Comfort Inn Binghamton I-81

A marvelous place to stay in the Binghamton area without the crime and fear associated with the city. Great room, comfortable bed, quiet. The front desk staff is helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. The elevators are quick and efficient and the included continental breakfast is fresh and tasty.

The single drawback: the curtains could've had a thicker barrier to block out the two klieg lights illuminating the parking lot and seemingly pointed directly at the room. Perhaps eyebrows could be added to the lights to reduce their impingement on the rooms.

The breakfast was amazing. Everything was fresh and at arms reach. The pool was really clean. The staff were friendly and approachable. The guests greeted each other with smiles. When I checked in I was told that the price I paid was to high and the change was made to reflex a lower price upon my arrival.

At first I didn't like the fact that the sink was in the bedroom. My partner explained to me that everything like the toilet tub and sink should not all be on the same water line. Its to reduce backups and stress on the pipes.

Front desk reception person was particularly extraordinary. I've worked this area and have a degree in hospitality and he far exceeded what I would expect! Thank you, I wish I could tell you his name. He just moved from Virginia. He deserves to know how he's affecting people. The person at the desk before us acted as he felt the very same way! The breakfast server/preparer was also extraordinary. She was cheery, conversed a little, cleared some dishes and just very much like a host!

The bathroom in the room had a urine smell to it but other than that, it was great!

The location was good.. right off the highway and not too far from Vestal. The bed was very comfortable.

The staff definitely needs training!!! The young lady that checked us in was swearing and cursing about the company right in front of us. The cleaning ladies were cursing and complaining about how many rooms they had to clean and all the 12pm check outs they had to deal with. The young lady at check out was on a personal call on her cell phone cursing about something. My wife stood at the front desk for a few minutes before she even got up and acknowledged her. Then had an attitude as if we were bothering her. The staff needs training on customer service or upper management need to have a sit down with the staff because clearly they're not happy or do not care about their jobs.

Near highway. Good breakfast.

Small room. Wash basin in room, instead of in washroom. No separate facility for getting drinking water. Reception staff asked for credit card even though it was pre-paid. And took it physically instead of asking to tap or insert it into a machine, which is a security concern since the CVV may be exposed.

as soon as we got there we were greeted by the friendly staff they were very welcoming. we stayed for three nights and everyday they had a hot breakfast which was very good! our room was clean and well taken care of. I have family that lives in the area so when we come in to town a couple times during the year we stay here every time cause I know they will take care of us.

good size room and affordable with good location.

was during power outage in the area and they raised rates accordingly when others needed a place to stay in hard times. the front end manager even said do and was unprofessional at stating the room prices are higher and if they don’t like it they can go somewhere else as I can book the rooms easily and have turned many away. we were only able to stay for one night as they had them booked for the next couple nights.

One problem that I forgot to mention when I checked out was our shower was very slippery in the tub. Twice I slipped while taking a shower. It could have been worse if I was older or not as stable on my feet.

You really need to do something about the bottom of the tub.

24 hour coffee bar

we were told breakfast was until 10 when we checked in… arrived just before 9 as the breakfast room was closing up. luckily there was still waffles and 2 sausage links left. other chafing dishes were empty. we were informed by staff that we were told wrong by the front desk, and breakfast is til 10 only on weekends, and til 9 on mondays.

The manager Martin was incredibly friendly, helpful and funny. It is great to have a warm welcome. When I needed to print, he helped gladly. Thank you!

The edges of the place looked really worn. My room near the elevator was a little loud and make sure you draw the drapes, the lights outside make sure our cars are safe, but bring a lot of light into the room.
