave oatmeal packet, or hard boiled eggs and yogurt. They did give you an orange juice box with all options. So, better than nothing. We also had some ants in our room. Didn’t notice it the first night (although we didn’t get there until 11pm so maybe we just didn’t notice). The second night we found quite a few ants gathering in the bathroom.

Great location, very clean property, bed was very comfortable. All of the help except the fellow we talked to at the front desk we extremely nice and polite.

Room wasn’t ready when we got there after requesting an early checkin. One hour early was all we requested excuse was 4:00 is checkin time. It was 3:15 so only 45 minutes early. Room was not ready until 3:50 and then they forgot to call me to tell us it was ready. Had to ask at the desk again or we would have sat there for a while.

I was disappointed when upon arrival the desk clerk said she couldnt find our reservation and asked if we were sure we are at the right resort. She found our reservation after searching further only to discover that my first and last name were reversed incorrectly. I understand mistakes happen but she didnt apologize for the resorts mistake. Was sort of embarrassing as the lobby was full of people checking in.

Baywatch exceeded my expectations regarding cleanliness. Beautiful, calming, decor. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. Best private beach I have been to, in Michigan. The staff continued to communicate with me throughout my trip to ensure we were still enjoying ourselves. (Awesome touch) We loved the resort. Highly recommend!!!!!

The only downside is that there isn't a pool or a hot tub for rainy or cold days. It's definitely not a deal breaker for me, though. Absolutely loved the hotel.

The view was fabulous. The room appeared to be mostly clean and beautiful. Very beautifully decorated.

I wasn't happy when at midnight I got into the bed and found sand at the bottom of the sheets in the bed. Not acceptable. Everything else was perfect so this was very disappointing. I was very busy so i didn't even have time to report it. Breakfast was not very good either. Muffins or donuts would have been better than the frozen microwave sandwich. It was terrible.

AMAZING view of the Bay and Beach. I highly recommend getting a room with a view for this reason! The pre-packaged breakfast each morning was good and just the right amount - great idea!

I wished that I could’ve gotten a hot brewed coffee each morning. It would’ve been nice to have some in the lobby or our room but there was only an individual tea maker with tea available. I also wished that I could’ve gotten a cocktail or glass of wine to sit on the beach with and relax each evening. Although, they offered a full bottle of wine with glasses as a packaged deal to buy, a mini wet bar of some sort would’ve been great to purchase a drink from. There are many places off of the hotel property to get coffee and cocktails so that is what we did each day.
