Main house looked very quaint. We stayed in The Cooks Cottage. Parking was not an issue.
Whilst it was nice to stay somewhere with a ‘rustic’ feel, The Cooks Cottage needed some attention and did not look as though it had been cleaned immediately before our arrival. There were cobwebs on the lamps in the main bedroom and the curtain pole came apart when trying to draw the curtains. We found two live bugs in one of the beds in the other room before going to sleep. Linen in the rooms was clean however as were the towels and the bathroom and all the beds were very comfortable which made for a good nights sleep. The shower however was quite difficult to figure out how to use and instructions upon arrival would have been helpful. Coffee making facilities were good. We did not make use of the kitchen facilities apart from that. Whilst the owner was friendly enough upon arrival, when we discovered we had developed a slow puncture to our hire vehicle overnight, it was disappointing that the reaction was less than helpful.

it was available during a busy move in week for cornell.
it wasn’t welcoming. the lights were all turned off when we checked in. the bathroom trash was full upon check in. the room was hot and with no a/c when we walked in.

Location & property is beautiful. My dog was allowed.
The cottage was horrible. Very disappointing. My son saw a rat so 3 of us were moved to a room in the main house which was nice. 3 of us had to stay in the cottage since he could not accommodate all of us. It was disgusting. No restaurant on the property!
