Bluebird Sunapee

Game room was fun, beautiful rec room, pool looked lovely, records to play in the lounge, beds very comfy, everything is new and very clean, good coffee, no wasteful little shampoo bottles, and no wasteful plastic cups in the room! Real glasses to drink water from!

No breakfast!! Coffee was available though. For the price there should have been something, and when I booked it, it said breakfast! The decor in the room was nice, but not overly cozy, a little sparse, lighting harsh, a mix of rustic / industrial. The shower stall design was completely impractical because you couldn’t turn on water or adjust the temp without being IN the shower. And they definitely need to move the “kitchen” (fridge and microwave) out of the closet. “Gourmet” vending machines were out of order.

We were the first guests after a beautifully done renovation. The room was spacious and clean and was equipped with everything that we needed. The hotel is located at the base of Mt. Sunapee ski resort between Newbury harbor and Sunapee harbor. It is within walking distance to the public beach. The Salthill pub located next to the hotel and Bubba's located across from Newbury harbor were both excellent for dining. We took a narrated cruise on the MV Mt. Sunapee and explored all the shops at Sunapee harbor. This was a beautiful area for a weekend getaway to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We can't say enough good about the staff, they were all courteous, friendly and eager to help with whatever we needed. Thank you all for a fantastic weekend!!

We get here and like always greeted with a smile order the room on booking.com they made it easy like always If you're in the Plymouth New Hampshire area this is the place to go I see some of the comments and does not make any sense why there would be anything negative about this place everything from the ownership to the management I have been staying here every other weekend for a long time now

There's not one thing that I did not like

loved that the aesthetic didn’t feel like a business hotel. genuine warmth and caring from the staff. simple place not trying to be fancy, with many sweet extras (board games, books, record players, tea/coffee area). comfortable beds, quiet rooms, fun pool area.

All the necessary amenities. Close to key resorts and locations. The Irish restaurant next door is really really good. The pool is clean and great for kids. Goes to 5 feet. Pet friendly rooms with tile floors. Make sure you have a decent crate for your pet. Plenty of room for large pets. Friendly hardworking staff!

Mattresses needed to be updated in some rooms. The hotel is getting upgrades so anyone who stays here will have an excellent stay. No more waffle maker at breakfast due to Covid…that breakfast room will be upgraded also.

I liked the decor and public seating areas. The vintage record player and albums in the common area was really cool!

I did not like being woken up by a whining dog at 6:00 am. The way I interpreted the pet policy was that dogs were allowed on the first floor. I stayed on the third floor.

Warm and inviting. Staff was attentive. Ski lodge atmosphere. Fun, creative. The coffee and tea bar was a morning delight. Excellent. Oversized pillows and a bed that was like a cloud. A good night's sleep.

This is a tough one. Can't think of anything. All good.

I truly appreciated that the housekeeping staff taking care of our room each evening (i.e. - new towels and making our bed). Other hotels we have staying at do not. Your staff is always happy to help.

The staff were exceptional, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were clean and welcoming.

As a single woman traveling, I had a room downstairs at the end of a hall past dark locker rooms, I found that a little worrisome, but otherwise, was very pleasant

Staff was very outgoing and helpful. Everything else met my expectations. Location was very close to everything around both Lake and Mount Sunapee. Nice quaint villages and beautiful lake.

Beds were a little tired and mattress weak. Room cleaning was on hold due to Covid and staff shortage, but it was made clear to us upon arrival and were told to just come to the front desk for extra towels and place trash and towels outside the door as needed.
