SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fishkill

It was an enjoyable stay. Good breakfast especially the waffles. And if I could have taken the complete bed home with me, I would have. Exceptional mattress.

The waffles weren't on the menu every day. LOL

Breakfast was pretty good though I wish it had extended til 10 or 10:30am (instead of ending at 9:30am). The room was VERY comfortable and well laid out - with a study area and living room sitting area that felt separate despite being in the same room. The bathroom and walk in closet were nice and big. The beds were comfy, and everything was very clean. The staff was very helpful and nice.

Wish the surroundings weren't so generic and mall parking lot-like (although this also meant there was a movie theatre 4 mins drive away and so we went and watched a movie!). Also the rooms weren't very sound proof. I could hear the guest above me walking around at some point, but even more disruptive was hearing noise from the hallways - doors opening and closing were quite audible!

Nice staff, large rooms, even larger beds, a nice indoor swimming pool, great breakfast. This is a great place with everything you need for a short stay. There is no restaurant but you can buy some food items in a little shopette.

The hotel is located within a business area with several hotels and supermarkets. There are no restaurants or anything you could reach walking, so you need to use the car everytime you leave the premises.

Breakfast was very good. Building was beautiful. Beds comfortable.

Receptionist replied to my questions but was not exceptionally helpful. No list or map of orientation to facilities: location of food, pool, coffee what else was there. No guide to restaurants in the area. Could not turn on floor lamp. Receptionist offered someone to come to room but my wife was asleep so I declined.

Beautiful hotel. Clean. Pleasant staff. We had a good view.

A little hard to find you had to do a little zigzaging to get to the hotel. This seems to be a new continually thing now. It was extremely harm to get a hold of a real person. The recordings never end. If you're in a hurry, you will never get to talk to a person.

Everything! The staff was friendly and everything was beautiful. For the price - it was just WOW! Spacious, modern and the temperature was steady the entire night. Some rooms we stayed in previously got very chilly overnight. This room was great. The bed was firm and the pillows were fluffy and firm. They provided an alarm clock which was beneficial. Definitely woke us up! Lol The shower had jets - made taking a shower fun. Loved the desk area. It had a desk lamp and a sliding door to dilute the light shining on the bed.

The shower door didn't keep the water in. No bath mat - so there was puddle outside the shower. Shower head could've been cleaner - I had to clean it myself.

Staff was very nice. ESPECIALLY the African American gentleman serving breakfast in the mornings. A wonderfully courteous guy, who went behind his basic responsibilities to be friendly, funny and extra helpful. A super star.

Perfect in every way

Liked the lobby, breakfast area, fitness and pool and the layout of the rooms. The angles of the doors to the rooms made the hallway noise nonexistant. The room layout and design was lively. The staff were great and answered any questions easily. Staff always had a smile. The parking lot is great as well.

We found it hard to get into the hotel, we had GPS which made it easier. We could see the hotel but found the route to the hotel parking lot difficult. Directional signage along the street once you turn off the main street would make it much easier.

Great breakfast! Everything was clean and hot. Nice eating area too.

The only thing I didn’t like was, being a pet friendly place ,someone had their dog on the steps in the pool!! I really don’t think that should be allowed.

The rooms are spacious and clean. We stayed on the first floor so I was worried we would hear noise from people coming into the hotel, but the rooms were so quiet! The breakfast was great! They actually had REAL food. The eggs were good.The pancakes were already made, didn’t have to pour your own batter into a machine. Lots of choices. We’ve tried out different hotels in the area while visiting our daughters at college and this was by far the most pleasant. I cancelled an existing reservation at another hotel for our next visit and booked Springhill Suites again!
