Embassy Suites Syracuse

The hotel is very nicely designed. The rooms are laid of very well. I really enjoy the Embassy Suites nightly receptions and signature breakfasts. The public area was well designed with many seating options, and the little rooms that were made with a full table, a tv, and seats were great for families. Your breakfast guy Joe is a gem and was fantastic very helpful.

This particular Embassy Suites has enacted some strict rules such as the need to reserve time in the pool. This did not provide a better pool experience it caused pool crowding and rude behaviors by other guests who were not managed. Posted pool rules were not enforced. For $200 plus a night, it should not be restricted from the use of amenities included in that fee. The nightly reception was more limited than others I have stayed at they provided crackers, cheese, and pepperoni. The Saratoga Hotel provides appetizers like wings and mozzarella sticks. We ordered food, and the chef had limited abilities, so it restricted what was available. The pizza we ordered seemed to have bad cheese.

I thought the hotel was very clean and modern looking. The rooms were a good size. I absolutely lovedddd the complimentary happy hour drinks and included breakfasts with our stay! That was a surprise to us so it made it even better!

We had a kind bed suite with a sofa bed and had every plan to use it however the sofa bed mattress was so springy it was unable to be used so we had to have our kids sleep on the couch itself which is also not very comfortable. The extra “blankets” provided were also terrible! So scratchy and itchy. The king bed was comfortable however and those pillows and blankets were decently sofa.

Very nice room, comfortable bedding. I like how the rooms face out to the lobby area etc . Free breakfast is great. Snacks could be way better for the evening happy hour. Wish there was a restaurant in the hotel

No clean towels when I checked into my room; no one answered my calls to get new ones. Had to go to front desk to get towels and never got any more during my stay (two nights and three days). Housekeeping does not come to room to clean during your stay .

breakfast was very good. room - bedroom was nice. bathroom ok. very nice interior when you walk in.

the reason why i book there is for the breakfast and the managers reception. the breakfast was very good. the managers reception left something to be desired. for 'lite snacks' there was only cheese and crackers and pepperoni(?). it was left for almost a half hour without replenishment which means 25 % of the time there was nothing. also, there were a lot of people hanging around the bar which made it difficult to get a drink. sounds picky but after a 5 plus hour drive to get there i was really looking forward to it (and i paid for it).

As a hospitality professional, a sticking point of mine is that if you offer breakfast, the guest that comes down at 1020am should have the same experience as the guest who comes down at 730am. We went down towards the end of service, and the breakfast room was full of empty platters and chaffing dishes. Very disappointing.

the rules that were imposed since we were there since October over the use of the pool!! i understand that you need to make a time slot appointment made one for the day we checked in but and I say but not allowed to swim the next day in the am before check out!! very rude at the front desk when we questioned and noticed no one using the pool! would have liked to know about the New rules before booking

The aesthetics of the property was excellent the breakfast was top-notch

having a room on the same side as the interstate was rough but I was able to get some sleep I had my daughter with me so we had to use the pull out sofa and there was no bedding so I had to go down to the office and get some bedding and make the bed And my daughter was complaining that the mattress was poking her all night because it wasn’t very thick

The staff was friendly and helpful. There was an unexpected Managers reception with free hors d'oeuvre and select beer and wine. The room had plenty of space. I enjoyed the sitting room outside bedroom.

The led lights in the bathroom pulsated and was very annoying. The hallways were tight when moving luggage past housekeeping carts.

The folks at check in were very nice. The hotel was updated and so nice! The chefs during breakfast were so hospitable and went out of their way to make our breakfast delicious. Lots of places to hang out outside of your hotel room - little pods downstairs with games and tvs which were a nice touch.

At first I was a bit taken aback because the website didn't mention pool out of commission and I messaged them several times with questions and no response, but the service, the cleanliness, the breakfast, it was like being at a resort. It was AMAZING! THANK YOU! 😊
