GrandStay Inn & Suites of Luverne

Overall it was a very nice & convenient to stay overnight while traveling to Yellowstone. Upon arrival was a little mix up with out online reservation, as the desk clerk could not find it. However she was very polite & handled the mix up very professionally. She was able to give us accommodations & honored the rate as per the confirmation email. The rooms were nice & very clean. As it was just off the Interstate 90 there was not much around but conveniently across the road was a small bar/restaurant called The Howling Dog. The food was good & very affordable. They served breakfast which was good.

The computer mix up about our online reservation was a little disconcerting but it may not have been the fault of the hotel & the receptionist handled it well as I noted.

We liked that Luverne had a nice place for us to stay for the weekend.

The two items that needed attention were: The room air conditioning unit put out a stale/musty smell. We needed the air as it was hot during our stay. The breakfast was good but understaffed. We ran out of food and the tables were "syrup sticky: and full of crumbs because they were not maintained during the breakfast hours.

The hotel was very nice. It seemed it was updated. Our kids liked the pool. The breakfast was ok. There were limited food options.

Our room had a 2 ft crack in the ceiling that was patched up but still bulging. We were a little concerned that there would be a leak coming from above. Luckily nothing happened. I would recommend it get fixed before using that room again for guests.

The breakfast provided was ok but would have liked having more options- eggs, sausage.

No bath towels were in room only hand towels. We did not request any due to timing.

Everything was fine (except ... see next question). Good (warm) breakfast.

No ice machine (but reception provided ice on request), no ice compartment in fridge.

Location was conveniently right off the high way and the room was really nice and the place was clean. The breakfast was really good as far as grab and go breakfast, I would definitely recommend this place.

The pillows weren’t amazing and the lighting in the bathroom is very dim especially since there isn’t a light over the shower or exhaust fan. Other than that though it was quite nice!

room was great. comfy bed, easy access off interstate, Anne at the front desk was very helpful and recommended many nice places

when i checked in, i noticed a sign at the desk that said if paying with a debit card, double my reservation amount would be immediately charged to my account and after the stay, half of it would be refunded to my account in 7 to 10 business days. i was not happy but she was able to do it as a credit to my card so all was good

Super clean. Quiet. Excellent location with easy access to the highway. Comfortable beds and pillows. Both Front desk staff were professional and very kind. We travel this road often and will stay here in the future. Great price!!

It was very cold outside....but that wasn’t the the property’s fault.

These are trying times, especially while traveling in which you would hope others would be as conscientious of the situation as you are. Staff was friendly, one of the housekeeping staff without mask. That being said, our trip was 12 days and we were just passing through, so we came what you might say over-prepared with our own cleaning supplies, sleeping bags, and pillow cases.

As always .. very comfortable and clean! Best place to stay in Luverne!

Unfortunately my car was hit & run in the parking lot. Another vehicle had both front tires flattened. The hotel has no cameras viewing the parking lot so no way to tell who did it. Disappointing to have that happen. I have stayed here many times & have never had anything like this happen before tho.
