Sonesta Select Kansas City South Overland Park

Great location, pretty spacious hotel. The room was clean. Even though the hotel was PACKED for a family reunion, it was fairly quiet. The staff were pretty friendly and helpful. Overall we had a great experience.

The only thing we really didn't care for was not the fault of the hotel at all. There were multiple events happening at the hotel the weekend we were there. There were so many unattended kids running all around the hotel we got run into multiple times...again this was no fault of the actual hotel, just frustrating to have to deal with.

From the moment I walked in the lobby the customer service rep was a delight. She made several recommendations for dining that were within close proximity and had ample parking b c we were towing a car with a U-Haul. She gave us great directions on where to park our moving truck etc. AND THEN the room was beyond expectations for the price. We stayed in more expensive hotels that were disgusting. I wish we could’ve stayed longer !

Not a thing. We stayed at so many raunchy places this property seemed like the Taj Mahal!

The property was extremely clean with exceptionally kept rooms and bathroom outstanding! Beautiful room and facility overall was impeccable all around from check-in to departure. Very friendly staff member that checked us in as well.

I did not appreciate the extra deposit of $100 for each room my wife and I payed to stay. There was no disclaimer warning us that each room had a extra $100 deposit on top of the room the 2 rooms we booked to stay for us and our 2 older boys to have their own room. We travelled late, so by the late arrival at around 12:30am-1:00am we were stuck with the unexpected cost. Luckily we had the funds to cover it. It should have been brought to our attention when we booked. What happened to complimentary breakfast?! It was a bit much to pay the room fees and deposit fees and then have to pay for breakfast too. Talk about nickel and dime people. Give the humble travelers a break, will ya?

The fact that they let us check in a little early. We had traveled all day and were ready to crash. The lobby was beautiful. The rooms were nice. Loved the balcony feature

There was hair all over the sheets. The pool itself was heated and great. The room the pool was in, was not. My daughter had steam coming off of her standing at the poolside. I didn't swim and it was miserable for me to sit there and watch her swim, so cold. It was 13 outside. That room needs a little heat

The outside was clean the night shift staff was very nice and friendly

Didn’t like that a hundred dollar deposit wasn’t mentioned in the information before you got to the hotel so that was not cool the morning staff didn’t even speak when you said hello or good morning their was trash behind the dresser in the rooms didn’t like that there wasn’t a microwave in the room didn’t like going downstairs to heat up food

The rooms were nice, although not completely clean (I have quite high cleanliness standards). The Lobby area was very useful for our group, as we could congregate there to eat and visit. The hotel was really quiet, which we appreciated. The staff went above and beyond to take care of our needs, and they were all very friendly and helpful

The option of paying for breakfast was not great, but we appreciated the coffee, the tables and space to eat our self-supplied breakfast.

Like the size of the rooms, location and staff are always pleasant & accommodating.

There was glitter confetti on the carpet & sofa which to me means one thing, someone didn’t use a vacuum when cleaning up. Found a dime on the floor, someone’s phone cord and other items behind the furniture.

front desk personnels were amazing. my room was super clean and ready for my arrival. pool super clean and warm. overall my stay was okay, beside a few discrepancies. i will definitely consider staying there next time in travel to kansas

Loud music playing at all hours of the night and day. extensive smell of cannabis around the hallway and some rooms and outside in the parking lot. some trash around some rooms and ice machine areas.

Convention in town and a bunch of kids were running around the hotel all day and night very loudly. Not the hotel's fault at all and they helped when people complained and tried to do what they could. Wish there was a hot tub.

the cleaneess of the room and gow it had balcony. How it also had a gym and a pool. I liked how there was outdoor seating as well.

I didn't like that we had to pay 10 bucks per person for breakfast. Also I would have liked to check into my hotel at 11 or 12 instead of 1 but that was okay.
