Best Western On the River

Location was within walking distance of Main St and Mark Twain historical sites we wanted to see. Hot breakfast was good. Would have preferred bacon to sausage, but that's just me. Pool was nice and warm and spa wasn't too hot. Plenty of towels available. Bed was comfortable. Able to adjust room temp by 1/2 degrees.

Don't think you can do anything about it, but train horn noise, especially during the night, was bothersome. Bring earplugs. Coffee was weak.

Check in and out was very fast and efficient. Friendly helpful staff. Rooms were very clean and fresh. I’ve traveled extensively for work and this hotel was very clean not just the rooms but the entire property inside and out. Breakfast was good dining area was very clean.

We loved it here will definitely only book here for all our Hannibal trips. We go several times a year and we are looking forward to our next trip for Christmas time.

Beautiful two queen bedroom Accessible on main floor and room was only a few steps from accesible entrance Full hot breakfast with many delicious breakfast items including biscuits, gray, waffle, bagles, eggs, sausage and hot beverages. Pool was very nice and So was the whirlpool spa along with the great exercise room. Best Western of Hannibal Missouri is right downtown and there are endless attractions and all within walking distance

Quiet other than kids in pool, clean, had elevator, liked the colors and furnishings in lobby. Overall fine

The breakfast was not good. Eggs were dry. Sausage wasn't browned. No bread only bagel or muffins toaster was warm but didn't toast them. Shredded Hash browns were dry and not good either. Lots of kids in the pool ,were really loud and playing so we didn't get in stayed in hot tub it was late we didnt want to go outside pool. But that was fine ,it was busy and they were young kids, under 12 , playing ,disappointed but no big deal.

We stayed in the newer building with the outside pool. Room was fine, though apparently the ones in the old block are more recently decorated. Staff were great and had quarters for the washing machine. Nice and handy for all the sights downtown.

We were put off by the smell of the chlorine in the old building from the indoor pool.

Great breakfast, very nice staff, clean room, very close to the historic downtown. I spent a very nice time there!

My room was on the first floor and the travelers above me woke up very early. Unfortunately, I could hear every move they made, so I was up early too. I would ask for a room on the top floor next time.

It was close to downtown, had a decent breakfast and had the amenities that we needed. Pretty clean as well.

Other reviews mentioned the chlorine smell. Yes, there's definitely a strong chlorine smell but it's because the pool is in the middle of the open space with the balconies to the rooms wrapping around it. So it's all open. Naturally, you're going to smell it. You get used to it though and it's not a big deal. See picture.

Loved the staff, the front desk clerk was amazing & super friendly. The location is within walking distance to the main strip. Everything was fresh & clean. The bed was super comfortable.

The pool area is in the lobby area and you could hear people talking & kids yelling. It was like they were right outside our door and we were on the third floor. That was the only thing that we didn't like.

Our view of the river from the 3rd floor of the auxiliary building was stunning. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated.

When we checked in, the person behind the desk was on the phone for some time to her boss complaining loudly about another patron. That seemed inappropriate. However, once she was off the phone and had calmed down, she was very nice, even upgrading our room for the lovely view. Breakfast offered many options and was well done.

Front desk was great. Indoor pool was a bonus and right by our rooms. Grab and go breakfast offered a great variety of choices. Great location and within walking distance to almost all attractions in Hannibal.

Overall, the hotel was great but the parking was a struggle. There are only a certain amount of spots by each side of the room and if you get there late, you have to park at the other building. The bathroom was a little smaller than we thought but shower was great. The fan in the bathroom as well as the air sounded rattled at times.
