The young lady who greeted us and said goodbye. The friendliness of the staff. The rest, relaxation & rejuvenation we received! Everything is within walking distance. The cleanliness. Breakfast. The European ambiance and charm - Splendid! The upkeep, superb!

The other young lady who called multiple times and haggled us about payment while we were trying to rest. She seemed rude and 'needy'; meaning, it was as though nagging is a hobby, a not so good fit for the hospitality industry. She really needs to reconsider her approach, position, and purpose. On the upside, "sweet" sounding voice.

It’s fairly close to downtown and it has a shuttle that takes guests to within walking distance to some of the UNC stadiums.

Room was stark. Wooden floors are cold and not comfortable to walk on barefoot! There should be at least one grab bar in the shower. The dining service was limited. No lunch! The staff could not get the large lobby tv to show the main football game of the day so some of us could see the end after coming back out of the freezing weather.

The staff was excellent beyond anything one could expect. Every issue that came up was immediately addressed. Even when the issue was not related to the hotel but due to weather or a business cancellation and need for a private conference room to have a remote meeting. They delivered over and over. The morning and night staff sept 28-29 I wish I could name them so they could get appropriate recognition.

The bed is not as soft as I like

We have stayed several times at the Siena. The location is very convenient to stores, restaurants, and walking trails, and parking is ample (and free!). We travel with our dog, and the pet fee is quite reasonable. The rooms (and the bathrooms) are large and well-appointed, and are not cookie-cutter. Despite being right on Franklin Street, the hotel is quiet, and the free coffee is very good. The staff is always welcome and eager to help when necessary.

As during our previous stay (in November), there was just one elevator in operation. (The second one started working the day before we left this time.) Since there are just 4 floors, it's just a minor irritation.

What was not to like ? Right from the start, at the door, the staff greeted us, the desk was courteous and professional. The room was outstanding.

I wouldn’t say these are things that I didn’t like about the property as much as suggestions. You have people coming from all different parts of the State and the Country, put an outside butt can somewhere near (10 - 15 ft) to front entrance, so they have a place to their cigarettes out and butts in prior to going in the hotel when first getting there. Secondly, they have big orange flower pots in front of the hotel. Take one and put a false bottom in it. Then either use artificial flowers or plant on top of it. Cut the side out of it so that they can slide Lp gas tank they use for their fire pit. And bury the line from the flower pot to the fire pit. That way from the parking lot you won’t see the Lp tank.

The hotel was a really neat building with lots of green plants. The best asset was their staff. They were friendly, spend time on your requests or questions. The food, a bar menu unfortunately because the dining room was closed, was excellent. The room was large, the windows and balcony doors could be opened. It was surprisingly quiet for an in town hotel.

The main dining room was closed on Mondays.

Staff, food, general style of the hotel (albeit in need of some refurbishment), possibility to order a shuttle car (albeit pricey), coffee/tea maker, French balcony and general comfort of the room

Middle-of-nowhere location, no mini bar, no bags for litter disposal, no shower cap, no power adapter

Somewhere over the rainbow (for now we'll just call it Chapel Hill, haha) lies a hotel that's so close to perfection, one would dare to click their heels whilst evaluating whether they'd awakened in Oz! Emulating themes inspired by Tuscany, as I see it, no trip to Italy is complete without a charcuterie platter, bottle of vino and pasta of some sort. The on-site Italian ree-sto-RAHN-teh hardly came up short as each dish; served by a knowledgeable team of professionals was not only bountiful, but sumptuously served to perfection. I'm certain that parishioners of Florence are someplace blushing simply from the milieu conveyed by this second coming of Italy. "Lavorro ben fatto!!!" (Job well done!) Upgraded to a suite, we found our oversized abode included everything beneath the sun! From 2 chase lounges to dual Juliet verandas and a bed that served as the equivalent of resting at the foot of the baby Jesus. When mirrored by exceptional customer service and paralleled with outstanding room service and a price tag that didn't break the bank.... What's not to like????? Oh yeah. Leaving!

I honestly didn't like leaving! Times like this seriously drive me to wish I'd reserved lodging here for a longer span of time!

We have stayed several times at The Siena, and will return. They have reasonable fees for keeping our dog with us; the rooms are large and comfortable; parking is easy, ample, and free; and the hotel is conveniently located on Franklin Street (but not too close to the UNC campus). The staff is always welcoming and, when necessary, helpful.

There was a little disruption as repair persons worked on the elevators. There are 2 (the hotel is just 4 stories), and only 1 was out of service at any given time. No major problem, and I appreciate that they were maintaining the elevators!
