We just use a hotel for sleeping and to eat breakfast to start the day, and this place was perfect for that. Dale in the kitchen was amazing! Very friendly and helpful.

we got locked out of our room almost every time, the code to the key did not work, and the app for my phone was for some reason not an option. Very frustrating with kids, Christmas gifts, and when you need to use the bathroom! One night there was nobody at the front desk, so I called them while standing in the lobby, and the only way I got a response was when I went to bang on the staff door. The lady answered and asked me why I didn’t stand at the front desk. I had been standing there forever!

Breakfast was great, you had a good selection from cereal, to eggs and bacon or sausage. Juices, turnovers, waffles, or pancakes, toast or bagel. Fresh Fruit, yogurt. Everything was conveniently locate, a Walmart right down the street, and places to eat, down another way - in the town of Belmont. Great sight seeing area.

Really can't think of anything that could have been better. Wish we could of come a little sooner so we could have seen more that was available there in the area is probably the only thing. Some of the Christmas light options were closed on the 24th and 25th, so may have to make a trip back next year to see what we missed.

I’ve stayed here before as it’s super close to Belmont Abbey (as I’m walking distance), and convenient to the I85, Charlotte, Gastonia etc. The staff are courteous and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The WiFi is good, the breakfasts are as well. There is an adequate fitness room and a laundry (which wasn’t working last time I was there but I believe was working this time).

There is nothing really. The property is having some refurbs done which it could use as the carpets in the common areas are quite manky.

Just needed somewhere for one night before flying out the next day from Charlotte. This was far enough from the airport not to be an `airport` hotel and it was well located for me coming off i-85 (West of the airport by about 6km). Coming from the UK, the rooms can be said to be a bit dated, with wooden frame furniture but it was functional & clean. The most important thing was a comfy bed, and it was so quiet and I slept well. That is far more important. The other bonus was a sensible breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausages, toasted bagels and a waffle maker. Much better selection than another hotel that I reviewed recently. Ample free parking and easy access to i-85. Would certainly stay here again. They also allow pets if you book ahead for an extra fee.

Nothing really.

Breakfast was hot and fresh with plenty of seating. Room was good sized. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was big enough for a big guy like me. Wife and I had enough space for both of our stuff. Amenities were useful but allowed for plenty of room. Quiet location, despite being riight next to a highway.

The only thing... No outlets next to the bed for clocks or phone chargers, ect. Lights were on the wall, but no plugs (or the plugs were not easily accessible).

Property was close to the airport and check-in was easy. Breakfast was served early (6am) and was satisfying.

Not really a negative, but just odd. In the kingsize room, the TV was off to one side of the bed, rather than at the foot of the bed. A little more difficult to see than straight-on for both persons on the bed

Nice hotel, everything I would expect from a Hampton Inn. Safe, clean, comfortable, predictable good breakfast.

Check-in needs to be quicker. The whole skip past the front desk with your magic key on your phone hasn't worked for either one of my 2 stays at Hampton Inn's.

Perfect location near downtown. Secluded property, wouldn’t know the highway was near. Felt safe and was quiet. Loved the layout of the room, basic amenities. Comfortable bed and good amount of space. Large basic bathroom with shelves. Lobby was clean and spacious. Good breakfast with many options. Staff nice and welcoming.

toilet kept running the entire time. couldn’t hear it from the bedroom when the AC was on but definitely a little annoying when in the bathroom.

The breakfast offered plenty of choices. The gym was nice.

The outdoor space was not ready for visitors. It was in disrepair, yet I was charged more for “Memorial Day Weekend”. If I’m going to be charged more, make sure you’re ready for me. Also, using Booking.com blocks guests from earning Hampton points.

Very nice place. Will stay here again. The room was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Loved the pool!

Need chaise lounges in the pool area. Carpeting in elevators needs to be replaced due to dampness and odor. Its not horrible, just not pleasant.
