I can only assume that the breakfast was part of the snacks we found in the room, because I could never find anything made available specifically for breakfast. We were there for two nights, but nothing was replenished for the second day. The location was excellent.

We always spend a full day in the room watching movies on the television, however it was difficult in our room because of the glare from the windows, which were only covered with sheer curtains.

The location was within walking distance of many of the places we wanted to see. The room was tidy & comfortable. The owner gracious. The bathroom spacious. The bed comfortable.

There are things that the owner can do nothing about, like the noisy patrons of the bar across the street, the loud trains blaring horns several times a night. It would be nice if the blinds could be fixed so that they can be moved at night to block the street lights. I miss not having a hot breakfast in the morning, but no great loss. There are at least two very handy breakfast restaurants not far. The yogurt made great snacks later in the day.

Mike was a great host. He was informative and friendly. The room was comfy and cozy and well decorated. The bathroom was spacious. The whirlpool tub didn't function well, but it's definitely not a deal breaker. The location is awesome. We appreciated the chance to stay there.

It was a pleasant experience and no complaints.

Housed in an historic building, the room was spacious, nicely decorated and clean. The attached bathroom was very large, with both a separate tub and shower. The proprietor, Mike, was very pleasant and gave great leads for local dining. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was cool, even in the midst of record heat. The Main Street B&B is in a fantastic location, very close to Mark Twain historic sites, as well as in proximity to a variety of dining establishments.

Light from the hallway shining through the glass panel in the beautiful vintage door to the room did make sleeping a bit difficult. As noted in other reviews, train horns sound regularly all night. Ear plugs were provided.

Excellent room, well appointed, very comfortable bed, extremely clean and everything was in order. Couldn't be happier with the service and the room!

Unfortunately, the first clue was the complimentary ear plugs on the pillow (as well as the chocolate). The proximity to a very noisy drinking establishment across the street meant that the revelry went on until 1:30 AM (including the street on which my room was located. Was unable to get any sleep even though this was a Tuesday night and I was told that it would have normally been very quiet on that week night (however, not on the weekends when it gets REALLY loud, according to a local patron of that establishment). Would I return to this B&B? Perhaps, but I would certainly use the earplugs and in addition to noise-cancelling earphones...

beautiful historical property tastefully decorated in Prairie style; including comfy bed and chairs and the tallest windows I’ve ever seen in a hotel; enjoyed the spa tub in modern bathroom and appreciated the mini fridge to hold leftovers from the amazing pizza place across the street.

our only criticism is the entry lobby was dusty and rather unwelcoming; it also smelled strongly of cigarettes; since the heavily trafficked railroad tracks are VERY close, our host thoughtfully provided earplugs to mitigate the racket but light sleepers may have difficulty sleeping through the night.

Mike added homemade pumpkin bread to our breakfast basket and it was great. We also had the pleasure of meeting his wife, who works in the museum across the street, and they are a lovely couple. The jacuzzi tub was very relaxing!

Not the hosts fault, but the street is extremely busy on weekends. The bars are open late, and they have many boisterous patrons. Mike was kind enough to provide ear plugs, but I suggest bringing a sleep aide as well.

Private bed and breakfast - left snacks and drinks. Right in the middle of town close to most things we walked. Pleasant owners offered to help carry our bags up the steps - since their is no elevator. Nice old building, old style furniture, with up to date items too! Very comfortable bed.

Parking was not the greatest if you wanted to be close to the building since you had to park on the street, but we just drove around or went and did something else until a close spot opened up. Train horns really didn't bother me, but customers from the nearby bars I could hear alot more. But again the owners offered earplugs -- so they did think of everything to make it comfortable for you.

The bed and breakfast is right downtown. Plenty of places to walk to from shopping to restaurants to site seeing. The breakfast is not fancy but was good. The place decor was awesome. The owner meets you when you arrive and gives you history about the place.

The light in the hallway at night.
