Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, large, clean shower, good tv, quiet fridge, 2 spacious and immaculate elevators.
unfortunately the flooring in our room was damaged and needs repair - uneven and coming apart. I also don’t understand why Booking lists the room size as 330 sq ft- not even close! All the rooms are small, in typical NYC fashion. And “superior” just means you’re not in the basement.

Building is new, rooms were clean, Reception guy was very helpful in guiding us for planning our 2 days stay in NY. Although parking lot is small (and extra charge) but we got a spot at check-in. You can also park in the street. Hotel location is near to many food options. Metro station is 5min walk, from there you can access directly to all major attractions in Manhattan by Train (Line "R").
Breakfast area is very small and often congested. Breakfast options are also very limited. There is no microwave in the room (however there is one available beside reception where you can warm your food)

The hotel itself is not to far from the action and close to a subway station, clean, secure and provides stable WiFi. For NY standards the room was pretty spacious if you don’t have a lot of luggage, with a good bed and bathroom, daily cleaning and the coffee maker was a nice and appreciated extra. I read a lot of negative reviews about the breakfast, well it’s definitely not the most extensive one I’ve ever had but not to bad for an American one: there’s a little bit of everything and it does the job. And nowadays there are 10+ tables in the breakfast areas and in six days (ok, it was January) at different hours I did not have to wait a single time. So overall and definitely NYC price wise I think it’s a good deal!
The room doors slam and make a lot of noise, actually woke me up a couple of times. And it’s a budget place and some other guests unfortunately really behaved like that: several times - including in the middle of the night - people were shouting at each other, littering around etcetera. Of course can’t blaim the hotel for that but it was pretty annoying.

Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Good location for what we needed. Parking out back, which made my daughter feel safer. Well lit and very clean facilities. Overall a satisfying experience.
Rooms were too small. We had to crab walk between the beds and desk and if you opened the bureau doors, you had to step out of the way as there was no room with the bed right there. Also, parking should either free, length of stay based or less that $35/day. I stayed a week and it was an extra $150, which is a high cost for an area with ample parking.

The entire property appeared very clean and tidy. My room had a mini fridge which came in handy. For breakfast, eggs and a meat option were offered, I usually stuck to cereal or toast. for breakfast. Juice provided via machine dispenser, Coffee dispensers refilled promptly. Regular and Decaf.
The Desk/chair set up in the room was extremely tight. due to the room being a double Queen there was little room for moving the chair while seated at the desk. There was no other place to sit other than the desk chair in the room. The desk chair was a large comfortable office type chair, but not situated for reading.

property was clean and in an area with a lot of things around to do and subway was close by
to sum it up the check in process was pretty terrible. I was charged way more than I thought I would be, extra fees were added last minute that I had no knowledge of and the lady who checked us in didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing she would tell me one amount then 5 mins say another we stayed at the exact same hotel in nj and had 0 issues. I know each location is different and has its own set of rules but certain things should be disclosed to the customer before check in and alot of it wasn’t

The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had an early flight, so they stored our luggage until check-in without charging. We also were allowed to check in early due to the room being ready and available. The hotel was in a safe location, walking distance to the subway and various restaurants. The rooms were clean, so that was important for us.
The rooms were small, but my family made it work. The bread was molded at breakfast, but they removed the loaf once we notified the staff.

The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was basic but with enough options. It was relatively quiet despite its proximity to the expressway. I could hear the traffic at night but it wasn't super disruptive. A few guests slamming doors and being loud were more annoying than the expressway itself. The staff was nice and attentive, including the manager. The subway station is about 5 minutes away.
Breakfast options were a bit too sugary. Some noise from the expressway leaked into the room.

I had stayed up late researching hotels on Booking.com wondering where I could find somewhere seemingly safe for my cousin and I to stay in NYC. I'm glad I did, because this place was safe and at an extremely convenient location to the subway station. To sum up, location and safety were great and I would highly recommend this place!
I didn't realize that we would be on the cellar(?) floor, so we only had a minimal view, which was fine, since we only stayed there to sleep. If you're wanting to make sure you have a "room with a view", make sure that's what you book, I suppose?
