The breakfast was great, many more choices than I expected for a "continental" breakfast: eggs/premade mini-omelettes, a pancake machine, hash browns. Room was very comfortable with a nice sized bathroom, plus an additional sink out in the main part of the room, which is helpful. Indoor pool was nice to have, kiddo enjoyed that. Lots of restaurant options for dinner right nearby on the main road.

The pool was long and narrow, not that big: good for laps but not as much for playing which is what my child wanted to do; also the pool door didn't consistently unlock with my room keycard as it was supposed to. Also we had a first floor room not far from the lobby and things felt pretty noisy early in the morning. I could easily hear people in the hallway, a young child crying somewhere, etc.

Location, cleanliness, staff, comfortable room. Travis at the front desk when checking in AND out ( I don't think he ever went home that weekend) was very personable and informative. Always ready with friendly conversation.

Honestly, there was nothing I could write about here. I have a pretty stifff checklist for choosing hotels to stay at before making a reservation. Perhaps the cost was a little on the high side, but it was a special event weekend in Utica, and it's the way of the world with supply and demand when it comes to cost.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and as we had stayed there for a night a few days previously on the way to Niagra Falls we had liked it then so decided to stay again on the way back to Harrison, NY.

We were again charged twice for our room and the receptionist apologised that there was a fault in the system and assured us that the additional charge would be removed. We stayed on the ground floor this time and it was annoying to hear water constantly rushing through the pipes from the upper floor.

Spacious comfortable room. Guest laundry facilities which we did not use but convenient to have. Location close to Highway but very quiet. Lots of restaurants a few minutes walk away.

Only one person at reception. This person was away from the desk (helping someone elsewhere) when we arrived and we had to wait 15 min to check-in. There was a line up behind us of people waiting.

Free breakfast was excellent, even for someone with food intolerances. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were large, clean and attractively decorated. The location was right off the highway with a great restaurant in walking distance.

I was disappointed to find the rate was lower booking directly on the website.

It was clean and comfortable, and an ideal midway point between Boston MA and Niagra, Ontario. We were given vouchers for a free drink each at a lovely Italian restaurant nearby (Tavolo).

They had a problem with the checking in system where we were charged twice for our room but this was rectified within a few days.

Staff was very nice !

The main reason I pick this Hotel is I have worked in the hotel /restaurant business my whole life I started working at a Holiday Inn, I just ended a 3 year treatment for cancer and I wanted to get away , relax and go swimming ,which I love to do , but at check-in I was told the pool was not working , people should be told that before they arrive , as I learn on my stay it had been down quite a while , I was very disappointed at this

Break fast was OK. Nothing great - but nothing horrible.

More breakfast food options/choices would have made it better. Waffle and pancake making machines not operating. Oatmeal pot was empty and not available. Some fruit was available on day 1 of our stay, but there was NO fruit on day 2. Some of the premade breakfast options (biscuits, sausage, bacon, etc ) that did not "move" quickly became a bit hard/stale by the time we got to them.

The location was perfect. There were two excellent restaurants that were an easy walk away. We were going to see the Baseball Hall of Fame the following morning so this was a perfect starting point for a city that doesn't have as many hotel options.

Small fitness center and the quality of the breakfast items were not as good as what we've experiences at other Holiday Inn Express locations.

The rooms are very clean and very roomy. The beds are comfy and the bathroom is spacious. Great tv and also a refrigerator and microwave. Best thing was the breakfast- juices, coffee and tea, delicious oatmeal with nuts, etc. also biscuits with gravy and sausage, all kinds of breads and muffins. Nothing continental about it. FULL self service breakfast. And the most delightful and attentive lady that greeted everyone with a hello and smile and keep all food and beverages full. Such a great, pre-covid type breakfast. Worth staying there just for the breakfast - at least $25 at a diner.

The check in. When booking we had requested a ground floor room near an entrance/exit as my husband recently had knee and hip replacement. the hotel had replied that our request would be accommodated. When we arrived we were given a room on the 3rd floor. Mentioned our request and then given a room on the 1st floor. Then our room key did not work- possibly would work to initial room? Immediately went to the front desk and no one there and no sign as to expected return time. I waited 10 minutes (factual) until person returned. My husband stood by our room door with suitcase.
