Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Middletown - Goshen, an IHG Hotel

Comfortable beds, roomy bathroom, liked the dove products. Staff brought up bedding fast for the pull out couch. Nice tv in the room.

When I called to ask if they had ice cream in the store at the front counter, they told me to come down and look, they were too busy, instead of just taking 10 seconds to look at the clear glass freezer 5 feet away 🤦🏼‍♀️. Also it has the smallest indoor pool I have ever seen in a commercial or residential area. A square pool, maybe 25 x 25 in an incredibly loud echoing enclosure. 10 kids in the pool and you will need ear plugs. That said, it was perfectly warm and pleasant water. Nightstand USB ports broken & shower head needs a major descaling/debunking in rm 218.

Located right next door to a QuickChek which offered a quick bite to eat if you didn't want to drive a short distance for a meal. Breakfast selection was good, but area needs to be monitored more for clean up around tables and coffee area.

Request of early check in was not considered and then I was misunderstood when I indicated that we would take whatever room first became available - even if it was on the first floor. The 'hostess' interpreted my statement as if we would only take a first floor room. When someone else checked in ahead of me between 2-2:30, I was asked if I tried to check in earlier. Frustrating!

This is a brand new facility and the staff is excellent. The breakfast selections were numerous and everything was delicious. The pool looked inviting, but we didn't have an opportunity to try it out.

The room has some high tech features that need attention. NOT a criticism but just being honest that things like the motor driven shades need to be adjusted so they work as intended. Everything that we found that needed to be addressed, we shared with the management, who wrote everything down and I know they will address. The feeling you get when you stay here is that it is run by people who want it to be first class. We will be staying at this hotel again, I'm sure.

The breakfast of sausage patties and scrambled eggs along with muffins, toast, cereal and some sweets was very good. A little more variety in meats would be nice, The staff was very nice and Lisa (desk clerk) that checked me in was very accommodating, answered questions about the area and was very friendly! Excellent Job Lisa. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet.

I would have liked to see a variety of choices when it comes to breakfast foods or have them change up every other day. Many of the IHG properties that I have stayed in do this, but it is understandable in todays climate.

Great room with huge window which was pleasant for our working trip. Good breakfast and friendly front desk. Located close to gas, restaurants so really easy for travelers.

$40 for my small dog seems excessive but I understand. I wish hotels came up with a system for “frequently traveled pets” because my dog is perfectly trained/ clean and sleeps on her own bed or in her portable crate. I totally understand why they have to charge I just wish the system could be updated- as more and more People travel with pets and don’t want to stay in motels I feel it could be re evaluated.

Breafast was great!

The tub diverter was broken not allowing all water to the shower head. My family was double charged for my one night stay. Staff did not know what to do to handle a billing situation. The manager was too busy at that moment to help the customer, me! The billing issue is still going on. I have the receipt and bank statement. I will re-think staying at your hotel in the future.

Location very convenient, right off the highway and near the local hospital. Rooms were absolutely excellent - spacious, comfy and clean with a sizable bathroom. Common area was clean with self-serve coffee and hot tea available upon arrival. Hotel area was safe with fully-stocked gas station/convenience store next door.

3 day stay, but room cards reset every day and required a front desk visit to fix. We had trouble getting new towels and answers to basic questions-how to dispose of overflowing garbage, how to get new towels, how can we prevent room key resets each day, etc.

Location was handy to the highway, restaurants, gas, and stores. Breakfast had a wide variety of hot and cold food and beverages. Walk-in shower was great, bed was comfortable, and the room was a good size. Everything was new, clean, and modern. Front desk person was very pleasant. Two different types of window shades was very useful! Background noise from the highway was really minimal.

The rooms were big, clean, and great interior, and the beds were comfortable. The location was great since it was only 10 minutes away from, and you could get fast back on the highway.

The breakfast staff was not supported enough by other staff colleagues for the number of guests at that night. The coffee was cold, and some breakfast items ran out before one person alone in the kitchen could fill it up. The trash can in the breakfast area was overly loaded by guests, and nobody cleaned it up.

The living space and Bathroom was modern, organized, and clean. The bed was comfy. The shower was powerful. The breakfast exceeded my expectations.

Room was freezing when we walked in. It said 68 but felt like 60. The ac units are probably just new and powerful. So I’m not mad.
