Fairfield Inn & Suites Charlotte Arrowood

This is one of the better hotels we have stayed in in the Charlotte area. We travel every Memorial day weekend to go to the race in Concord. I will be returning next year to this establishment. It was very clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

It is tucked away back in behind Wendy's fast-food restaurant. Would have liked to have seen a sign out by the main road for it because it is kinda hidden back in there.

The head housekeeper was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC

They had my reservation but no room for me to stay in, ended up getting a handicapped room which when I was told I wasn’t happy about it but once I got in and settled I wouldn’t let them change it because it was great!!

Good hotel, with a standard room and breakfast, close to the exit to the highway. The soundproofing was impressive, despite the constant noise from airplanes and birds outside, the room was very quiet. Spacious free parking. The pool was good.

There were no towels near the pool, it was not critical for us, since our room was the closest to the pool, but it was unusual

Room was quiet and comfortable. Beakfast and attendant was very nice.

Desk light was burned out. Clerk was unable to replace bulb or change out the lamp. Only option was to change rooms and I had already unpacked. Hallway floor had large stains. Disappointed that sign in lobby indicated that pool would be closing at 8. That just seemed too early. Was only there one night and booked at hotel with a pool.

Our flight has been cancelled traveling from Florida to Michigan and we were stuck in Charlotte with no luggage, no toothbrush, no anything. The staff took great care of us and made sure we had what we needed. The next morning there was a great breakfast selection. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. It was great to have a hot meal after the crazy day we’d had the day before. They were able to give me a late check out that was super helpful and very much appreciated.

Staff was friendly, beds were comfy, location was good.

I wasn’t expecting a gourmet meal; however, the breakfast left a lot to be desired. The coffee was cold (and empty on day 2). Didn’t get another pot going, even when the breakfast crowd picked up. Cereal was almost empty on day 1 and completely gone on day 2 without any attempt to refill or replenish stock. Only one pan of bacon/sausage and eggs were provided and once it was gone, it was gone. Breakfast selections need improvement.

Rooms quiet. Beds comfortable. Cleaning staff very friendly. We don't need our rooms cleaned every day but just fresh towels -- they were very accommodating.

Breakfast offering was not adequate. Only had oatmeal and Jimmy Dean Egg/Sausage biscuits and some breakfast beverages. We had to go elsewhere for breakfast -- which did not make my day. I was told that more breakfast items would be offered soon. All this is a result of COVID. Would have been nice if the front desk mentioned the limited selection when we checked in vs being surprised in the morning. Hence gave lower marks for value and facilities

The hotel was very nice the rooms were beautiful and clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel location was only about 15 minutes from downtown (uptown) via the expressway. It was great.

Only negative I can say was that when we arrived the original reservation couldn't be found with the confirmation numbers provided. However, they were able to rebook us at the price we originally paid. But I had a charge the next day to my card from the hotel and the front desk staff nor customer service could tell me what that charge was. They were even telling me they couldn't find the charge under my account. After being told it was possibly the incidental fee, and waiting two weeks it was finally discovered that the charge was a no-show charge for my original reservation that they couldn't find. I was refunded the fee after that but the issue of them not being able to tell me why my card was charged $114 was really what frustrated me. That and waiting two weeks to find out why.

This is the first breakfast buffet that I have seen open since the beginning of Covid-19! Breakfast Buffet was great and was free! Hall and Room carpets were clean and room was very nice and clean.

Only negative I have is that Wendy's next door was not open for sit down service and only accepted cash. No hotel negatives at all.

We drive from Columbus, OH to Orlando, FL, and back several times a year. We always select the Fairfield Inn-Arrowood as our stop along the way!! On this trip, we stopped to and from. On the way, we were impressed with the gentleman who handled the breakfast. He attended to all the guests' needs during the COVID-19 protocols. On our trip back--I accidentally left my suitcase in the lobby and didn't realize it until we were in Ohio. They graciously mailed my suitcase to me (rightfully, at my cost). What was important to me is that I got all my cute Minnie Mouse suitcase back and all the items that were inside. It was those items that I use on a daily basis (make-up straightener, etc.) intact, without an 8-hour drive there and back to get it!! Just a quick phone call on my part and quick action on their part. Great team!
