I thought the room was pleasant and very clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, even when compared to our PosturePedic bed at home. The location to downtown and outdoor hiking activities in the mountains was very nice. The staff was helpful in an instant when asking about getting connected to the spotty wi-fi, and I noticed an improvement the next day regarding the connectivity, which was great for the rest of our visit. I have a feeling something got fixed after I asked about it. We mostly ate at nicer local restaurants, but I did like the fact that we could walk to some fast food places for the kids when needed.

The speed humps in the parking lots are too sharp and make you slow down way to much and a couple of them are within feet of each other. I just thought they were excessively annoying. The swimming pool setup was nice, and we enjoyed it, but it looks like the tiles and room needs redone soon as the chlorine looks to be eating it's way under the tiles and even some metal window framing. Those tiles were quite slick, too! The surrounding properties to the hotel were a little downtrodden, but fine.

The property is in a fantastic location, super close to down town Asheville only about a 5-10 minute drive. The view is so pretty, and its super close to lots of restaurants, grocery stores, and activities. This hotel was one of the cheaper options for us, and the staff and the quality is even better than more expensive places we have stayed. The 2 people at the front desk on our first night were so incredibly kind and welcoming, it definitely set the tone for the rest of our trip :)

My only complaint is the breakfast is always the same, we stayed for 5 days and it’s always the same hot stuff, however there’s enough variety that you can change it up a little.

The accommodations and staff were excellent. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The Keurig machine for making coffee and tea in our room was handy.

The breakfast was unsatisfactory—the processed eggs, or powdered eggs, were spongy and tasteless. Poor selections of breads/pastries and fruit. Pastries were like those from a vending machine. Apples were the only fresh fruit. We ate breakfast at a restaurant after the first day.

From the start, I was greeted by welcoming faces, & enjoyed being able to decompress with no worries what so ever. As I’m near McDowell, I was informed nearby locals despite being out of county are hard to be accepted at times, although I’ve never had an issue with that outside of the county I reside as it’s 40+ miles out. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the facilities, & will look forward to potentially considering another getaway there as my effort, & work environment is extremely important to me as a self employed individual. Where I go, my work goes, & all facilities were great!

They provided good quality shower products so I didn’t need my own while there. They made the beds and replaced the towels during the day while we were gone. They have a washer and dryer BUT you need quarters to use them. I enjoyed the indoor jacuzzi and the indoor pool. They have a decent snack area with reasonable pricing. The breakfast was what I expected and there was decent variety. I loved the balcony at the back; I went out there just to read and it was nice. They have nice parking for guests and you’re very close to many restaurants and stores. The pillows were so comfortable! I would definitely stay there again!

There’s no ATM on site which was only an inconvenience when I needed to use the washer and dryer.

This was , by far , the cleanest hotel i have ever stayed at !!! Wasn't even one cigarette butt in the parking lot !! Staff was wonderful, beds oh so comfy, even pillows were awsome!! Give u 4 and a mix of soft and hard to make all happy ! All dove soaps AND shampoos in shower !! Breakfast area was also SO clean , not one crumb to be seen !!! Although food was hotel bfast it was fresh and delicious!! Had green mountain coffee pods in room and 24 hour coffee in lobby :) Close to everything and even though right next to highway was so very quiet I never heard a peep from anything , cars nor people!!! You can't go wrong here my friends!!!

Absolutely everything! This was the cleanest hotel we’ve stayed in I think by far. The staff was amazing and so kind. The room was perfect and comfortable. It was quiet. The breakfast was delicious and had healthy options. The breakfast attendant was so nice and really “on it” with being helpful to everyone. I think* she said her name was Beatrice. She was wondering. The breakfast area was awesome. The pool was great except the hot tub jets didn’t work. It was a really cool and unique pool design being half outside and half inside.

Not a thing except the hot tub jets not working was a little bit of a bummer.

Good location, nice spaces, friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, good coffee for hotel coffee. The fire alarm did its job well when somebody lit a candle in their room. The hotel was sold out, but it was surprisingly quiet.

Our first room had something quite nasty on the toilet seat. Also learned that room had a WiFi router expander in the room, and we’d rather not sleep that close to one. Second room was fine, but cleanliness was not over the top by any means. And the floor cleaner used in the public spaces has a REALLY strong odor.

Everything! The cleanliness, the amazingly helpful staff, the well-maintained amenities, the breakfast (outstanding options!). Entering the lobby there felt like an oasis of calm and tranquility - just what we needed. Our room was spotless, serene, everything was well cared for. It just felt fabulous to stay there. I decided to join IHG Rewards based on my stay there and immediately booked another room at Holiday Inn in Ohio for the next leg of our travel.

The location was not truly walkable to downtown. It was close enough to walk, but you have to navigate through parking lots and highly traveled roadways to get there.

Very quiet, quick short drive to downtown, free parking, included free hot breakfast with delicious coffee (eggs, sausage, oatmeal, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast). Comfortable bed with in room fridge, microwave & coffee maker and good size bathroom. Very friendly staff~Small outdoor and indoor pool available. Walkable distance from grocery store, gas station, fast food and sit down restaurants~

This is not really a dislike: Was hoping it would be closer to downtown but it was only a 1.5 mile drive to the heart of downtown~
