The manager/owner was very friendly and accommodating as we arrived sometime after 10pm. Although the furnishings needed updating and the bedsheets wearing a bit thin, they were clean and the bed comfortable. The room size was decent. The cool part was when we explored a bit the following morning and found the vegetable garden and hammocks and picnic area between the two buildings so that we lingered a bit longer soaking in the pleasant surroundings. We picked up bagels just up the street about a mile that were yummy and enjoyed our coffee at the picnic bench. Attention to detail, warm welcome, and cleanliness were outstanding features of this motel.

We came across a spider or two. I wasn't freaked out but my daughter is not a fan of spiders!

It's cute and it's clean. A perfectly good place to stay. The owner gave us water, which was kind given that it was a hot day. Yeah, it was a good, clean safe place.

There are fake fireplaces in the rooms, which are probably supposed to convey coziness, but mine made a clicking noise all night, which kept me awake. And who wants a fake fireplace when it's 80 outside anyways? It's a fine place, but that fake fireplace thing was annoying, and I didn't get much sleep. I guess I could have got up and unplugged it or something.

Our host/owner, Sonny, was AWESOME! We were greeted by Sonny with bottled water upon arrival. He let us borrow a cooler for our concert tailgating and hikes. His recommendations for area dining and activities were spot on! The hotel itself is a nicely renovated blast from the past, road side Motel, complete with neon sign and a nice veggie garden. We will definitely stay again when we are back in the area!! Thanks Sonny!!

The only thing I didn't like was that Sonny's garden is better than mine! ;o)

We stayed here as a home base for our travels around the area. Bed was comfy, room was clean, price was affordable. Hot shower. Little electric fireplace was nice on a drizzly day. Front desk person very nice, suggested restaurants in the surrounding towns for us. Great to have microwave and fridge in the room. Quiet, felt safe. Love the neon sign. :)

Location was not picturesque or particularly close to much, but as a home base for our travels around the area, it was just fine! We didn't mind driving around exploring.

This is a budget motel. In light of that: The owner was nice. I had an interesting conversation with him. He seemed to be helpful. I didn't have any needs to experience that though. The room was dry, free from odors and clean. The bed was to my liking - firm. My unit appeared to have have had all of the furnishings replaced recently. If you have high expectations, you will be disappointed. If you are satisfied with a comfortable bed, a clean and odor free room, as I am, you should be satisfied with Sara Glen.

Shower was a bit small. It is a little further from Saratoga Springs than I would have liked. Nothing much was an issue.

The owner is incredibly nice and accommodating. Dining suggestions to local attractions he is the guy. Ample parking. Property very well maintained. Even my picky wife liked it. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are a little dated but very clean and well maintained. Spotty patches of sand in the parking lot. I'm on a motorcycle. Just need to pay attention.

The man at checkin was very friendly and helped with some great recommendations. He was so nice! The room was very clean and fresh. The furnishings were older but the room was very clean and cleanliness is most important to me. Room was well lit and the tv had numerous channels. WiFi was strong. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water.

I couldn’t find an ice machine although there was an ice bucket in the room. Room a bit tight for opening 2 suitcases.

Far enough off the highway not to be bombarded by traffic noise. Very cute and clean exterior with sitting area. Beautiful kept yard with garden.

I enjoyed this property very much and don’t have any negatives about the aesthetic. My only “did not like” was the price was a little high because it was a concert weekend and the hotel was not sold out.

The motel was only 5 minute drive from relatives.

My husband and I are 81 and 78. We prefer handicapp accessibility especially in the bathroom, but those types of accomodations were not available. We knew this ahead of time and thought we could manage, and we did. There was a sturdy sink next to the shower and I used that as a handrail of sorts. The bottom of the tup that included the shower had grips built into the tub and that was helpful. It would be better if the establishment could have at least a third of their units handicapp accesible.

My second stay here and plan to come back again. Bed was comfortable considering I have a permanent back injury, had a great sleep. Super clean! No odors, room smelled faintly of whatever cleaning products they use. The owner is always friendly, and remembered that I had stayed before (even if it was something that comes up in booking). He's great at making genuine conversation/taking an interest, recommended some great attractions and breakfast spots. About a 10-15 minute drive from Lake George Village or same in the other direction to Saratoga Springs - great to be off the busy path but not too far to hop in the car if you don't need to be walking distance from everything. There's a little strip mall about a mile down the road with a grocery store, pizza place, liquor store, and shop or two for easy access to pick up last minute items.

My first stay was in a different room, and in the fall with fair weather, so I did not notice any issues with heating/cooling. This recent stay was single digit winter temps and our bathroom was freezing! The hot water was fine and the room was fine, just the bathroom itself. We turned our electric fireplace (which is a cute touch) towards the bathroom to help with that as it was close enough to do so. It wasn't a deal breaker; we'll be back.
