toilet seat broke in two pieces the night we checked in. spoke twice to front desk. because of the holiday weekend I understand that maintenance was not readily available but other than that no problems

Just few minutes walk away to the both path (WTC and 33nd street for Manhattan). The view of Manhattan from Jersey City absolutely amazing. The room was very large and clean. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Car park in front of the hotel is very convenient and price are good compare to most of car park in NY.

We can hear the other rooms around, people taking shower, talking, etc... maybe we wasn't lucky and had noisy neighbors. Price is a bit high, a bit more expensive than the 4 stars hotel close by. We keep the reservation anyway because the room was a bit largest than the other hotel. We had a good time :)

It had a kitchen which was useful and the faculty were friendly & welcoming.

Sonesta suites We stayed at this place for 32 nights starting June 3rd. From the time we checked in, to the day of our departure, every member of staff, we interacted with, were gracious, helpful and very friendly. We were checked in by Joneal, and she was extremely pleasant. We loved her friendliness and eagerness to always help. My wife and I keep talking about her wonderful smile while greeting us, on every occasion we approached her for help. Lorenzo, the operations manager went out of his way to support our needs. On the second day of our stay, we needed some extra dinnerware and cutlery, and rather than ask housekeeping he personally went and got it for us. During our stay we approached him on many occasions and were always greeted with wonderful friendly gestures and a willingness to make a difference to our stay. When I found out that Booking.com had made an error with our room rate that led to additional charges on our credit card, Lorenzo spent days correcting the error and made sure the refund was made prior to our check out. He did this without waiting for an acknowledgement from the third party vendor, thereby expediting the refund for us. When we needed to extend our stay by two more nights, Samantha, Director of sales was more than happy to help us, and even agreed to give us our existing rate in spite of the fact that the prevailing rate was twice that amount. Her friendly approach nudged us to ask her to give us a good rate for our return trip to the area, and she gladly obliged. We loved Sonesta suite so much that we cancelled our upcoming trip reservation at an Airbnb in the city, to Sonesta suites in Jersey city. All in all, a wonderful place to stay with an absolutely superb staff. We will keep on coming back.

The upgrading work created some noise and the laundry facility was closed during the last two weeks of our stay

The room was comfortable and I liked having a kitchen. The staff was very nice.

The first room they put us in, was next to someone who was being very noisy, but they moved us right away and took care of it. They even comped us for our first night.

Nice location with many restaurants in the vicinity. There is a PATH station close by which will take you to the NYC downtown. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is very helpful. The kitchenette is aptly equipped and the facilities like gym and laundry are also helpful.

Rooms need update and nobody came to clean our room for the day.

We were in a family studio suitable for 4. Decent size of living room and bedroom, nice bathroom with bathtub and shower. Comfy double bed and (surprise!) sofa bed. Kitchenette with all needed utensils (with an option to borrow missing items from the reception). Good value for money, considering NYC conditions. Nice, quiet and modern surroundings, with some shops (like CVS) and food places around. Easy walk access to a local train (LightRail) and to transfer options to NYC - PATH/rail or ferry. Ca 20 min. total transfer time to lower Manhattan/WTC, or 30-40 min. to 33rd St., both with the extra bonus of wonderful Manhattan panorama. Overall, good place to stay in a friendly and quiet environment, yet be able to discover NYC/Manhattan attractions. During our stay the reception was relocated to a side entry to allow major ground floor redecoration. Hotel was honest about these works and inconvenience, we received a message with warning and explanations.

Hotel:Adequate self catering apartment. Has microwave, stove and dishwasher. There were electric kettles and other electric appliances which you can borrow. Free guest laundry, lots of machines available. Near lightrail which can be noisy. Some plumbing and drainage issues which another reviewer brought up too. Huge Newport mall and Shoprite supermarket about 10-15 mins walk away. Mini convenience store onsite. Staff were warm, welcoming and very hospitable. :) Transport:Near PATH Exchange place which will bring you to World Trade Centre in Manhattan. Shortwalk along the Hudson River.From there you can connect to subways.

Noise from the lightrail if you stay in odd number rooms.

Newly renovated, clean, great value room just across the river from Manhattan. The 30-minute walk and $3 train ride was definitely worth the savings from hotels in Manhattan. The rooms were more like a one bedroom apartment, very new, modern and clean. It was four blocks from the PATH train that had 5 stops and ended on 33rd St in Manhattan. Grocery store within walking distance to stock the large kitchen for breakfast before you head out for the day.

$25/night parking fee, but that is probably cheap and standard for locations that close to the city. Main lobby and fitness room unavailable due to renovations, but we really didn't care about that. Remember to take your key card when you finally leave because you need it to exit the parking area. A few of us made that mistake. Haha. Pull out couch as the second bed was a little uncomfortable, but brand new. It will definitely get worse the older it gets. Be aware of this. The hotel should have a thick mattress cover available to put on rather than just the bedsheet.
