Location is very convenient to the downtown area where my business meetings were being held. Staff was excellent - the breakfast was fantastic - my compliments to the kitchen staff. :) My room was very clean - everything worked great - even had an additional pillow & blanket in the closet "just in case."

Their parking lot was arranged a little strange, mostly due to the hill you go down to get into it, and is difficult to exit from as visibility of oncoming traffic isn't the best, but it conveniently connects to the "Waffle House" next door which is very easy to exit from. *The lobby wasn't in the best condition as there was remodeling in progress when I was there.

We had a nice stay at this property. It looked to be recently updated, so it was clean and well-maintained. The common areas were clean and the rooms were comfortable. A lot of other families were staying at this hotel, and we never heard any other children through the walls. We could not hear our sound machine from the hall, so the walls are not paper thin, which is great for loud families like mine. Breakfast was served every morning downstairs, and it was laid out nicely. The woman who served breakfast was a literal angel and helped me wash baby bottles when I realized I forgot my supplies at home. All-in-all, a great hotel for families thanks to its great location, the wonderful staff, and the overall feel of the hotel. They also have laundry for guests, which came in clutch with an 18 month old.

While the breakfast was tasty and clean every day, it was the same breakfast every morning. A little variety would have been nice.

This was a great location for visiting downtown. The hotel was VERY CLEAN. The only thing we didn't like was the overpowering smell of fake lemon room deodorizer. There was a plug in that was overpowering. I suffer from migraines and the smell was a trigger for me. We put it out the window for our stay but the smell didn't totally go away. The AC unit was in a locked closet that dripped water so loud it was difficult to sleep. One of those annoying sounds that shouldn't have bothered us but did. I'm wondering if mold and dampness is an issue and that was the reason for the plug in. The bathroom was VERY CLEAN and and housekeeping was very pleasant. We loved the Mexican restaurant right up the road too. Breakfast served the purpose. Not exceptional but average. I would stay again just not in a room with air freshener and a dripping AC.

Animals are allowed in eating area which I find very unsanitary.

The only issue I had was that I'm allergic to dogs and when he went down for breakfast a couple had there dog on a leash in the eatery area leashed to the table in the middle of the isle in front of the counter were all the hot food was sitting at for everyone to eat. We couldn't even go in and enjoy the breakfast due to not only me being allergic but I find it very unsanitary for any animals to be around food. So we had to drive down the road before heading home to get breakfast.

This stay was the first for my family and I in Asheville,N.C. Having been to this city 20 years ago. It was a lot more family friendly and a lot more hotel choices. The Country Inn & Suites was a perfect stay with a friendly staff and great amenities. The breakfast was always hot and plentiful. The room was clean and quiet regardless of the many families with little ones that was staying at the time we were there. A short drive thru Tunnel Road to downtown Asheville and the Nature Centre.

There was some construction going on on the first floor I did notice and I requested on the first day of arrival to be moved to the fifth floor which was super quiet. The pool was super chlorinated and burned my son and daughter delicate parts and other guests with young children mentioned the same experiences. The free parking was tight if you came back later from an outing , so be prepared to park on the side road on a weekend if you came back later at night.

We arrived 1 a.m. after a long day of travel from the West Coast. Night desk staff not too friendly or helpful. However, daytime staff was very different -- warm, cordial, helpful.

We booked two separate stays during our visit to Asheville. Our second stay was on 2nd floor. Our room was heavily perfumed and overlooked machinery for ventilation and heat and ac (I'm assuming). Perfume that was plugged into the socket was used to mask the odor outside our window. Avoid the 2nd floor rooms overlooking back parking area if you are sensitive to odors.

The breakfast and facilities.

There was no way to have a soft light in the bathroom for night time bathroom needs during the middle of the night. If you left the bathroom light on there was four lights burning as well as a fan which was annoying. A big waste of energy, and cost. Also I am 68 years old, and have a little bit of balance problem. There are no hand bars in the shower. I am not handicapped, and would not want to take up a handicap room, that someone who is truly handicapped, might need

Excellent breakfast -- coffee, tea, eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, fresh apples and oranges, yogurt, waffles, toast, bagels, muffins. Our room from 5th floor looked out at changing fall colors. Ample parking and near Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove and the Biltmore Estate.

Our stay was booked in two segments over 7 days. We booked 2 nights and were placed on the 5th floor. Last segment was for 4 nights and were given the 2nd floor. Those rooms were heavily perfumed with a plug in scented room fragrance which almost made me nauseous as I am allergic to fragrances. Had to unplug the thing and open windows. Without the fragrance thing, room had a slight unpleasant odor that was mix of something like old food and diesel.

Breakfast was very good with hot options available and plenty of choices to choose from. Breakfast area is small so either come early or late for breakfast for a table. Hotel is in a pretty quiet area did not hear any road noise. Great location close to Biltmore.

Room heat/ac unit cannot be set any lower than 68 degrees, like to sleep in a cooler room. All Comfort Inns apparently use the same coffee machines (recently stayed in a few) and the coffee is pretty lousy. It’s extremely dark and strong and need to add hot water and 4-5 little half and half’s!

Country Inn & Suites Asheville is a very nice hotel, not far from the city center. Great staff! Although it might look a little outdated, the room (and also the rest of the hotel) was exceptionally clean!! Apparently the housekeeping staff really understands their job. Big compliment. Also the staff at breakfast did their best to keep up with the inflow of guests. All-in-all great price-quality ratio!

The breakfast room was too small for the inflow of guests at the peak. Might have been a one-time issue, but during our stay that led to delay in supplying the food. Although the staff did their best, it was a challenge.
